Grabbed dinner from Naan House recently and thought it was very good! I ordered our food to-go and I found it a little frustrating that the host completely ignored me for a minute when I walked in because he was on the phone with someone. I'm not asking for much, but a simple friendly head nod or wave goes a long way in that kind of situation. Anyway, I brought the food back to my family and friends and we dug in. I enjoyed the butter chicken - the quality of the chicken was quite high and the sauce was tasty as well. My wife's lamb saag was delicious (the lamb was so moist!) and the garlic naan was tasty as well, although I prefer it a little crispier. My first time here? So I cannot speak to consistency- which matters to me a lot. That's said- I left thinking "where has this place been all my life?". Stopped in for lunch and it was a real treat. I get so tired of eating places where the food has less flavor than cardboard. They offer low, medium and hot on the spice level- which I thought to be considerate for this country boy- maybe they saw me coming...not sure :). I had the lentil soup and a chicken kabob dish with rice and cilantro. The flavors jumped off the plate- definitely making a wonderful impression. The chicken had a light yogurt crust- interesting and quite good! Even my unsweetened tea was the right flavor and density to ensure it offset the spicy food perfectly. The restaurant is a little too modern and Spartan, they could use more hints of India in the decor. However, my server was very friendly and informative, and my orders came out as quick as possible. My appetizer a Chole was delicious and really good size for the price. If I had known how much food I was getting with the Thali I probably wouldn't have got this appetizer. The lunch special Thali was also delicious and some parts of it a bit spicy even for me. Luckily it comes with a yogurty lassi to help with the heat. Good flavors and worth a try. Not gonna try based on the first item on their online ordering menu. They won't say what their samosa is made of or what's in the filling. It's either wheat flour or maida for the samosa, and "generally of mashed boiled potato" for the filling. I was picking up dinner and the person behind the desk set everything up and asked me to scan using my Apple Pay. The amount seemed to be too high for my order, and when I checked the details the person at the register had put in for a 20% tip on a pickup order. I came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. I ordered the vegetable thali lunch special for $17.99 plus tax and tip. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. I ordered the food mild and it probably was closer to medium spice level for this American girl but I have no complaints. (Also, the order usually comes with one gulab jaman dessert even though two are pictured in the menu. Even so, there was enough food to take some to go.) Glad to see this take over the old Aranda's space. They did a wonderful job of renovating. It had a cool modern vibe. Service was attentive and they made every effort to accommodate our spice levels since one of us can't tolerate very spicy foods. Lamb saag & butter chicken was very well made & flavorful. Mutter paneer was good too. The Baigan Bharta had chunks of eggplant & was well spiced but it was a too salty. The aloo paratha was very good & packed some heat with the unexpected chilies. This was my first trip to Naan House. I always passed by this restaurant on my way to a great nearby pizza establishment. A good friend and I decided to stop by this evening to give it a go. We started out with some Samosas. They were very tasty. But was that just luck? Then, I had the lamb curry (Indian Hot) and my friend had the Chicken Tikka Marsala (Medium Hot). The spice level was on point for me and they said the same for theirs. Of course I had to try out their garlic Naan...after all this IS the "Naan House". It definitely did not disappoint.. nice fluffy and flavorful! One of the best over had. The Kingfisher beer was also recommended to accompany the meal.. again, on point! Then came the pièce de résistance.... Dessert... The Kheer. Could they seal the deal with a dish that I have not found consistently good across my Indian meal adventures............. We ended up at Naan stop on Sunday evening and place had started to fill up and take out orders were in full swing. The place is very clean and service is amazing and fast. Food is Punjabi style and the best in all of triangle area. We had chicken saag, chicken tikka, laccha paratha and Naan. Everything was delicious. Naan and laccha paratha were huge and paratha had masala and methi leaves which made it so flavorful. W We didn't have chance to try other dishes but we'll be definitely back. I wish it was in Raleigh because it's good 27 miles from where we live. read more

Popped into Naan House just for a peek at the menu and opted to grab a seat and have lunch. This was a Mexican restaurant that had floundered for a long time. Kind of rundown and the food was marginal.The decor in this place now is quite nice and borders on upscale. Next, I ordered the Samosa and the chicken korma. The Samosa came out, freshly cooked from the kitchen and was absolutely delicious! Shortly after the chicken korma came out in an amazing and delicious very mild sauce, mild at my request, and a bowl of deliciously cooked rice with some garnishes on top. Surprisingly, both dishes came out with quite a nice presentation for such a low-key restaurant. The flavor of the Korma was absolutely delicious and for the $20 price tag on it this could've been disguised and sold in a much more upscale restaurant and no one would've known the better. Others with me ordered aloo naan, garlic naan, one of the samosa chile chaat, my hubs enjoyed grilled chicken with rice, I had the lunch special with delicious rice, three types of chicken dishes, lassi, and dessert. My husband and I love to try new places. And let me tell you, we loved this place so much, we ended up going back 2 days later with a few of our kids. I'll be honest we do miss the Mexican restaurant that was previously in this location, and initially went here just to satisfy our curiosity on what the new place looked liked. The inside has been revamped and is beautifully decorated. The first night we went the service was a little mediocre, but the second night the service was exceptional. We love Samosa and our first server suggested we try the Samosa Chole Chatt. BEST Samosas hands down! Both times we ended up getting these. The first night the chutney had a sweet flavor that was almost like it had pineapple or mango. But after speaking to the waiter, I came to the conclusion it had to of been from the onions because there was no fruit in it. The second time, it was not sweet but very savory. HIGH RECOMMEND these. The first night we ordered garlic Naan and Butter Chicken. The Naan was hot and fresh and tasted great. I always worry when I order Butter Chicken at restaurants because they always bring them out in small dishes and have very little chicken. I will be honest, I had the same opinion when I saw this dish. There was a lot of sauce and not a lot of chicken, but after eating the samosa, in the end we were satisfied. We ordered the chicken medium which was perfect for us. We love spicy things, but not to the point you can't taste the food. This allowed us to have enough heat we started to sweat a little, but still were able to enjoy the flavors. The chicken was tender and the sauce was very flavorful. The second night we had Roti with a green chutney sauce. I am not a fan of the Roti because it's so brittle and has no flavor, but I did enjoy the green sauce that came with it. For the entrees we had 2 things, one was the Chicken Saag and I am embarrassed to say, I can not remember what the other one was, but I think it was the Tandoori Chicken. I do remember both dishes were exceptional, and I was very surprised the Saag dish did not have an over powering spinach tastes. I had a fish curry that was amazing! The fish just melts in your mouth with exquisite flavoring. To add to my wonderful experience was the samosas. The pastry was super flaky and lighty buttery. Today hand PaniPuri and Chole Bhature. Kudos for the pani puri. The Chef had crafted the spices for the Pani used for the Pani Puri all by himself. It was amazing, since I come from Bombay and panipuri is my utmost passion. The Chole Bhature, Chole was mild but tasty. Could have been a bit more spicier. But all in all it was excellent.
