These are simple but so beautifully crafted, designed and fitting to a woman body in combination with the most delicate silk fabrics in different colors that I just can't imagine you will be disappointed. Kimera's experience is extremely personal and dedicated to your needs and wishes. She's got ideas, talent, excellent suggestions and planing ahead. We waited over a half hour for Collette to finish with a previous bride. She didn't tell the other bride she had an appointment and didn't come upstairs to let us know. Already I was annoyed. To kill some time while Collette was fitting my sister, I decided to look at some of the dresses on the packed racks in their dungeon basement. "DO NOT PULL ON THE DRESSES!" I was yelled at and accused of touching, breathing, glancing, and apparently, ruining the dresses. I sat there as still as stone in between fittings. It's horribly lit and has looked the same probably since the very day it opened. Why is there a shark on the wall?!?! I will NOT be coming here when I become a bride; that's a total given!

Good luck with your hunt." They don't know where I got my dress from, and I'm also someone living in NYC and doing my best. I think people are allowed to charge what they want or think their skill is worth, but I also think the wedding industry has lost their minds. I found an independent professional who did a beautiful job and charged a fair price. I have other dresses to be adjusted until my big day, and had considered saving them if I needed help for my main dress which will be more expensive, but based on this rude and entitled response, I already know to never go back to this business again.

The mirrors were also surprisingly small and free-standing, and I felt very close up to them, which made it hard to really see myself clearly in the dresses. I also would have liked to step off the podium more to see how the dresses looked naturally, but my stylist seemed to prefer that I stay on it (and of course dresses tend to look better when you're elevated on a podium). The selection is definitely a major strength, and I understand why Kleinfeld is so well known. However, there are other bridal salons in New York City that feel much more personalized, spacious, non-judgmental, and relaxed. I also noticed that some of the stylists standing around elsewhere came across as judgmental, which took away from the overall atmosphere a bit. The cups that were sewn in were two sizes too small, causing my bust to bulge out of the dress. The underwire cut into my chest, pushing one breast to the right and the other upward. With every fitting, the situation got worse rather than better -- leaving me in tears with my wedding only a week away. I ultimately had to take the dress to another seamstress just to salvage it. To make matters worse, after three fittings, they had not even completed a hem. Wedding Atelier charged $1,300 for alterations -- payment required at the time of purchase -- and refused to refund a single dollar despite the damage they caused. The owner, Carrie, was completely unsympathetic and unwilling to take any accountability for what happened. She is unethical,. If you want to protect yourself from unnecessary heartache and stress in the lead-up to your wedding day, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere.

I received the dress the day before the event and it is a truly stunning dress for a great price and fit like a glove. I purchased the correct size based on the fit check tool which was spot on. It doesn't just give you what will fit - it tells you based on if you want a snug or looser fit based on your own body measurments. Great experience overall!

I'm giving 1 star because the dress itself was beautiful…read more Let's start with the service. They are very nice and helpful. Just know that when you find a dress you love they will charge you a deposit (totally fine and expected). You will get a bill that will tell you the balance. When you go to pick up the dress they will try to charge you more stating tax - even though this is on your receipt. They will tell you the balance is what you "would" owe if you paid cash on the day (or after) the wedding (the receipt does not say this). They will claim it is "the machine" that tells them the balance. Even when you show them the receipt - nope. It was a 40 minute ordeal to get them to charge the balance on the receipt. My friend who had picked up the dress for us and had to stand there for 40 minutes while I argued about wanting to pay the balance on the actual receipt. Also, when my daughter went for her final fitting they forgot about her appointment. she waiting for them to come and open the store and then to have the dress brought for her to try it on - this took over an hour! When I mentioned this to the owner/manager (not sure which she was) she said that was "her bad". Lets move on to the tailoring: The tailoring was horrible and didn't hold up. they did add a bustle which consisted of a metal piece that looked horrible on the back of the dress and it did not bring the dress up enough. The bottom of the dress hung lower than the bustle and looked really bad. the crinoline was tied so tightly (we paid for them the come and help her into her dress) that she had cuts. My daughter mentioned the beading was an issue at the top of the dress and was irritating her skin. She now has blisters across her upper chest and marks around her waist from the crinoline. My daughter wore the dress for the ceremony and had to change right after. Meaning: she couldn't even wear it for her entire wedding. I texted the owner/manager (again, I don't know which she is) the next morning, She apologized. basically said in 30 years in business she had heard of this happening, but hadn't heard theirs ever did that due to their premium quality underskirt. She thanked me for letting her know and said that despite the unfortunate issue with the dress she hoped my daughter was still able to enjoy the rest of her special day and the the wedding was filled with beautiful memories. I responded telling her that considering the dress is the actual main event for a bride - that ruined things for her as well as anticipated pictures and a much harder capture for the live painter who was supposed to use a picture from the reception. I did send her pictures. I did not hear back from her again. The woman who came to help my daughter into her gown was very nice. She did take pictures of my daughter in the dress and even a video that she posted on their instagram without permission. Keep in mind this was about 5 minutes after my daughter was in the gown. We only paid for her to be there just to help her in the gown. I was not about to pay $600 for her to stay all day. I actually wanted to cancel this service and asked for it to be taken off. When they finally decided to just charge me what was owed and not the additional BS money this service was still included. Since I paid for it I just rolled with it.
