I wish I liked this place more. There's not a ton of great food options in the area, mostly duffer stuffers, greasy spoons and places that specialize in pizza or Gordon food services products heated up. A deli in Michigan is usually pretty reliable if not basic. Few are stellar but most are passable . I've been here a couple times over a few years and it was "ok." I came by again in search of something on the healthy side while my kitchen is torn up. I ordered a veggie sandwich this time and it just wasn't good. The bread was not great tasting and it was or a poor choice for the sandwich. I picked up half the sandwich and almost all the ingredients fell out the top. The same happened with the other half and I basically had to reassemble it and gave up on the green pepper which was the only generous ingredient on the sandwich, which I ate separately. The bread was mushy as well. I asked if the avocado could be substituted for some roasted red pepper. There definitely wasn't avocado, barely detectable red pepper which I was upcharged for. It wasn't enjoyable to eat - just a mess and didn't taste very good. I also ordered coffee - in all fairness I knew better. So I won't elaborate. I reluctantly ate the bag of Sysco chips to redeem my decision. $10.50 - As I said not a lot of choices around here and I understand it's popularity. Corned beef sandwich wasn't bad at all could have used more corned beef for sure. The bread was really good. Very thin on the meat. You have to order your food and pice it up when your buzzard go off ... why ask for a tip? I don't get these places. read more

Very nice deli with speedy service and delicious food. The potato salad was excellent. I would have liked more meat on the turkey sandwich and less bun. The cookies were delicious and the variety of brownies all tasted the same. Definitely could taste canned frosting, not homemade! Parking can be hard to find during the busy lunch hours. read more

Great place! Outdoor seating, spacious interior! It's cafeteria style, so you order and pickup. They have a large menu and lots of vegetarian options that can be modified. Everything was very fresh which we appreciated. I did the Veggie Reubens minus cheese and dressing plus tofu and it was divine. We'll definitely be back. read more

Went in for the first time today. The signage of where to order was confusing. Instead of hollering at everyone, it would be helpful to have a sign that says order here instead of people not knowing where to go when all the signs only say pay here. Was excited to try the food except when we got home the sandwiches were not what we ordered, so that was a disappointment. My fault for not checking before we left but was not impressed with what we got. I'll try them again and see if they get my order right next time and update my review. Pickles were good :) read more

Like any good deli sandwich this one comes with a pickle and potato chips. I got the Georgia Corned Beef which is basically a reuben with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. The coleslaw was refreshing on this hot day. The sandwich had an ample amount of 1000 island which let it soak into the bread... 10/10 would recommend. Bread, chips, and pickle weren't anything special. Would definitely come back! P.S. I usually like pastrami, but none here. The corned beef was good enough though! read more

Nautical Deli is one of my favorite lunch spots. It's very clean, not too long of a wait, and a great variety to choose from. My favorite is the Eggplant Portobella sandwiches which i order every time. So tasty! Breaded eggplant, portabella mushroom, roasted red pepper, red onion, and fresh mozzarella on grilled panini. I've got a rather large appetite & this sandwich is a very generous portion. I always leave happy. Their soups are so yummy & so many to choose from. I usually stick with my usuals....lobster bisque, tomato basil, or corn chowder. The only bad thing i have to comment on, is that they are closed on Monday's. Saint Clair Shores is a city that lacks in delis that sell a wide variety of sandwiches and soups at affordable prices. Most of the establishments we can visit locally are party and grocery stores that have premade imported sandwiches on their shelves. I saw that Nautical Deli was listed consistently at 5 stars and was within 2 miles of my house so I had to check out all the hype. I think the best way I can describe Nautical is if you have been to many delis who offer similar sandwiches you're going to think Nautical is mediocre. They have a nice menu, some rotating soups, and friendly service. I just didn't think the sandwich I had (Guido) had anything that really set itself apart. Needless to say, I feel this place is superior to some of the crappy dive restaurants/party stores/grocery stores when you're looking for a sandwich if you're in the area but it's definitely not worth driving across town to try out. read more
