    Garlic Naan, Bartha

Let me start by saying first and foremost because service is so important to my experiences. Rasika was exceptional as our waitress for the night and made some seriously great recommendations for my partner and me. The food was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, perfect spice/heat, and some of the best Indian food I have had in a very long time, maybe even best ever. It was an overall exceptional experience that included a warm ambiance and certainly a warm invitation on a day of rain and drizzle. As an appetizer, we started our dining experience with the very delicious RajWadi Samosa which are two light and tasty pastries filled with season potatoes and peas. Next, we ordered three dishes (because I mean one, or even two, just isn't enough). We ordered, and I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, a dish that includes barbecued chicken cooked and simmered with Mughlai sauce, London style, the Butter Chicken a dish that includes grilled chicken and a honey based creamy tomato sauce, and and for the third dish, I recommend the Baingan Bharta which is fire roasted mashed eggplant with some of the most delicious Indian spices (my very favorite dish and pairs so well with everything) and last, we ordered 2 orders of the garlic Naan, which might I add, is just EXCEPTIONAL. As stated above Rasika was just a superb waitress. She made sure we had a great area to sit and dine, she made sure we never went without drinks, and my wine recommendation was just beautifully paired with the meal, and she got the food to the table quickly and it was so hot and right on time. I would recommend this dining experience to anyone, and if you do go, tell Rasika hello for me. Truly, she is just a gem!

Nice place. We were in the area and decided to try it. Not too many people at this restaurant but it was clean.. We were sat right away and the wait was patient enough to explain some dishes we weren't familiar with.. We went with mild but it was still a bit spicy for us but it was tasty.. The only thing is there was a party room towards the back of the restaurant and we were sitting back there, so it was pretty loud with the door open. Other than that it was a great experience.

There are a lot of Indian restaurants in the area that serve a variety of different style indian food but not many that serve northern India style food. Zayka is one of the few that serves mouth watering authentic northern india style food. I don't think I've had anything here that I didn't like and this time wasn't different. Here is what we got: 1) Amritsari Meat ki seekh: I've had seekh kabab at so many restaurants in the area but this was the best one so far. The seekh kabab was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. 2) Chef Special Chicken Kushk: We wanted to get something different than the standard butter chicken or chicken tikka masala. This Chef special did not disappoint. 3) Rajasthani Laal Maas: I always get a goat dish whenever I go to an Indian restaurant and this Rajasthani style goat hit the spot. It was full of flavor and the goat was very tender. Definitely recommend it. 4) Chur Chur Lacha Pratha: I rarely see this on the bread menu so I knew I had to get it. The pratha was cooked perfectly and was a perfect paring with the entrees. 5) Italian Baked Gulab Jamun Cheesecake: This was definitely a unique dessert. Perfect for someone who loves cheesecake and wants an indian twist to it. 6) Chicken Hakka Noodles: Classic Indo-Chinese dish. Can never go wrong with it. 7) Chocolate Martini: If you would rather drink your dessert then this is the perfect option. This chocolate Martini was very rich and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend Zayka to anyone looking for some authentic Indian food.

Weekend Buffet for those wanting a lighter touch on spice. We came in on Saturday during a Holiday weekend, and were seated fairly quickly with a nice iced glass of water to quench some of the summer heat. The decor was tastefully done, modern, and the seating was stylish as well. The buffet line was interestingly hidden behind a wall, so you don't get an easy view of what was available. While not the longest line, it did have a variety from lentils, paneer, chicken, goat, and a few desserts. The restaurant is North Indian, so the flavor profile is muted compare to their southern cousins. I do prefer a spicier and brighter flavor profile of the south, but if you're thinking about being folks who aren't used to it, this would be a good place to take them. The chicken was tender, and they did a good job on either sifting out the whole spices, or blending so it wasn't annoying to eat around them. The muttar paneer was a little hard, not my favorite texture for peas. The tandoori chicken could also use some more char. Overall, a good weekend choice if you live in Briar Creek and want a variety of food to eat.

We were at a wedding where they were the main caterer. The paneer was missing something. The papad paneer was dry. The bhindi was very good and spicy. I know there is a trend for the Indochinese food these days but I am not a fan. Chili paneer was not spicy and somewhat bland based on what you were expecting. The spring rolls were ok. The Manchurian was ok. Everything was ok but something was missing seemingly from every dish. Hakka noodles were decent. The butter chicken and malai kofta also were tolerable but really it's like every dish was missing something and not as spicy as it should be. I'm definitely not a super spicy eater but with Indian food you need the strong flavors. The gulab jamun was unusual inside of cheesecake. I know it was an attempt to be creative but didn't really work. Hopefully the food in the restaurant is better than the catering.

!Tuesday evening, started out slowly around 7:00, but began to fill up quite quickly. Very tasty food, interesting drinks list (see photo), service and ambience we're both good. My wife had a small plate, the Amritsari fish, and we shared samosas, I had a chicken vindaloo. Everything very much to our liking. Various breads and pickles and a shared rice pudding to finish. The martini I had was called "Meet your Martini", and it was surprising, spicy, flavorful and lasted me the whole meal. Quite a kicker! Nice place; we'll definitely come back and check out some other items on the menu. Something to look forward to.

It's cozy and warm at first glance. I opted in for the lunch buffet. Simple, chicken (variety of options), dhal, rice, vegetarian options. Loved the naan! Price was not bad for the sides given.

Came here with my spouse as we live close and we really enjoyed it! We started with two appetizers, the Gobhi Manchurian and the Samosa puffs on the bed of chickpeas. Both were good but we both agreed the Samosa/chickpea dish was the best. The flavors were super unique and we just really enjoyed it. I got the chicken tiki masala and my spouse got the butter chicken. We also sampled the butter naan, garlic naan, and chili garlic naan. Both entrees were good. I usually like butter chicken better but in this case I preferred tiki. I will say the protein serving size was a little disappointing, esp compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. But the flavors were great. The chili naan was SUPER SUPER spicy, so much so that neither of us could eat it unfortunately l. The other two were good! We also had some drinks. I ordered the mango martini and unfortunately was very disappointed. It tasted like a thick, thick mango purée mixed with sugar was put in a cocktail glass and that was it. I expected it to be more of a martini with a light mango purée. My spouse got a dirty martini, which was okay, but not great. Overall, loved the flavors in the apps and entrees. The ambiance was also really nice and clean looking. I'd probably skip out on drinks and definitely no to the chili naan.

This is a solid choice for Indian food in the area. The restaurant is meticulously clean which I appreciate. The service is good as well.

I really loved their buffet as it had so many options! I got to try all the things I was curious about but wouldn't order a full serving of. Also, having bottomless Naan is such a bonus. I prefer Naan over rice with Indian food, so I was in heaven! The Chicken Vindaloo was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. The spice level of the Vindaloo curry was just to my liking. I didn't think the Dal Makhani was spicy enough, but that is expected at a buffet. The Baba Ghanoush was fresh and worked as a palate cleanser. I tried Saag Paneer (cheese cooked in creamy spinach sauce) for the first time and I really liked it! I then filled up on my favorites: Chicken Vindaloo and Naan. I tried one bite of 3 different deserts after that, and they were all unique and pretty sweet. I think the Rice Pudding was my favorite flavor but the Vanilla Rice Pudding was my favorite texture. We came hungry and left satisfied (or stuffed). I can't wait to come back and try more new things!

Since I am pure vegetarian. I appreciated seeing no, meat and other non-vegetarian items in the menu. We ordered Bada with Sambhar and Rava Dosa along with a Mysore masala Dosa. Sambhar was extremely yummy and right combination of spices and not too spicy. Additionally, the tomato Chutney and the Coconut Chutney was very very fresh and yummy. Everything went well together. I also like that the potato filling was served on the side and not inside my Dosa, so I could control the quantity I would consume. We closed our lunch with a cup of tea. It was little strong and over boiled for my taste, but I liked the warmth of it. Overall, this is a good place to hang out with your friends or kids, and there is something for everyone on the menu. Anddddd, the best dosa in the Triangle goes to..... BLR Bar in Morrisville!…read more A few months back, I had planned a group dinner with a bunch of friends and one person recommended BLR Bar. I love Indian so I said "sure, why not!" A group of 8 of us went and as we all scoured the menu, it occurred to us that this place was vegetarian only. My initial thought (and I'm sure other peoples also) was.. "oh snap.... Did I make a mistake?" Honestly, it's been a long time that I've been to a non-meat establishment and had I known in advance, I probably would have passed this restaurant up, but since I was already there, I, along with everyone else, went with it. We were all seated, drinks had been poured, everyone was committed to their chairs. There was no backing out. From looking at the menu, it seemed like Dosas were popular so being that it was supposed to be a South Indian restaurant, I decided to get it. My friends got the gobi, one spicy and one non spicy. Guys, the spicy was incredibleee. Loved it so much. It was crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside and had a punch to it. But I will say, the non-spicy was just okay, it just didn't deliver that kick to it. When the dosa came, I was in love. It was a beautifully done dosa, with the perfect curl and texture. Paired with the sides, it was delicious. Fast forward six months later, I went to BLR Bar again, but slightly fearful that I wouldn't enjoy it as much the second time around. My fears were put to rest because it was just as delicious as the first time. If you're looking for authentic southern Indian Dosas, look no further. Pay BLR Bar & Curry a visit ASAP!
