5 stars all around! I went in looking for a Thule cargo carrier and had my eyes set on an XXL. Nate looked at my Honda CR-V and recommended an XL because it would save me money by allowing me to use my factory-installed crossbars. I so appreciated Nate's honesty in not trying to talk me into a more expensive option when an XL will fit my needs. Nate and his team installed the cargo carrier on the spot and I couldn't be happier with the results! This, compared to the Thule website that is sold out until 2022 and charges $150 shipping fee. Highly recommend Rack Attack - Sherman Oaks if you're in the market for a carrier! Thank you Nate for the 5 star service!

Miles hooking Rosa Sparx with Thule windblades! Thank you for your help!!

Now I explored and found great surf gear from major brands I won't mention but the shoe selection was amazing, especially the VANS. The suede leather Vans were awesome and I desperately wanted a few pairs but I didn't have room in luggage.... As I was walking past UGG's display they had the sand color version and again if I had room I'd bought a pair... Super cool " Dude " handling cashier duty's was awesome. The Sebenza purchase is actually a very funny and memorable story for me. One day, I was out for a drive with my three-year-old daughter, who always falls asleep better when I play music in the car. After she dozes off, I usually take her home and put her to bed. That day, while driving past the knife shop's new location, I noticed a celebrity walking into the store. I won't say who he was, but he's been around for a long time, and I'm a huge fan. Of course, I pulled into the parking lot and went inside right away. Besides the employees, it was just me and him in the store. I walked over to a display featuring some knives I had been considering for a while--kind of a grail knife for me. Clearly, I was just stalling, and everyone knew it, but they were kind and polite. Meanwhile, my three-year-old daughter ran all over the store, touching the glass display cases and leaving smudges everywhere. One of the employees casually followed behind her, quietly cleaning the glass but never saying anything rude to me or my daughter. After standing around for what felt like an uncomfortably long time, I decided to bite the bullet and make a purchase. I still have that knife and use it regularly, just like any other pocket knife. But every once in a while, I look at it, smile, and think about that day--the day I stood awkwardly close to one of my childhood idols, unable to say anything intelligible, while my daughter ran around making noise and leaving fingerprints on everything. Recon 1 is a class act! They deserve the reputation and repeat business.

Not sure if he's always like that, but I didn't really take it as rudeness. To me it sounded like the guy has been there for 20 years of experience and knows what you're looking for and goes straight to the point; no time wasted. If you're someone who wants to be spoken to like a child, go somewhere else crybaby. Secondly, they had exactly what I was looking for. A holster and gun belt for my 4.5 Echelon with a TLR-1 HL-X light attachment. The holster fits pretty good for the price. I'm pretty happy with it. It's not perfect, but that's because the Echelon is just now getting popular, so manufacturers will eventually make more things for the Echelon later down the road. Not a fault of the store; they had exactly what I needed. Thirdly, I wasn't going to write a review, but the young gentleman that helped me out, (handsome Persian guy), with my shopping. When I paid for everything and left the shop, he ran down the block and caught me before I drove away and handed me the tools for my new gun belt I purchased. They could have just allowed me to move on with my day; I didn't even know the tools came with it, but that made me want to write something for this business. The owner of the place has had it for 23 or so years. I like his straightforward approach. No singing or dancing around the topic. Like I said, if you want to be treated like a princess, go to a restaurant and bother a waitress. Come here for real business. Thank you 3 gentlemen that helped me. And thank you Persian man for doing a small but kind gesture.

I try to support small local businesses whenever I can, especially ones in my own neighborhood. In early January I stopped into Addax Tactical while I was out riding my e-bike with my dog. The staff were friendly, they were cool about my dog being there, and they even let me bring my bike inside. My first impression was positive. A little later I went back to order a rifle. I wanted a Henry Big Boy .357 Lever Action Rifle. They didn't have it in stock, and I was told it would take about two to three weeks to arrive because the SHOT Show convention was coming up. While doing the paperwork, I also decided to purchase a Ruger 10/22 so I could complete both purchases with a single background check. I left a deposit of about $1,200 toward roughly $2,000 total for the two rifles. Both rifles are very standard models that most gun stores typically have available or can obtain quickly. I could have easily purchased them elsewhere, but I made a deliberate choice to support a smaller shop in my neighborhood and was willing to wait the extra couple of weeks. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the rifles to arrive by late January and to have them in my possession by mid-February after the required 10-day waiting period. That didn't happen. After three weeks I called to check on the order. Nothing had arrived yet. I waited another week and called again. Still nothing. The responses were always very casual, with little explanation other than that the rifles had been ordered. Around six weeks into the process, I was told the Ruger had arrived but they hadn't called because they assumed I wanted to pick up both rifles at the same time. I went in immediately and started the paperwork to take possession of the Ruger. During that visit I learned something that had never been mentioned before: the Henry rifle had not actually shipped yet, and the shop generally places firearm orders in batches rather than ordering individual rifles. This was the first time I had heard that, even though the original estimate had been two to three weeks. At that point I agreed to upgrade to the octagonal-barrel version of the Henry since I had always wanted that model anyway, and I was told the change would not affect the delivery timeline. After the 10-day waiting period I picked up the Ruger and again asked about the Henry. The answer was still that it had not arrived yet. By this point we were about eight weeks into the process, with no clear timeline. About a week later I called again and received the same answer. At that point I decided to cancel the Henry order and request a refund. I was told the refund would come from accounting and that I should expect a check in two to three weeks. After two weeks I called again and was told it could take up to 30 days. I eventually went to the shop in person to check on the refund. This time I was told I could not bring my bike or dog inside, even though I had been there several times before with both and it had never been an issue. Eventually I received a call saying the refund check had arrived. For the sake of transparency, I'm writing this from memory without the receipts directly in front of me, so the dollar amounts may be off by a few dollars either way, but the numbers below are very close to what was paid and refunded. When I picked up the check, the amount returned was about $370 out of the roughly $1,200 deposit I had paid. That means that after roughly 12 weeks, the final outcome of this transaction is that I effectively ended up with a $830 Ruger 10/22 -- a rifle that typically sells for a few hundred dollars at most gun shops. Even assuming some type of restocking fee, it's difficult to understand how that result makes sense, particularly for a rifle that, according to the shop, had not even shipped yet when I cancelled the order. I went into this purchase specifically because I wanted to support a small neighborhood business like Addax Tactical and was willing to wait longer than usual to do so. Unfortunately, after the delays, the lack of clear communication about how orders were handled, and the final refund outcome, the entire experience ended up being extremely frustrating. If you're considering ordering a firearm here, my advice would simply be to make sure you clearly understand the ordering process, timeline expectations, and refund policies before leaving a deposit. Posting this simply to document my experience so other customers know what to expect when placing a special order here.

I had never shot a gun before, and for this to be my introduction, the bar has been set high, my friends. For my friends birthday, my wife arranged a private class for the three of us with Aris, and let me tell you--this man should be teaching a masterclass for future instructors. We walked in with sweaty palms, feeling unsure and nervous, and walked out feeling empowered, knowledgeable, and eager to do it again. His patience, professionalism, and passion for what he does left me in complete awe. The class was clear, informative, and to the point. While there was a lot of information to absorb, Aris knew exactly when to repeat the most critical safety points in a way that never felt overwhelming or monotonous. After the class, we moved to the shooting range, where he guided us through range rules, etiquette, and practical application. Having him there to offer real-time adjustments and tips made all the difference--it truly brought everything full circle. The Target Range--give this man a raise! He brings the passion, knowledge, and respect that the gun industry deserves. If you're a first-time shooter looking for a safe, educational, and confidence-building experience, I highly recommend booking a private class with Aris. We'll definitely be back!
