We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

Well I was absolutely delighted with our choice for lunch out today…read more Missy was our server and was just wonderful.. a seasoned server for sure. I wasn't starving so I ordered an app. I saw the a great looking plate on someone's table behind us and asked what they were eating.. they said the tuna tartar and that it was really delicious.. that's all I needed to hear. He ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The food came quickly. My tartar was crazy delish. I couldn't wait to write this review for them. His burger was very good. All in all we had a great time. I had chance to speak with one of the managers who had told me the restaurant has gone through many changes.. like a new head chef. Hats off to him and the restaurant in general!

Casual restaurant located on the water in Scituate, MA. My family and I were given the choice of…read moresitting inside or outside. We chose outside and were seated immediately for dinner outside on the first floor. The view on the water was absolutely gorgeous. Service was somewhat slow. They brought us waters immediately, but then it took a while to take our actual order. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and I ordered the jumbo shrimp for my entree. We got the nachos about 25 minutes after ordering and then 3 minutes later, our dinner came out. It wasn't ideal timing and the server did apologize for everything coming almost all at once. However, the nachos were VERY good. I highly recommend ordering for an appetizer. The jumbo shrimp with fries wasn't bad, but I thought $30 for that basic meal was outrageous pricing. Sitting outside was nice at first with the breeze, but then the staff decided to put down the plastic window cover. I'm not sure if they did it to block the sun, but it enhanced the sun and made it feel like a sauna. We were sweating while eating so it wasn't the most enjoyable experience. There is a parking lot outside the restaurant, but it is very busy in the evening. We ended up parking in a nearby free lot and walking over.
