I am absolutely obsessed with this place! From the moment we walked in (my boyfriend and I) until the moment we left, everyone here made us feel like actual celebrities with VIP treatment but you can tell they do this for absolutely everyone of their customers. Robinson and Christie greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and immediately made us feel welcomed and at home. Everyone was so sweet and so incredibly caring in making us feel comfortable and making sure we were okay at every second. I know going to a dentist can sometimes be scary and extremely uncomfortable but if you are worried about those two things, as I initially was, just know you will be in AMAZING hands here. Everyone genuinely cares about you and you can feel it. Everyone has an awesome personality and you can tell they all love what they do. My dental hygienist, Sydney, (pictured above) took the time to explain all types of things to me so I would better understand how to truly take care of my teeth and also told me some pretty awesome stories to keep my mind off of what was happening. They also made sure to give me a neck pillow and blanket as I was cold and nervous which made me feel so comfortable and homey. I literally felt l like I was visiting my family and I truly mean that. Also, if you get anxious or panicky like I do when anything is involving dental work, they have this really cool machine which I am blanking on the name, but it really helps you calm down and not been as worried about what is going on in your mouth. The dentist I saw was also really great and gentle and took the time to see what was going on with me. You could tell he really cared and wanted to make sure I was okay. Not once did I ever feel like they only saw me as a dollar sign (which I have felt at other dentist places before) and they saw me as a human being in which they really wanted the best for. Lastly, the reason I picked this place to begin with, is because the owners of this place also take place in doing charity dentistry for others in developing countries. I only want to spend my money at places in which my money could also help others so this was a huge one for me. Everything else was just icing on the cake!! I cannot believe I have never experienced this type of dentist office before and now that I have had a taste of the good life, I could never go anywhere else! This was the BEST experience I have EVER had with a dentist's office. From the reception, to the dentist, to the financial coordination, the ENTIRE STAFF is blessed. The dentist sat next to me explained everything in detail, he took time with me and my procedure and I was cared for that same day. I had calls after I left to check on my condition post procedure. All medications that I needed were filled and picked up PRIOR to me leaving the office. I have never experienced a team so wonder careful. The design in the office is peaceful and really takes away the stress and worry associated with a dentist office visit. My husband had a crown come off and I called a number of dentist's offices and Nautical was able to get us in within a few hours. From the moment we walked in, the office staff was wonderful and the Dr. Cornelius was awesome and was very easy to talk with and has a great personality. He explained everything in easy to understand terms and was so pleasant. It's not often that dentists are personal and easy to talk to so we were pleasantly surprised with his professionalism but easy going attitude. At 79, I've seen a few dentists in my life....but NEVER like this one! The office is spotless and very modern. The work they did on me in my in two visits, so far, was truly AMAZING. This is the office that has the funny billboard phrases on 281 & Thousand Oaks. They make me chuckle each time I drive by. The doc is a Veteran which makes me happy to support people like him making a 2nd career after serving our country. He fixed a front tooth that had a natural crack that kept annoyingly getting food stuck in it. Now it blends perfectly with my other front tooth. For years I have had serious anxiety any time I would go to the dentist, to the point I didn?t even go unless I had a serious dental issue. A representative from Nautical showed up & offered us free whitening trays on our first cleaning. I went just for the free whitening trays and didn?t think I?d ever go back. They did such an amazing job and I had absolutely no anxiety while I was there. I now go back every 6 months to get my teeth cleaned and they will work with anyone for payment plans. No pain at all (even when poked with a needle), I dozed off once or twice while they were working on me. Wow! I never thought I would say I had fun at the dentist, but Nautical Dentistry has done just that. As soon as you walk into the office you feel welcomed. I had a later appointment too, so this is usually when people are ready to call it quits for the day and don't have the patience or energy to be attentive. Not the case at Nautical! I didn't feel like a patient there, I felt more like an old friend. Having that feeling definitely helps with trust in your hygienists. They were super knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I would understand and not feel like an ignoramus. As someone who greatly dislikes the dentist, and hadn't been in for a cleaning in over two years, I was incredibly pleased with Nautical Dental. From the second I called to make an appointment, the staff was nothing but kind. If you need more advanced work such as implants or other surgical type of work, I definitely would NOT recommend going to this office. I got implants from here. The way the prosthetic was placed was done in such a way that cleaning of the implants could not occur and big chunks of cement were left under the gums creating pockets. Then half of it came loose. In effort to save my implants I went to various specialists and they needed my records, info on the implants and other technical info, never got it. Then starting 4 or 5 months ago things were getting worse I tried getting this info from this office and tried to get the dentist to call the current dentist with no luck and absolutely no help and no call from the dentist. The situation was getting worse with the threat of losing some implants. After a massive infection around an implant I tried yet again and so did the dental office, no records were sent. I am now going to lose 2 implants and the whole prosthetic. I had an appointment today and had to reschedule because I still DON"T HAVE MY RECORDS! I am still getting the brush off and now basically being told that I am wrong and that they have provided me with everything I have requested??? What?? I am starting to wonder if he really is allowed to do implants or what. I wouldn't even give it a star but you have to. read more
