Super cool, cute hang out spot we found on line. Place is big but as it's still winter the inside is not big and crowded. We sat outside in the tent area that was heated. As far as the drinks I'm not sure I loved it. Drinks are overpriced and not that tasty. We order the same drink but different bartenders and it tasted very different from the first one. Came here today with my grandmother and sister who was visiting. I had heard about this place last summer but hadn't had a chance to try them out yet. We came by tonight to try out some drinks, especially since they distill their own rum (which is my poison of choice). There were only a few people there since it was a weekday. I liked that there was a sectioned off area for ordering at the bar since everyone knows sometimes the hardest part of ordering a drink is getting a bartenders attention in a crowded bar. Obviously, it wasn't an issue today since the bar was pretty empty. My grandmother ordered the special (Shark Tooth) and said it was great. I had the Shunpike Punch but I didn't feel like the juices meshed well together. My sister had the Rum Daquiri and it was almost like a lime flavored rum shot on the rocks. Drinks were definitely strong; no weak pours here! I would probably order a different drink on my next visit though. read more

Another great tasting place not to be missed while in Cape May. Nauti Distillery is located on a beautiful land, with a barn style house for tasting and nice seating areas outside. The distillery itself - well there is a still you can see, but really you are here to drink not sight see. Upon entry, you can get a $10 tasting of tiny shots of vodka, gin and rum. They use sweet potatoes as basis for ethanol creation, which does give a nice sweet finish to alcohol. I liked Vodka the most, and my wife was fan of gin. After tasting, you get in line to order cocktails. I'll say - their cocktails are outstanding. The line wait can be a PITA (especially on busy days), but drinks are worth it. Our party had 6 different cocktails and all were home-runs. Outdoors, there is a guy shucking oysters. You can get as many local fresh oysters as you want - to accompany your drinking (cause alcohols here is strong). There is also a stand for freshly made crepes. So food options are available right outside and can be eaten inside the distillery. Outdoor space is very cute and one can play Jenga or bean bag toss, or just chill by fireplace with a nice cocktail. I love my spirits and cocktails and was excited to try Nauti while up in Cape May. The grounds are beautiful--it's a great, open space with plenty of outdoor seating with picnic tables and chairs surrounding fire pits. When we were there they had a food truck (shrimp and Brussel sprouts where awesome; chicken tenders were too thin and as a result dry but good french fries), an honor system pantry with local produce and products, and chickens, which the kids enjoyed. The space is also a farm, which they use to go into their products. They have a few board games to play, giant Jenga, and I believe cornhole boards. They also had a giant water station--think one of those giant kegs you see on football sidelines. I mentioned early on that it was empty and it wasn't refilled for the duration of our visit. Having never been there I was hoping to taste a few of their spirits. When I asked about doing a tasting the bartender seemed taken aback by such a request. I was interested in the gins and whiskeys but after feeling like I was putting him out I just did the two gins, the classic in particular was nice and at a perfect proof. It'd be great to offer a formal tasting option. My wife had a draft cocktail and while good it was too heavy on the juice. My old fashioned was great but I'd say on the pricier end--they offer three prices depending on the whiskey, rye, or bourbon, I believe $18-20 respectively. For the second round there was a considerable line and with only two bartenders it moved slowly. We had another old fashioned and a charmer and again both drinks were great--I'd definitely recommend the hand crafted cocktails over the draft based on our experience. When leaving I did buy a bottle of gin since I was able to taste that but was bummed that one of the bottles for bar use wasn't for sale, the rye I believe. The bourbon was $90 but not being able to taste it I wasn't going to shell out that kind of money. The woman who checked us in and out was professional enough but didn't come across as friendly or welcoming. So, cocktails were good, spirits I tried were good, but they could use more staff or servers and a better system of taking orders. It's definitely worth a visit but customer service could be improved. read more

So a couple of tips before you go...1) bring lawn chairs/blankets. There are not many tables despite it saying "plenty of seating". 2) bring food! They have a food truck, but we picked up pizza along the way and it was the best decision we could've made. 3) BE. PATIENT. they have one place to order drinks and the line got VERY long VERY quickly. People were waiting for drinks for a good hour. We went on a day that was said to be busier than usual. COVID + 60 degree weather down the shore = let's drink! There's a ton of space, but not many picnic tables. We got there an hour after opening when there were barely lines and all of the tables were taken. People were just waiting for one to open up. If we had known beforehand that bringing our own chairs was on option, we obviously would've gone that route. But, we didn't, so we had to awkwardly stare at people at their tables to see if they were getting up. The drinks we tried (Delaware bay breeze & cold spring crush) were good. The DBB was very sweet but our favorite of the two. It was nice to pair with the pizza we picked up. Would we go back up for the same drinks? Probably not. We would definitely want to try something different. I wasn't dying to have the drink again. Our favorite part was the atmosphere. This was a perfect fall place. They decorated the outside so nicely: picnic tables, tents, string lights, farmer's market shed, and corn maze. We really wanted to try to go through the corn maze but the already high waits and crowds steered us away. I would definitely try this place if you're thinking about it. Be prepared with chairs, blankets, and even a table if you want to set your food/drinks down somewhere. read more

Stopped by as part of a bachelorette party, and as an FYI, they card everyone, every age. There's bar seating, table seating, and outdoor seating (which also contains one tiny firepit). They make speciality cocktails, and to my knowledge, they do not make any wine or beer. The first thing to note about this place is how amazing the service is. Our party took a big liking to Tito, who helped us get good deals on drinks, and went the extra mile to bring additional chairs and things that we needed but didn't even have to ask for! Live music moved in to entertain us in the evening as the sun began to set. There are some food options, which are actually made available by an outdoor barbecue vendor, so their hours may differ. I thought it was cool that I could text my order in, with all my specifications ("no meat, extra jalapeños"), and they could even ring it up on my card without having to run away with it and bring it back. The bartender was friendly and was able to make me a custom cocktail that wasn't on the menu. I wasn't thrilled with the flavor of their rum, but we enjoyed our time here so much that everyone is talking about coming back later this summer- if nothing else, then for Tito's amazing service. read more

I was really excited to visit Nauti Spirits after finding their Facebook page and reading all the status updates. And I did mostly enjoy my visit -- until the end. So, let's go over the good things first: -- Absolutely gorgeous farm grounds. Super tranquil, lovely, maintained well. Awesome setting for a date or small group outing. It's especially beautiful during golden hour. -- Interior is just as well done. It feels new and classy, and it has all the elements you'd expect from a nice drinking environment. -- It serves as a nice alternative to beer or wine. Distilleries offer a different experience and I appreciate the work that goes into creating the vodka. I tried a small sip of my friend's cocktail and it was really nice. I wish I could leave my review at that. But honestly, I'm unlikely to be a return customer after the way I was treated by the bartender when it was time to pay. When we arrived, I had a bad headache so I opted to abstain from the complementary vodka sample and a full cocktail. Instead, I asked about non-alcoholic options and they listed off some sodas. I said I'd get the orange. Now, anywhere else when you order a soda, the general price would be somewhere around $1-3. I'd even be willing to spend $4 for a big pour. But what I got was a pour in a cocktail glass filled with ice. For $6. What? Like, at least make it a mocktail if you're going to charge that much. I said I thought that was outrageous, and the bartender strongly defended the pricing / clearly didn't understand why I was upset. He said it was a homemade orange soda made with fresh-squeezed oranges. Well, okay, I get that it's fancy soda and whatever...but I've had the draft soda at area breweries that is just as high-quality for way less cash. And if you want to charge $6, please post it in bold on your menu so I'm not caught off guard like that. Because of his attitude, I'm not itching to return to try their cocktails. I understand it's a new establishment and they're likely working out kinks, but I wish they could handle customer feedback in a more respectful manner. But I do wish them the best of luck. read more

After some disappointing visits to local wineries, we came by Nauti. The spirits are good and they pour drinks strong. We visited in late April so it was chilly outside, but we enjoyed the outdoor area just the same. They also do trivia. read more

First time visit to Nauti Spirits during 4th of July weekend. The inside bar is absolutely beautiful with a great deal of seating. There are many card games and board games to choose from to play as you enjoy your cocktail. Outside patios also feature plenty of seating and an additional bar with draft cocktails. Lots of great handcrafted beverages to choose from, but the service was incredibly slow inside. There appeared to be only one bartender making all of the drinks, with a second one joining in as we approached the front to order. He appeared to be new, as he consulted a recipe book to make our cocktails. Midway through making our drinks, he stopped to process a credit card transaction. Although my Bloody-Bloody was tasty, I was minorly disappointed that it was missing the Old Bay rim as described in the cocktail menu. Would give this a second chance, just not on a holiday weekend. read more

Love this place! Between this year and last we have been there 4 times. The cocktails are fantastic. The fried zucchini from the food truck and cocktails, yummy. I have purchased 4 bottles of their Nauti Signal gin which is very good. Their botanicals that are distilled into gin make for a very nice Martini. We will be back in early September. read more

What a wonderful addition to the Cape May entertainment scene. Cute space off the beaten path in North Cape May. Sampled a couple of the offerings which were not for me and ended up opting for the island punch. Although they can't offer food, there is a food truck on the grounds that will deliver food to you. You just text them your order and it is walked in the restaurant in a matter of minutes. We had the opportunity to chat with the owner while we were there and bought tickets to the upcoming concert on August 23rd. We are looking forward to it! read more

I had avoided coming here since they opened as I was under the impression they only distilled vodka. I was pleasantly surprised to find they did both gin and rum. We stopped in for a quick cocktail on the way back from Cape May Brewing and sat outside while sipping the delicious concoctions. I went with their version of the rum-based classic, the Dark and Stormy. I found it to be an excellent drink served in an ice-cold tin. The wife had the Forbidden Fruit which was gin, pomegranate, pineapple, lemon and bitters which she also enjoyed. As we both liked our cocktails we ended up grabbing a bottle of each spirit on the way out. read more

We had a good drink but chose not get a second because there was one bartender. She was busting her a$$ and doing the best she could to make/pour drinks. I give her 5 stars. However, the wait to order a drink was 30 minutes. Now, there were 3 people sitting behind the check in / clothing desk. Two were doing a lot of nothing. I'm sure they do not have their SAFE-serve certification and they cannot be helping. That said, I'm sure like other places, help is scarce. This is the second time we've been here, and it was just as good as last year. It's set back from the road a little, but there's a red sign on the road that points you in the right direction. The inside is nice and open, and you enter through the gift shop, which is filled with a lot of cool stuff like a custom ice mallet and an assortment of shirts and sweatshirts. The main seating area is sunny, and the main focus of the room is a beautiful bar. You order drinks in the middle of it (there's a little section fenced off). The drinks on tap and the ones made to order are great. They use local fruits, which causes them to rotate drinks sometimes. They have a nice tasting for $5 (vodka, gin and rum) too. Both times I've been here, it's been pretty busy. They have oysters and other food outside as well. They added board games like a big jenga, which would be a lot of fun with a big group. Stumbled upon this distillery when making a wrong turn to get to the beach recently. Saw the sign & decided to grab a cold drink after spending time in the sun. Upon entering you are first greeted by a view into the distilling process & area, with a sign explaining what you're seeing. We visited on a Sunday, so no distilling was in process, but it was still cool to see how the liquors are made. You then proceed into the bar area. A large high ceiling space with the bar front & center. After waiting a bit for two seats to open up at the bar, and then waiting a bit longer to be served, we finally were warmly greeted by the bartender. I ordered my normal vodka club and immediately had beverage envy upon seeing all the various & colorful cocktails being made at the bar for the other patrons. Not only do they hand craft their spirits, but they hand make their mixers & sodas as well. They make their vodka out of sweet potatoes, the very ones growing in the fields surrounding the parking area. The bartenders let us sample any of the liquors we wanted, and I was intrigued by the sweet potato vodka so I had a taste sans any mixers. However my unsophisticated palate was unable to detect any traces of the potatoes. During our visit it was pretty crowded both inside and at the outdoor seating area, so seating was limited. It seems like they could benefit from adding a few more tables & chairs, as they certainly had the space for it. After finishing our drinks we headed out, and just like a ride at an amusement park, you must exit through the gift shop. Overall we had a good time, & didn't experience any rude bartenders like others have commented. I will surely be back next summer! read more

I like the vodka. I like the atmosphere. I like the location. I like just about everything it had to offer except the sodas and attitudes of the bartenders at the conclusion of our visit. He wasn't very nice to my friend. The sodas are outrageous for what you get. The over iced/watered down 'homemade' soda was a let down. That was $6 of disappointment and I don't recommend getting that solo. Lower that ASAP or increase the quality and quantity of the product. I tried the pineapple and my friend had the orange soda. Now that I've addressed that, the vodka is very good. It's very clean tasting and won't leave you with a death hang over. They have a small drink menu for $11 per drink, one specialty cocktail for $9, and no food. I enjoyed what I had, and the vodka pour was decent. This is what you need to focus on! Bonus - they have a patio outside that would be a great place to chill. This is a place to bring a date or your friends. Seats are limited, but get there and wait it out and you'll grab some. I loved this Distillery! From all the decor, how open it is, the outdoor space and then amazing drinks!!! They have many options from specialities they make to your basics. The Shark Tooth with the jalapeno vodka was sooo good, however, when I got a second i had it without the salt rim- that part tasted odd to me. We also go the Blitzen and 2000lb dog- all very good! Folded in a stop here while checking out a few wineries. It has been open five months and offers unique spirits, vodka, rum and gin, handcrafted on site. We tried the tasting basically a short shot of each. The vodka was good and the rum and gin were heavily influenced by anise. We both had cocktails which were tasty. The venue is brand new with attractive bar furnishings and a nicely designed tasting area. The barkeep was informative and helpful describing the background and history of the place. The spirits are $30 & $32 per bottle. We did not buy any. They seem to be getting way ahead of themselves with all sorts of tchotchkes, tee shirts, sweatshirts, etc., on sale in the gift shop. The views are beautiful and the drinks are truly delish. I bought a bottle of vodka and it lasted a really long time. You dont need much for a drink. The ABV on the drinks are high.
