I went in this last time for a pedicure and gel polish and during the pedicure the tech trimmed off a vertical strip off the side of my nail plate on both big toes saying I had ingrown nails. Prior to this, I've never had an issue with ingrown nails. Now that my nails are grown out I'm having issues with pain and swelling. Also the polish they use here chips and peels off very easily.

Bali has been located in that same spot in the plaza off Van Dyke and Dale Mabry since I worked at the Super Cuts next door while in high school in 2001-2002. I went for a pedicure this past Tuesday and was modestly talked into a manicure as well. I decided on gel since I only go to a salon for my nails once a year. It was a treat myself kind of day. And treat myself, I did. I enjoyed a serene spa pedicure with polish of a sparkly purple color by OPI called "Feel the Chemis-tree!" Two days later, during Thanksgiving meal prep, part of my right thumb's nailpolish lifted (vegetable peeling) and I panicked. As soon as I returned to the salon on Black Friday, they quickly fixed the nail and sent me on my happy way. Every nail tech that has ever attended me has always applied the same exact standard of care when servicing me. It's as if they go through a very formal, high level of training.
