This restaurant is located in a shopping complex. You can easily identify the NOLA colors from the street. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The owner took our order and she was very sweet. We ordered the burger po boy. It was delicious and flavorful. The desserts are where they shine. The bayou brownie...wow!!! My mouth is still watering thinking about it. The turtle cheesecake was so good. I was expecting it to be too sweet because it is drenched in caramel, but it was perfect. I highly recommend this place! Please support this restaurant owner, I can tell she works hard and her food speaks for itself. Note: This is not a fast food service. Expect 20-30 minutes for your food.

Ep. 92 of AntlantaEats This restaurant opened in May 2018. As soon as I walked in I smelled heavenly delicious food, that set a positive tone. Ordered my 1st "Roast Beef Po' Boy" I didn't even know that existed (Bonus). Roast Beef was done well filled w/ gravy on top, great texture bites. Inside had pickles, Tom's, lettuce, mayo. You gotta try the Sour Apple Margarita Snoball (they have many flavor options) ! I tore that thang up! The Praline Cheesecake was delicious! New Orleans is on the Map in the A ! I first had something to eat from them through Grubhub I think it was. I ordered their gumbo and some praline caramel cheesecake. Now the gumbo was good, but me with my certain taste had to update it to my liking. Don't get me wrong, it was good!! However I'm used to having a slightly thicker roux and okra in mine. So the chef in me made a little more roux and threw some okra in it and it was perfect for me. I ordered two of the gumbos with the rice on the side. Theres nothing like ordering gumbo with the rice already in it then you go to eat it there's no juice at all. All you have is mush at that point. So never order gumbo with rice already in it. Some of these places cook gumbo with the rice already in it while cooking it. Steer clear of those, that's not real gumbo. I'm originally from Lake Charles La, so I have some insight on gumbo, cajun gumbo. The praline caramel cheesecake, "OH MY GOD!!" was so delicious!! Now if you're a diabetic, you'll have to have will power to stay away from that very sweet treat as well as their pralines. It's soooo gooood!! I was on a mission today to go to this place to find out where they were located. You walk into this store and oh my. You smell the entire Cajun country coming from this place and it's so delightful. I did manage to take a few pictures for all of you of the establishment and their sweet treats. The food is really banging over there. Today I ordered a po boy cajun burger with a red beans and rice for the side. I only ordered half of the po boy since I also have the red beans and rice which is a meal on its own. We really need more Cajun places around our area that has authentic cajun food. If you're in the area, go check them out.

This is a wonderful place. I find myself coming here often as they have the best muffeleta that I've tasted! Service is always good and I have been here many times, no complaints ever Try it out!

Now, it's still growing with love by two brothers born and raised in Bulldog Nation, honoring their parents. Five Points location opened in 2014. I've been here few times and I can tell you with 100% certainty that their quality is always better with each visit. The friendly and helpful staff are top notch. They are always knowledgeable and ready to assist you in rich and chocolaty varieties. ROASTERY: The space is small and cozy. When you enter, you're welcomed by sweet aroma. You can come in, enjoy the atmosphere, sip on your specialty drink and watch the process of chocolate making. Besides many confections offered here, you can also try their great variety of coffee drinks. Many of their products ingredients are sourced from Ecuador. CHOCO COFFEE: Their blend of "Choco Coffee," isn't named after chocolate coffee. Instead, it's named after Ecuadorian, Choco Toucan bird. I bought, "Comunidad Blend," to brew at home. I've already brewed couple of cups and OMG!!! It offers notes of Dark Chocolate, Pecans, Pink Grapefruit and Guava. As I've been sipping on it, its whole beans are washed, well balanced, offer rich and bold flavors. You can taste the home roots. PARKING: It can be tricky to get in here. It's located off busy, S. I noticed the beautifully crafted truffles displayed in the glass case. They all looked so good! I asked the sweet gal for a variety of 8 pieces. I also got a salted caramel brownie as well. My truffles got boxed up with a cute white bow. My brownie was getting warmed up while the gal was helping another guest. I checked out the other items for sale while I was waiting for my brownie. I love all the Georgia Bulldog themed chocolates. There was also a different variety of chocolate bars available. I noticed they also sold espresso and coffee drinks at the shop. I wish I would have known about the coffee! I would have rather grabbed coffee from this joint and not from Starbucks. It will be something I'll have to try next time. My brownie was so good! The love the flakes of salt on the brownie. The sweet and salty combo is always a winner. It was heated up just right! There were caramel ribbons were in every bite. It's very decadent! Make sure you have a big glass of cold milk. You'll need it for this brownie! This was a neat little chocolate joint I got to check out. They have some really good sweets that you must try! The employee was sitting down behind the counter just ignoring everyone who came in so quite literally the store was not being monitored and a few other customers mentioned how it would be easy to take. I wanted some gummies and went over to their selection but you can tell it is not maintained. Lots of stale gummies and or empty bins. It was rather disappointing. Once I was ready I was at the counter for about 12 minutes and I kept looking at the employee to see if they would come over. Eventually I said excuse me and he got up very annoyed. Didn't even greet me, tons of attitude and mumbled my total so low I couldn't hear it and had to rely on the screen for my price. I said thank you and he just ignored me and went back to his seat to completely ignore the other customers. It is pretty unfortunate that this location has such awful service.

Lolli and Pops, a store that markets itself as a whimsical haven for candy lovers, has proven to be…read moreanything but sweet when it comes to basic customer service and inclusivity. My recent experience on a Sunday evening (5:22 PM, to be exact) was not just disappointing--it was a glaring example of systemic indifference and selective engagement that has no place in retail, let alone a family-friendly establishment. From the moment my excited little one walked in--freeing herself from her stroller with the innocent enthusiasm only a child can muster--to the moment she proudly selected her lollipop and approached the counter, not a single employee could muster a "Hello," "How are you?" or even a perfunctory "Did you find everything okay?" Instead, the interaction was reduced to a robotic price quote, dead silence, then back to their conversation. No warmth, no acknowledgment, no effort. If the staff's exhaustion at the end of a weekend shift was the issue, then management needs to reevaluate scheduling or hire employees who understand that customer service is the bare minimum in retail. What makes this experience even more egregious is that this wasn't an isolated incident. On multiple occasions, I've noticed a pattern--certain customers are greeted warmly, while others (particularly those who look like me) are met with cold indifference. A simple "Hello" should not be a privilege; it should be standard. If your staff lacks the emotional intelligence to treat all patrons with equal respect, then your establishment has failed at its most fundamental duty. The most heartbreaking part? Watching my little one's bright-eyed anticipation wither into confusion when her simple joy was met with blank stares. Children remember these moments. They internalize them. And while she may not fully grasp the nuances of poor service or discrimination, I do--and I refuse to spend my money in a place that allows such energy to thrive. In 2025, consumers have endless options--and even more platforms to voice their dissatisfaction. If your employees lack the personality (or basic decency) to engage with customers, they have no business working in retail. And if management turns a blind eye to discriminatory behavior, then they don't deserve patronage. To Lolli and Pops at Perimeter Mall: You've lost not just my future business, but the business of my network as well. My coins--and those of my vendors--will be spent elsewhere, with establishments that understand respect, inclusivity, and the bare minimum of hospitality. To Potential Customers: Spend wisely. Your money and your energy should go to businesses that value you--regardless of what you look like or what time you walk in. "A candy store that leaves a bitter taste."
