[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love this location so much more than the one by Home Depot! The ambiance just feels a lot cozier and I love their maximalist decor![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried their pesto sandwich and chai latte! The sandwich was a lot smaller than I anticipated it to be but was absolutely delish especially with the salad dressing and salad pairing! As for chai, I'm usually very picky about it because I want it to have a stronger sweeter flavor and not only did it fulfill this, but also had the spice on the bottom which is always a good sign it's not straight syrup! 4/5 chai

Mint mocha - pretty good! Minty and chocolatey Breakfast burrito - not as much filling as I would've liked. There was also too much tortilla

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is cute and unexpected. The ambience is 90's skate/grunge. It has the best decor (in my opinion) without being tacky.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tons to look at while you wait for your food or drink. They have a couple TVs and even arcade games. There's a corner where you can set up to work on your laptop as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was super nice and d helpful when I didn't know what to order. We ordered two sandwiches, a burrito, 3 fancier coffees and cookie for about $45. The chocolate chip cookie was a hit. My California bagel sandwich was delicious and fresh. The croissant sandwich (switched with a bagel because they were out of croissants) was a hit with my picky daughter and the breakfast burrito was good. My husband wished there was more salsa in it but it was still good. It had cream cheese which was different but tasty. I got a white lightning at the suggestion of the barista for something caffeinated but sweet. Definitely needed more cream but it did have a good flavor and once I added more cream it was exactly what I was looking for! My husband got a vanilla latte and he loved it. My daughter got a blended mint chocolate chip drink. So delicious! Would recommend and come back!

Oh Warriors...? Come out and play-ee-yay!?!

Greeted immediately upon entry, we were happy to see at end of day there were still pastries available. The Blueberry muffin tasted great and we appreciated the heat up. My Mint Chocolate Mocha was fantastic. The real winner was my wife's decaf black and white latte! Loved the interior decor and how spacious the establishment is. "Oh Warriors...? Come out and play-ee-yay!?!" (See picture!) Will definitely return as our prime SLO coffee shop (beating out all others. And there were plenty we were disappointed with!)

California eggel on. Sesame seed bagel. Tasty.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice location along the Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tasty well prepared breakfast foods. We had a California eggle, Mom's eggs, orange cream drink and hot chocolate. Smaller portions. Like a one egg omelette size. The avocado was fresh. All for $33. So a breakfast in the more pricey side. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a pleasant place to eat breakfast though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good outdoor seating with a view of the Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken Chipotle Sandwich and pomegranate drink.

I was in SLO to have a tire on our car checked for a leak. I asked the service manager at the desk about a nearby place to eat. He mentioned the cafe across the street which turned out to be Nautical Bean. That was a fortuitous recommendation for me. It was a short walk and worth it. The place is coffee house and bistro. I ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich and a blended pomegranate drink. The sandwich was excellent and came with Asian cole slaw. The drink was delicious and refreshing I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the time in the bistro which is creatively and artistically decorated with old photos and memorabilia. The next time that we are in SLO and want lunch, we will navigate to Nautical Bean.

I don't know what it is about SLO, but with each visit, I get this hankering for a breakfast burrito. Nothing fancy needed, eggs, bacon, potatoes and cheese, the perfect car food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sitting in my car in front of one lone cacti, sipping coffee with one hot burrito, this is how Wednesday mornings should be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Employees were easy going, it's clean and fits the vibe of SLO.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of my favorite coffee shops in slo because I love the choice of signature coffees, they have a solid food menu, theres lots of seating (although busy at times) and the decor is awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the shot in the dark (dirty chai) and it's delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibes here and nice to sit and work[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place has beautiful and fun decorations. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. I ordered Mexican Mocha with macadamia milk. They have so many milk substitutes if you are lactose intolerant, which I absolutely love. I also got the breakfast burrito, which has decent portions (worth the price). I also got the Vermont Maple Muffin, which was divine. The service was kind and quick. Definitely will be coming back to this place.

FunkTastik! Nautical Bean has morphed into it in past 5+ years? We dig it!!! Food, pastry menu is great. Drink menu is always wonderful. Service quirky and smiley in a great way. Ambience cool, cozy, funky with great music!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice decor with a down to earth feel when you first come in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lines feel long at first glance but seem to move quickly. Good options for food and coffee with a few interesting options. My food seemed to take awhile longer than the rest of my party's to get done but when it came out it was well worth the wait! Staff is friendly and inviting and the food came out great (Had the ham and cheese croissant and the Sol Bowl with their white lightning coffee. Based on my party's reaction to the food they all enjoyed it too and they all enjoyed their own coffees, mine was a vote of 2/3rds for it being good

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool coffee shop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres lots of space if you're local and want to do some work or meet up with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the Mexican mocha coffee and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. Breakfast food was okay but I'd probably stick to just coffee here if I came back again. Really friendly staff and a fun shop overall.

Visited the coffee shop twice in one week while in the area. Service even when busy is efficient and with a smile. We enjoyed the Iced Mochas very much but was not a fan of the Hot Mexican Mocha as was sweeter rather than having a kick of heat. Sandwiches both lunch a breakfast are very good. I really enjoyed the Navy special breakfast. Please remember this not a place for big choices for bagels as the usually have only 2 or 3 kinds. The ambiance is eclectic for sure with loads of skateboards on the wall.

Like the cool touches every you look.

It just so happens that my brother in law told me to stop in San Luis Obispo during my pacific coast highway roadtrip, told me it was a really cute area he thought I would love. Little did he know at the time, there is a coffee shop, the BEST coffee shop in San Luis Obispo that's called Scout coffee and Scout is the name of my brother in law's daughter AKA my niece so this was fate. Fate I tell you. I came here later in the day on Saturday right before closing, the shop is just adorable, really sweet tables outside on the street and some seating inside as well. They had some delicious looking pastries in the window and they had merch. Yes I came for the coffee, sure but I came for the Scout merch for my niece when she grows up and wants to drink coffee out of a mug and thinks it's just the coolest thing that her Aunt went to California for the sole purpose of buying her this mug, or something like that. They had mugs alright, $18 a pop. They had some t-shirts too that were PRICEY and sweatshirts that were even pricier. It was a bummer because they didn't have a lot of size options and when I asked the staff if they had more in the back they were not the friendliest bunch. Anyways, got two Scout coffee mugs and a Scout coffee travel sticker and of course a coffee. It was late so I had a decaf americano and went on my way. I came back the next morning for a regular drip coffee and the place was busy! This time, the guy helping me behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart. We made some small talk and it put a better taste in my mouth from my experience with the staff the day before. They don't use sleeves here and I LOVE THAT. I hate sleeves on coffee cups I really and truly do. They tied a napkin around instead and I've never seen that before. The coffee was delish, love the name of the shop, love the merchandise.

Friendly staff, efficient in how you order and receive your drink and yes...they are busy and it takes a tad of waiting for your order. Dog friendly patio out front.

If I lived here, this would be my GO TO spot for ALL my coffee needs. The space is thoughtfully designed with many furniture pieces from repurposed goods. It is spacious with a light, bright airy feel. All the "baristas" were so welcoming and friendly. They seemed to enjoy their job and their coworkers. They set off a very cohesive vibe. I wish I could have spent the morning just being there but had to leave for a funeral. So many things caught our eye! The baked goods were devine. The T-shirts were super soft and I would have bought one of they had our sizes. The roasted coffee beans were priced fairly. I haven't even gotten to the coffee yet! There were so many iced coffee/cold brew options it was really hard to choose. We ended up selecting the Lemon Pistachio shortbread cookie, a Ginger Molasses cookie, a seasonal scone: Honey Cinnamon, an iced Latte and an iced Vanilla Bean Latte: 1/2 sweet and a bag of Classic Espresso beans. My only sadness was I should have gotten a large latte instead of a regular. We saved the desserts for after the funeral and enjoyed the yummy coffees on our way. The Ginger Molasses cookie was perfect. Moist and chewy and not too much ginger. I should have bought more! The Lemon Pistachio cookie had a lovely balance of lemon zest and fine pieces of pistachio in the cookie and a not too tart lemon glaze and pieces of pistachio on top. It wasn't dry or super dense either. Someone making these is an experienced baker! The Honey Cinnamon scone was the best scone we have ever had. It was messy but so worth it. If you want an entire coffee experience, you have to visit Scout Coffee on Foothill Blvd in SLO. You will not stop thinking about what a beautiful experience it was after you've gone.

Every item seemed to be priced 25-50% more than I wanted to spend. Walked past Kreuzberg and initially thought it was only coffee and pastries. The whole layout is immaculate. Outdoor seating, indoor group seating and even a few private seats in the corner that give it a VIP ambiance. Hidden inside was a narrow lounge area with turntables with a bar area at the end. A DJ was set to start at 8pm. The music genre schedule varies. I will return. The burrito was top tier. Side of chips added to the filling satisfaction. It was past 7pm and the place was still hoppin' with groups on the outdoor patio, back room lounge and main area. It has more of a restaurant/club vibe than a coffee shop which gives it a special charm. When asked about their chai the friendly barista was happy to share that they don't use dry powder, they use a spicy concentrate. That's one plus!! But, it's not a house brew, it's basic Third Street Chai you buy off the shelf at the local grocer, chef supply, or natural foods store :( To their credit, they heat it up well and top it with a fancy cinnamon design on the milk foam. When asked if there is a local chai, the barista (who is a chai fan) couldn't think of any. This explains why the local reviews were so good for mediocre concentrate. While the chai quest was a miss here in SLO, Kreuzberg is still a pretty cool spot, with a fun, social vibe, friendly, helpful staff, and some tasty looking items on their menu (just not a stop for chai).

But I went back on Monday, June 8th and had a very different experience. I ordered 2 small cups of hot chai with extra foam, extra hot and 1/2 sweet. When they were done, both were "heavy" meaning they felt like there was no foam. I checked and yup...no foam. I mentioned it to the barista who said "no problem. I'll do them over". They were done quickly, but still felt "heavy". I didn't want to go back and figured "it's just me". I got into my car and tried one. It was 90% the same as before. She simply scraped a sliver of the drink off the top and added a touch of foam. Plus...the liquid was "thin" meaning she nearly scalded the drink to get it hot. The 2nd chai was the same way. And the shop wasn't even busy at the time. Everyone at the Nautical Bean is friendly and the vibe is great, but next time I'll take my own advice...even if that means going back to the barista twice to get things right.
