Located in the pocket of Oxnard warehouses. With the secret door that says Nazo Boxing. This company made bags from Mayweather to Lomachenko. So the quality is top shelf. They have the best prices and quality in LA. You can even order custom gloves and bags. It's a hidden gem in the valley!

I found an ad for this place on offerup while searching for a heavy bag. I contacted the owner and he was very prompt and invited me to their physical store. I showed up and came in and the owner was very welcoming and quickly asked me what I needed. He was very straight forward but also offered options and solutions for what I was looking for. Not once did he try to upsell me anything in fact he even offered suggestions in order to not spend money on unnecessary things. I ended up getting a regular all black 90lb heavy bag at his recommendation he said it was more than adequate for the intended use. He gave me a good deal and I also ended up buying one of their new double end bags with all the equipment needed to set it up. The owner went ahead and loaded the heavy bag into my truck and was very courteous about the whole process. I would recommend this place for anybody looking for a heavy bag or boxing/mma equipment. I don't know about their bad reviews regarding their online store but I had a good experience in person. I also would suggest to bring cash to this place if you want a good deal and quick transaction.

After I had lunch with a friend of mine yesterday, I decided to stop by at this particular store in Van Nuys to check out the store, and if they had what I was looking for. Yes they did! I needed boxing gloves since I take a class, a women's sports bra in black, (was on clearance rack 50% off). Not too shabby. I also needed a folding chair that I can use to sit outside. I found the exact chair in the color that I was looking for. It was $15 NOT/including tax. It even has a cup holder which is a plus. I also needed a Foam Roller for my back. Got that too. Last, but not least, I needed 2 and half pound dumbbells. They had pink and black. I went with the pink color. That's all I needed from this store yesterday. Everything was nicely organized, got a very nice welcome from 2 of their employees, store was clean with decent sized parking lot, and they did have a bathroom. Love Big 5. They truly have anything & everything for all of your athletic needs. Go get what you need!!

Regardless of what shoe you want to try on, you're going to be ushered to a computer where they measure your feet and give you an analysis and then fit you for very expensive custom insoles, upwards of $100. They'll then recommend 4-5 different shoes based on this, and the price range will vary. If you had a shoe in mind that you wanted to try, they'll bring that as well, but they'll push the others. They'll put the custom insoles in everything as an upsell technique, so you'll have to take it out if you really want to try on the shoes without the expensive add on. The insoles were meh. Didn't do much for me. I asked for the shoe I came to try on and was satisfied with those and ready to check out until they said the sale price listed on the website with free in store pickup wasn't applicable to in-store purchase ($30 difference) unless I signed up for a membership which was a $20 trial for 6 months and somehow tied to those damn expensive insoles and custom socks that I also didn't want. So if I wanted the sale price, I'd have to spend $20 somehow and be tied to those insoles I said I didn't want to begin with? I dunno. I felt like I was drowning and somehow my $150 shoes were going to end up costing me $300. Stop trying to make everything a membership subscription. How many pairs of running shoes do you think I'm going to buy every 6 months? Craziness. I went home and ordered my shoes on Amazon for $140. I really tried to go in-store and support a business in my neighborhood but no thanks on all of that.

I recently visited both Road Runner and Fleet Feet while searching for new walking shoes, and the…read moredifference was striking. Fleet Feet was, quite literally, feet ahead of the competition. At Road Runner, a foot scan gave me useful insight into my foot structure and what to consider in a shoe. The technology was impressive, but the experience was less so: the store seemed understaffed, trying each shoe often meant another 5-10 minute wait, and when another associate stepped in, I had to repeat what I had already gone through. More importantly, when I asked to try a shoe outside the scan's recommendation, I was discouraged because it contradicted what the technology suggested and was told not to try it on. Data can inform a decision, but footwear is ultimately experienced by a person, not an algorithm. A scan should guide curiosity and judgment, not replace them. I eventually tried the Brooks Ghost 18, but Road Runner did not have the colorway I wanted, so I bought them elsewhere. After my first walk, they began cutting into my ankles, and my search started again. Then I went to Fleet Feet. From the beginning, John made the experience entirely different. He greeted me warmly, did a new foot scan, explained what the results meant, and, most importantly, listened. He combined the data with his own expertise and my actual feedback rather than treating the scan as an answer. And finding the right shoe was not easy. Because of the anatomy of my feet, I ended up trying nearly 15 different pairs. Through every one, John's patience never wavered. When a shoe caused discomfort, he listened, reassessed, and brought out another option. He never rushed me, never made me feel like I was taking up too much of his time, and never acted as though he simply wanted me to settle on something so he could make a sale. What made the experience exceptional was that John seemed just as invested in finding the right shoe as I was. There is a profound difference between helping someone buy something and genuinely helping them solve a problem. John understands that difference. Eventually, I found the ASICS Novablast 6, which felt like the best fit for my needs. Unfortunately, Fleet Feet could not get my preferred colorway in time for an upcoming trip, so I ultimately left without buying a pair that day. And that may be the strongest testament to John's character and customer service. After investing all that time in helping me, John never pressured me to buy another color or settle for another shoe just to make a sale. He cared about getting me the right shoe, not simply getting me to buy a shoe. That kind of service is rare. I have met plenty of people who are knowledgeable, and plenty who are friendly. It is much rarer to find someone who combines expertise, patience, attentiveness, and genuine care for the customer's outcome the way John did. Fleet Feet, you have an exceptional employee in John. A foot scan can provide data and a system can generate recommendations, but neither can replace someone who listens carefully, applies expertise, adapts when the obvious answer is not working, and stays committed until the customer has a real solution. John turned what had become an incredibly frustrating search into one of the best retail experiences I've had in a long time. Thank you, John. Your patience, expertise, and genuine commitment to helping me find the right fit did not go unnoticed. Fleet Feet is lucky to have you.

With the store in my sites I pulled a hard right without rolling the SUV I was driving and parked... Amazing surf shop for goodie , surf boards and skateboards. Grabbed my Val Surf logo sweatshirt and a weird Nike shirt cause it was kick a$$ white with hot pink drawing... Now I explored and found great surf gear from major brands I won't mention but the shoe selection was amazing, especially the VANS. The suede leather Vans were awesome and I desperately wanted a few pairs but I didn't have room in luggage.... As I was walking past UGG's display they had the sand color version and again if I had room I'd bought a pair... Super cool " Dude " handling cashier duty's was awesome. The over the top skateboard decks blew me away located behind him and I only wish I was 12 again so I pester my parents for one... we had a good laugh about age and away I went... For those who don't know him well he was a member of the Zephyr Competition Skateboarding Team, or the Z-Boys.... Can't wait to come back and I'll have a bigger luggage bag for more gear.
