    Combo over Rice
    Anthony N.

Was looking for a late night spot to get some food, and I stumbled upon Naz's Halal. The Food: I went with the Lamb bowl with an extra Kofta Kebab for my first time. My friends and I decided to share some Spicy BBQ Wings and the Corn Nuggets as well. The lamb here is cubed and cooked perfectly. Tender and juicy, mixed with some salad and rice made for the perfect combo. The Kofta was tender and juicy as well! The corn nuggets were also good, but not anything noteworthy. The Wings ere tasty and extra spicy, so if you can't handle it, get the regular flavors. The Service: Service was great! They have a big menu for you to browse and it's very simple. The staff were friendly and they got our orders out to us in a timely manner. The Atmosphere: Nice and clean space. Small restaurant with very few seating. So it's mostly a take out spot. Overall, a 5/5. Enjoyed the food here, quality and portions were good. I'll be keeping this bookmarked and coming back for sure!

The customer service is great, but the food is not. I got lamb over rice. The meat was low quality and undercooked; it made me sick.

First, the hostess acted like we were an intrusion into her evening, didn't welcome us or make eye contact. She sat us at a booth, which didn't work, so she did seat us at a table. I asked for a vegetarian menu, knowing there was one, but she walked off, did not return. Our waiter was a young man, spoke very softly; we both had a difficult time hearing him. My wife ordered her drink; I asked for a few more minutes. That drink did not appear until half my meal was over, which I did not appreciate. And I had to ask 3 times to get the drink, including asking another waiter. We ordered salad and main dish; my vegetarian menu finally appeared. It just seemed both the hostess and our waiter did not care to attend to us. I do not know if we will be returning; and to top this all off, both the hostess and waiter called us 'Guys'. When two older women are sitting at the same table, we are ladies, or simply nice to see you two tonight. Please tell your wait staff to get this right. We like Bungalow Lakehouse, it is close to home, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

It's all flavors/dishes that are familiar to me growing up in a Chinese household or that I love of Korean cuisine, so I definitely enjoyed dining here! They gave us banchan and dessert on the house which was so kind! I had a nibble of most the dishes and would recommend the spicy bulgogi stir fry, soy glazed brisket, and jjajangmyeon. Can't go wrong with any of the small plates too! Service was impeccable and Happy Hour is every day 3-6pm.

The dining room isn't very big, and since we came for an early dinner, we had our pick and chose a four-top with a view. Well... the view was basically the Paris Baguette that's across the street. The general manager came by to take our order. To drink, I had a mocktail, "house-made lime cooler," which consists of "pureed Asian pear, lime juice, and Sichuan tea." I found it to be very refreshing. My husband had a Coors Light. For my entree, I chose "Soy glazed brisket" which consists of "2Fifty Texas BBQ brisket, soy brined soft egg, furitake butter, pickled peppers, steamed rice". I liked this entree. It was mildly spiced; the pieces of brisket were properly prepared; the pickled peppers added some heat; and the soy-brined soft egg was a nice touch. The egg was soft-boiled, and the egg yolk provided a nice flavor. My husband chose "JJayJangmeon" which consists of "shrimp, scallops, roasted black bean sauce, noodles". The dish is made with wheat noodles. It arrived hot and with a nice vegetable garnish on top. The greenness of the vegetables made a nice contrast to the dark brown sauce. That brown sauce was hot, mild, and thoroughly coated the dish's ingredients. It seemed a bit unusual to see a dish with shrimp and scallops coated in a mild black bean sauce, but it worked nicely. The shrimp arrived tail-less, and the scallops were soft and not rubbery, both properly prepared. I was glad not to have to fight with the shrimp tails. All in all, we were glad we made a return visit.
