For around $10, you're getting a burrito that's practically the size of your face and packed with flavor. The carne asada is the star of the show. It has an amazing char, is perfectly seasoned and tastes fresh every single time. The atmosphere is great too. Good music, friendly staff, and a hardworking crew that always seems to have a smile on their faces. They have a self serve toppings bar with plenty of options, and while some people may be hesitant about that at a taco stand, everything is always clean and well maintained. I've eaten here many times and have never had an issue. The sauces are absolutely fire. The guacamole sauce, spicy green salsa and red hot sauce all bring something different to the table. Nothing tastes old or like it's been sitting around. Everything tastes fresh and is made with care. This has become our go to spot. They have real Al Pastor on the trompo (the spit) so of course I ordered pastor tacos and a pastor mulita. I also ordered a few SUADERO tacos which you don't find just anywhere. I am still raving about the amount of meat and flavor of the food here, it's insanely delicious. Once you get your food you make your way down to the end of the taco stand where you are met with an amazing array of fresh taco fixings and salsas. The pink creamy-habanero was the best and the green/red salsas followed right behind. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's a small shop, very limited indoor and outdoor seating. There was a line even at 2pm. I was chatting with my fellow line mates and most of them have been coming here for years. They said the cheap prices, consistent quality, and familiarity keep them coming back. After trying their chile relleno and green salsa burritos i can agree. Simple food, simple recipes. I felt like i was eating my grandma's food. It tasted like the food I grew up on. Don't be shy, ask to share a table with someone when there are no seats. The patrons are friendly. I can't wait to go back. Tip: don't come here expecting to be in and out. They have a sign that says it perfectly "We don't make fast food. We make quality food as fast as we can".

Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. There is potentially a bit of a wait due to every meal being freshly made on order, but it is a good and worthwhile wait, the staff, clientele, and food being most hospitable. At your order, purple dough is flattened to a blue corn tortilla, each tortilla freshly pressed and grilled in front of you. You watch it sizzle and rise brown, flip over, and continue its cycle to grow crisp. Topping highlights for me include squash blossoms and pork, which is chicharrones with a surprising crisp and crunch better than almost any other I've had, the ring of each bite echoing autumn leaves crunching under my feet, its condensed jerky flavour hemorrhaging in the still present sweetness of a meat once juicy. The stand provides a salsa bar with red and green sauces available, and other vegatative essentials- onion, cilantro, and pepper- serve as a lush and fresh forestry for the surprisingly substantial spice of the salsa to lick upon; piled upon the mountain of food and flavour, the green and red splatters evoked the Hollywood Hills, the red salsa smokey and particularly burning like the fires of last year.
