    Chicken butter masala
    Lexi G.

Had such a great anniversary dinner here!!! We ordered the chicken butter masala and the lamb butter masala- both on medium spice- and it was delicious. It wasn't too painfully spicey, so if you are an Indian food lover who enjoys a kick, get the level 3! We might try that next time. The garlic naan was mouthwateringly good.

We were in the area and came in for a late dinner. I'm not sure that the staff was happy that we came in late. It was about 2 hours before they closed and it was obvious they wanted to leave. When we arrived, alot of the tables had Not been cleaned. Our waiter did come over and take our drink order but it took them a while to come back with them. Finally got our drinks and ordered our food. I ordered the lamb Rogan Josh and it was pretty good. Good flavor and a decent amount of lamb. I had heard really good things about this location and love Indian cuisine. Overall the experience was ok but quite frankly it had a lot to do with the servers. I may not return.

I freaking love this place!!! I finally got to take my husband here and we both were in love with every bite:) being a vegetarian is hard to find good restaurants in the triangle. Unfortunately we didn't get my favorite restaurant waiter but hahah no worries He ended up being our food runner so I still got to see him ;) thank you again for a beautiful meal!

I ate here last night. I shared their President Platter with my son and it was a lot of food! I enjoyed most of the items with the shrimp and lamb shank being my favorite. My daughter in law got the chicken Tikki Masala. She really liked it. Their naan was delicious. It was the perfect consistency of being soft, chewy, with slightly crisp spots. I would return here to try more of their dishes.

A really solid choice for Indian food in Cary. I went here in the late afternoon, so it was really quiet but it's probably a nice, vibe at night when there are more people. I had butter chicken and naan. I thought the naan was a little over-priced for one serving, but the quality was good.

I went to this Indian restaurant for dinner and the food was amazing and authentic. I ordered the mushroom butter masala and it was delicious. The restaurant felt cozy. The food was traditional and fresh. I loved this place and I look forward to returning for Indian food. I moved new to the area and I am grateful to have visited and learned about this place for my Indian cuisine!

We came here on Saturday hoping to have lunch but was told Fri-Sun is dinner menu only :( Very disappointed since I was not able to see that information on their website! Ended up ordering off of their dinner menu. Food was really delicious-ingredients are fresh, everything had the proper texture, 10/10. I loved the lamb pepper fry (appetizer), it was pricey but the portion was pretty big. Service people were friendly and efficient. Place is clean and spacious. Will come back to try the lunch menu!

If you want excellent service in a beautifully decorated setting, Saffron definitely fits that bill. They were also very accommodating to spice levels since one in my party isn't able to tolerate too much heat. I was honestly just a little disappointed by the food. Two of my favorites are baingan bartha & saag paneer. While the taste and spices were fine, the dishes were overly salted. I couldn't taste the subtle tastes of the greens or the eggplant...the salt overpowered it Chicken biryani while very tasty it was also on the saltier side. Highly recommend the Amritsari kulcha which was stuffed with a deliciously spiced potato mixture. Maybe it was an anomaly with the salt & is definitely worth a second try.

As a fan of Indian food, I've often had mixed reviews for my options in the Triangle but have always enjoyed the food that Chef Gamer cooks up! Saffron is his newest restaurant after running Amber out in Morrisville and its location in the old Ginger space off Kildaire Farms Road works great for me. Saffron has a slightly upscale but comfortable feel, decked out in beiges and deep brown, offering a more traditional dining room experience. The menu at Saffron is broad and features a lot of different items that I haven't seen elsewhere, Chef Gamer spins up classic Indian cuisine with a modern twist. We tried their paneer 65 (excellent) a crispy kale palak chaat (fried kale with a creamy sauce) along with chicken korma and garlic naan, delish! Dining here you just can tell extra effort is made to use higher quality, fresher ingredients and it show up whenever you take a bite. Service here is very good and suits the menu, prices and dining room. Overall I'm really happy to have Saffron and Chef Gamer's food closer to my home and will be back soon to try more off of the menu...

Lots of inspiring quotes around the dining area.

Hands down some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted!!! The restaurant ambience is super chill and very clean. The service prompt, friendly, polite, knowledgeable and relaxed. Very easy ordering experience and the food was made fresh and delicious! Chicken Tikka Kabob Platter was totally 5 stars. Very filling and not expensive.

I didn't realize when I first searched nearby and found this location, but it has multiple cuisine spot. I remember thinking as I was driving over that 'man I wish she liked Indian food' because I hadn't had any in some time. Much to my delight when we got here, I discovered not only were their Thai and Chinese inspired stuff, there was a nice large selection of Indian options. She got some chicken lo main, and I got palak paneer. She got some spring rolls, and I got my favorite Samosas. I introduced her to the papadum and chutneys that were given before the meal and she was a trooper and tried them all. Food arrived, was hot, fresh, and delicious. With the samosas it was too much for me to finish my palak paneer and I'm eating it now as I type this up for lunch on Sunday. Lo mein was well liked, she doesn't have a spice tolerance though and a 3 was a bit much for her. she said the spring rolls were great, and had finished off the lomein she brought home by Saturday night. Really great place you should check it out, they do delivery and stuff, but it was great to go in somewhere in person and enjoy a meal. Not a giant seating area but plenty of room to come in sit down and enjoy stuff.

It's a tiny restaurant nestled in a strip mall that has tables for dining in, although while we were there a steady stream of customers arrived to pick up their take out orders. A small basket of papadum was served with mint chutney, tamarind, and pickled onions. This was a nice touch and something that seems less and less common these days. Spinach is my favorite vegetable so saag with chicken was an easy choice. I ordered it 9 out of 10 on the spicy scale, so it while it had definitely had heat it was manageable and not punishing. It was very good and I would order it again. My dining companion ordered the Tikka Masala with lamb and not spicy. She thought it was good, but the chunks of lamb were very tough and chewy. The breads were a bit of a disappointment. My roti seemed more like naan and lacked the flakiness of traditional roti. The Peshwari naan definitely had a sweet taste, but was missing the bits of dried fruit and nut that makes it so distinctive. We both thought Basil n Spice was a 4-star restaurant, but the tough lamb and sub par breads bring it down to a borderline 3-star rating. That said, we both thought the restaurant has potential so we're going to give it another try so we can sample the Thai and Chinese dishes.

Got here first thing at 11:30 and were immediately let in and led to our table. Our server told us to give them ten minutes to have the full buffet up. We patiently waited, and it was WORTH the wait. Everything you see on my plate was delicious, flavorful, and a tad spicy. To be expected though. They get great reviews for a reason.

I set that aside and tried to avoid the moisture on the napkin my silverware was wrapped in. When I went to get food, most of it was covered which I guess is good, but to get to the food, it was awkward balancing the covers or having to place them on another covered tray to be able to serve myself. When I compare the food and environment here to other places that offer Indian cuisine buffets, for the $20 with tax I'd rather go to Kabab and Curry not too far from here on Hillsborough St. There is more food available, it is fresher, the environment overall seems more hygienic and well-organized, and the food has better flavor and seems less greasy at Kabab and Curry. The only difference is having to pay for parking or parking a bit further away for a free spot--but for what you pay at Curry Club and they only offer buffet over the weekend, Kabab and Curry is better and offers more value and is where I will probably go from now on. The only way Curry Club's buffet would make sense is if they brought the price down. I'd put their food quality about on par with China Queen's weekday Chinese buffet, but China Queen has the better sense to charge less for the quality and experience they offer their customers. If you're already in the plaza and it's convenient to drop in over the weekend, give Curry Club a try, but if you can make it a little further north, Kabab and Curry is the better place. It is worth noting that Curry Club has interesting theme days and specials that may offer more value and culinary enjoyment than what I was able to experience while I was there including weekend breakfast combos, and weeknight dosa, biryani, and rice deals. They also have momos and spring rolls that look delicious (though I can't vouch yet). They stock authentic items like frozen Shahi Kulfi (not included in the buffet), and beverages like Delhi Darling, Thumsup, and Limca. If I go back, it'll be to sample dosas at Dosa Night or see what I think about the momos and spring rolls. I'll update when and if I find out and get to sample more.
