Terrible. I hope and pray nobody ever has to be admitted here. They couldn't give a toss. I was sent after an accident and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I discharged myself and boy they hated that. (No more money for them) They are rude with a deplorable attitude. And by the way the Dr that visited me had to have been over 70 years old. I had a Cardio ablation at Naples Hospital this past Friday December 5, 2025 . I had had one done three years earlier in Miami. I would rate Miami hospital at 10 I would rate Naples Hospital at one. Or less horrible experience I woke up with a tube down my throat. I couldn't scream. I sat up four times on the operating table over 10 minutes till they finally pulled 8 foot of hose out of my heart out through my legs in excruciating pain. Definitely would not recommend Naples go to a real hospital. read more

There always a few glitches when you enter the hospital through the ER. The counter person did not seem to understand my wife was here for a stroke. The Dr. had called and told them we are on the way. Once that glitch was fixed, they started to do all the tests to verify the stoke. Unfortunately, she had a stroke and lost 25% of her vision. The nurses, Dr., and specialist were all very understanding and sympathetic to our situation. One of the most important tests is the echocardiogram. Which took us two days to get. They said they were backed up. Yeah, or they forgot? Anyway, once we had the echocardiogram and there was no damage to the heart we could leave and start making appointments for after care. read more

Try to talk to someone at the hospital or doctor offices. The calls go to Costa Rica and after providing a lot of information they send a text message to the office I tried to reach. Many hours later, I might get a return call. The returned call rate is 1 in 4. Proscan and a few others are no longer taking Blue Cross. When I called for an appointment they happily offered a self pay rate lower than the amount they charged Blue Cross. While in the hospital I had blood drawn for which Quest never issued a report. On another occasion, last year Quest was billing me for some unidentified blood work that was billed to but I never tried to bill Blue Cross. I do not believe in "needles in a haystack." read more

i just got back home after a two night stay at Baker NCH in downtown Naples. I started in the ER with diverticulitis and had to be admitted due to complications. My care was excellent from the entrance of ER to my departure. Nurses Sam, Stacey, Maude, Skyler, Eli, Claire, and Lisa provided excellent care, compassion, and professionalism. My doctors: Dr. Bravo, Dr. Pulford, Dr. Madeline Deutsch, and nurse practitioner: Margie, stopped by my room daily and sometimes twice in a day. They were all very thorough and listened to my conditions and concerns. I never felt rushed when we were discussing care and options. Even the cleaning crew were so kind and helpful. Maria, Consilta, and a few others were on top of any needs in my room and always had a smile. One of the office crew delivered a fresh sunflower to enjoy with my "gourmet" liquid diet. Such kindness! I would highly recommend this hospital for your medical needs. I pray I never have to go back but if I do, Baker NCH is the best option. Thank you. I had the Hiccups for 5 days, so annoying and I was unable to sleep. I went to the walk-in clinic they gave me some meds that didn't work so the next day I went to NCH Emergency after so texting they found that I had very high enzymes which could cause a stroke and/ hear attack. I was admitted and the NCH Team that treated was beyond amazing. I am from Staten Island and I recently moved here in 12/2023 and I was never treated so well in a hospital befor. The staff Dr Madalyn Doych, Dr Sarah Baker ( the sweetest person I ever met) Nurses Tyler, Omar and Natali (loves cannolis.) were exceptional. I hope never to return but, if I did I would clearly request this 4th floor team. #superdadfla read more

I'm a retired physician. I entered the ER with severe abdominal pain. I had a bowel obstruction. The surgeon that cared for me was great. The hospital physicians, ant NCH, are down right dangerous. They tried to treat me for three diagnosis that I didn't have. I had to review my own chart and stop them. These doctors don't take histories, ask about symptoms, do any exams. They randomly order tests. Then they interpret them incorrectly. All my testing and labs were negative AND I had no symptoms but the doctor argued with me, ignoring the evidence. I had to put my foot down and refuse further treatment until they did the appropriate evaluation. He finally did. I was right and he was wrong. These were not complicated problems. They were common every day problems that any doctor should be able to evaluate and treat. Inexcusable! Did I mention that I finished at the top of my class at a top medical school? I was the Chief of Hospital medicine. I have years of experience in hospital medicine. I was a doctor before most of the imbeciles were born. I'm absolutely appalled. read more

Absolutely the worst hospital within this region. It's unbelievable to me that it's consistently terrible. One bad experience is one thing, but after the third I am officially done and will not return unless I'm unconscious and have no choice. Today I didn't even make it past triage when it became clear that I was so much better off at home then waiting all day in a freezing cold waiting room. The triage nurse was rude, the check in person was rude. The past 2 visits I had 2 separate terrible doctors who didn't seem to care, didn't seem to want to be there, didn't seem knowledgeable and didn't do anything to help. If I could give NCH a -10 stars I would. The emergency room is like a third world country. Waiting time can be up to 8-10 hours before anyone sees you. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Attitude from the staff is unacceptable. They all need sensitivity training. It's as if they all are working in a dollar store. So pleased with my general surgeon Dr. Robert Bailey after he performed an emergency appendectomy. He communicated all aspects of my health and medical necessity for urgent surgery. I felt assured that I was in good hands with Dr. Bailey. The emergency room staff and nurses were excellent. They made sure that I had all the necessary treatment and pain relief when needed. I visited NCH in february late at night after splitting my lip and wanted to get it glued. I was told wait would be hours but was also told they would not glue and only stitch. For a facial Injury this was not what I wanted so I decided to leave and not seek treatment. I was surprised to then receive a bill several weeks after I returned to UK. I wrote (Utah address) and heard nothing; I called (two numbers) and no answer (and calling from overseas so costing me money) and couldn't register for call back! I went on website and submitted a request to billing; a few days later sent one to CEO. No response. I've posted on Facebook and Twitter. Nothing - Just sending chasers for bills every month. Naples community hospital billing department is atrocious. Apparently they changed over their billing system sometime in 2022 and I have had nothing but problems since then. I received a bill for a co-pay that I owed and tried to pay it several times online. I called NCH billing several times, and was told I had a zero balance. I kept receiving the bills, and finally a representative who had access to their old billing system advised me I still owed them. I attempted to pay it on their website, but could not do so. Now, it has ended up going to a collection agency. The agency called me a couple of weeks ago and started the conversation by asking me to verify personal information which I refused to do over the phone because of all the scams that are going on nowadays. I told the collection agency to send me the bill and I will pay it. Three weeks has gone by since that conversation and I have not received anything from NCH's collection agency. A second billing incident, not to my surprise is an outstanding bill of $33,000 and change. They used the wrong code and after about 20 phone calls with different representatives at NCH I had to have a three-way call with my hospital insurance coverage company because NCH initially billed my personal health insurance in error. Now I am receiving bills from the joint rehabilitation institute located on Pine Ridge Road for the Doctor who performed surgery on my elbow and they are threatening to send it to collections also. After having a three-way call with a NCH. my insurance company requested my medical records to try to figure out the problem for NCH. Last time I wrote a review about NCH I received a call the next day and I called that person back four times and have yet to hear from them again. Needless to say, I have a great credit score and have never had a bill go to collections before in my life! NCH billing should have someone in a managerial or supervisor position should really look into this problem that they are having. I have been dealing with this hospital for years at least three of my family members have been in here and we've always had problems.. grandfather got bad infection after hip surgery .....My father three years ago was in NCH north they transferred him downtown without telling me and had surgery without telling me or the family I was livid!!!! . Recently he went to NCH north for an infection they put him in for a procedure and never told the family!! They want to release him .... been there for a week... and case worker has never spoke to him or family at all..... our home are nurse has said that NCH for a while isn't giving info about medicine or pharmacy. You need to push for information and do not let the hospital release him till you make sure he gets his medicine and what pharmacy they are using!!! Case worker is supposed to talk to family before a patient is released! They did not do correct tests for my father so now has to stay longer.. mri machine was broken for days... at a hospital that's ridiculous !!! Also... heard from a friend that They used a medication list from last year not the updated one and that patient got very sick!!!! I am just very disappointed!!!! It's a close, clean hospital and this time had a good nurse but unbelievable how communication is there !!! This hospital is a fucking joke! Parton my french. I brought my son here at 5pm for a Laceration under his chin From falling off his swing. We arrived Here and was attended in about five minutes to get checked in Three hours gone by I talk to the lady at the front desk and asked How long it was going to take for a nurse to see my son? Four other parties Got attended even though they arrived 30 to an hour after us. She told me it's not about who comes first it's about how serious the issue is. Which is so BS if my sons laceration wasn't so major They Could've Checked him out and sent us on our way to focus on major issues. Long story short we got hungry so we left to get dinner at Dairy Queen got my food within 15 minutes and left to eat at home. My 72 year young husband was seen at NCH No. ER for severe pain in his back and abdomen. The doc was going to give him a patch for pain and discharge until I asked if they did a urine test. They had not although when they did they discovered he had a raging UTI. 1 week later he was admitted to NCH downtown with a brain bleed (is what they called it) but it took 3 hours to talk with anyone about what damage he incurred. A hospitalist came in but gave us no info. He was admitted to ICU for 3 days. I requested a talk with a neurologist because my husband was unable to walk. I needed to know the damages but never did I see a neurologist. He was then transferred to a general floor and PT was started to try and help him walk... I still have no idea of the damage. He was still in so much pain back and abdomen that all they did was drug him. I had enough and started demanding No more drugs find out why my husband hurts. The hospitalist in charge kept arguing with me on my husbands care and finally took himself off the case... he was one of many arrogant doctors from DR that I never got info about my husband.....It took 5 days before they did a thoracic MRI to only find he had Osteomyelitis in his spine which turned out to be E-coil due to the UTI. They started him on a drip and 3 days later they took him down for an X-ray not sure why but, My husband came back all upset that the 2 men that took him down tossed him around like a rag doll. A few hours later I got a call from the nurse telling me my husband had broken ribs. I was livid but the hospitalist knew nothing about that . 2 days later he was transferred to rehab. Wow already. He was in rehab for a week to no avail. Reasoning being his blood pressure was dipping below 60 every time he tried to get up... meds were not working now. We needed to get him home to Michigan... at the point he was transferred back to NCH downtown....we had no trust in what this hospital was doing. He was loosing his appetite and they wanted me to start bringing him his meals. Nobody was giving me any details on why any of this was happening. They would come in and take blood and vitals and never answer any questions. Never did I see a specialist on anything. I also noticed that my husband never had circulation socks on. I felt I was slowly loosing him. 4 weeks from the day he had a brain bleed... he started complaining of chest pain... they finally came in and did a EKG.... My husbands heart was good, what else could it be .... A cardiologist came and looked at me and arrogantly said "why was I called here" there's nothing wrong with his heart!!!!!!!and left.... 2 days later my husband was DEAD! We got him back to Michigan and his autopsy proved he had pulmonary embolism. But he actually had 3 blood clots present when he died. This hospital should be closed down! read more

Worst worst worst. We are literally sitting in this room for 12 hours AFTER 9 hours in the ER and not ONE doctor has come in to speak with us on his condition. The ER was full of "maybes" and "possiblies" but not one doctor, since we moved to the room, has the decency to spend five minutes to fill us in on what, why and how. What were the test results? What is his diagnosis? What is his prognosis? Oh but wait, he's contagious. With what? Not even the nurses tell us anything. And yet they want us to stay another night? As a health care professional for 50+ years I am ashamed of NCH from my experience in the ER. 8 hours after arriving with kidney pain and extremely high BP, I was seen by Dr. Rad 3 times for less than a minute each, nurse Theresa about the same after saying "I'll be right back" more times than I can remember. X-ray, ct scan, blood work, urinalysis and no results. I finally asked to be d/c'd and left. A zoo is quieter and every diagnosis was proven wrong according to my other doctors. $ 15,000 later and feeling ripped off. read more

Routine bronchoscopy turned in to a punctured lung and resulted in an over night stay. Chances were 10% of happening. What was an in patient procedure turned in to an overnight stay. The absolute worst part was the ridiculing from the staff as I was wheeled to the room. I was never more humiliated and emotionally scared by these heartless cretins called care givers. I've never cried like I did from how the staff treated me. I will never step foot in that hospital EVER again. The big sign below the TV says that Violence of any form is not tolerated. I took my 55 year old wife to the NCH Baker downtown hospital emergency room last Sunday afternoon the 3rd of September for chest pains after they had installed a heart loop a week before she was scared out of her mind there was something seriously wrong with her they admitted her that night and put her in to an observation room I went in Monday morning to have lunch with her and see how she was doing she said a cardiologist came in and told her that this wasn't his speciality and left after less than 5 minutes then someone comes in and introduces himself as the "hospital doctor " in such a heavy accent he was hard to understand he didn't listen to a word my wife said he just told her she was crazy and mentioned psychiatrist 5 times insinuating she was crazy, I've been in the car business over 40 years and I've had more than my share of rude people ans this guy is on top of the list he made my poor scared wife cry we asked the nurse to see another doctor she said we couldn't she had a consultation with a neurologist later that day but Mr rude discharged her as soon as he could now she's NO BETTERat home feeling like she's going to die due to the sub par care she got in observation room 11 on labor day, if you're having trouble with you're heart go to physicians Regional Jeffrey Adams Naples florida read more

Stay way from this group unless you want poor customer service and enjoy getting ripped off through their bogus charges. It took me months to finally get a customer service representative to review some of my past charges, their response is that everything looked correct even though they did not do any research. Imagine going in for physical therapy only to find out that you get charged in 15 minute increments, not a fixed amount per office visit. This group clearly only cares about corporate profits and has no consideration for the patient / customer. Some friends said nch stands for "not come home" others have said don't darken their evil doorways. They either were not trained properly nor do they care about keeping things sanitary. The NCH Healthcare System is one of the worst of its kind! I would never recommend anyone ever be seen by the practice office at the North Campus. My experiences there were outstanding with my doctor and his immediate nurse, otherwise the experiences were sadly uncomfortable for any patient. I have been there when only 1 person was checking in and also checking out patients who were standing in a line, some unable to stand well. I've had multiple issues attempting to make an appointment and rescheduled 4 times and additionally have been unable to understand foreign-speaking schedulers. I've attempted to speak with so-called administrators who virtually offered no patient assistance with exception of see a different practitioner despite the complexity of my health and the need for a seasoned physician. The last thing I'll say is that I was fired as a patient by a administrative nurse who clearly only cared about the policy established when a patient is upset by a call placed to schedule tests and a visit, even after I was no longer going to be seen by the Practice in which my doctor was present. My opinion is that patients do not matter mo Matter how many mistakes the sustem makes. A patient is NOT allowed to be upset, voice their opinion or be treated on a way that is conducive to good, common sense medicine. SWFL needs direction in its care of human being in this regard. I have care to patients in multiple capacities for over 35 years and never once had an issue with a patirnt! It's a sad day in healthcare today, just ask the doctors themselves!!! read more

On 11-4-2022, I had an appointment with a Dr. Axline. I arrived on time at there facility on Bonita Beach Rd. only to find the building locked up. No note informing all appointment's were canceled, nothing. I than looked on my chart to see someone by the name of Katherine stating that she informed all appointment's were notified. I called to make another with Dr. Axline only to get an appointment more than 60 days after 11-4th appointment. I than made an appointment with Dr. Axline's P A, Tara Louka, PA, downtown NCH which is an hour drive from my home. She was absolutely no help at all. Today I receive a bill for $11.29 after my insurance paid $273.74. 12-9-2021, I had open heart surgery at NCH downtown hospital. The care I received was exceptional. A year later I developed a bump on my chest. A short time later my dermatologist removed a wire more than 6" long from my chest. I am totally done with NCH. Now I have a cardo Doctor at Physicians Regional Healthcare System. read more

God help you if you have cancer and need the Infectious disease dept. at NCH. You cannot get an appointment. I have no complaints with NCH other dept. I have had stays at er, and the hospital. The staff is ok. (except for 1 misdiagnosis). The facility is clean. But I have cancer, and my cancer dr. cannot proceed without infectious disease clearance. Nurses came to the phone when I called in for info different times of the day and were forthcoming. They were patient with all my questions while visiting, and I had a lot! I recently moved to Naples from New York. I had been warned about the level of medical service here in Naples but I had no idea how bad it really is. I suffer from severe and debilitating migraines. I had a wonderful neurologist in NY who treated me for several years. It is taking me months just to get an appointment. The neurologist staff are cold and uncaring. The doctors are unsympathetic to my condition. I am going to end up hospitalized and dehydrated due to the lack of medical treatment. My husband, a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic went through the same thing trying to find an endocrinologist. I have other conditions and am experiencing much frustration just trying to find doctors accepting new patients. I love Naples, but I am not going to live very long here with the poor quality of medical treatment. It is very sad. read more

I had Laparoscopic Inguinal hernia surgery by Dr. Robert W. Bailey at NCH North Hospital. The surgical service team from preadmission (Veronica) to post surgery (Sandra) all of the nurses culture as a team made me calm and comfortable ready for my surgery and ready to go home. Dr. Bailey's hurnia surgery on me was uneventful. I was discharged the same day with very little pain. I was able to walk from day one and now on day five im virtually bruise and pain free taking no pain medicine since day one. Dr. Bailey is one of the best Laparoscopic General Surgeons and he is known for being so. I highly recommend NCH North Hospital with this Doctor and surgical team. Cliff K. read more

I have had 2 experiences trying to get care through NCH clinics. The first time I called I was newly pregnant at 6 weeks and asked to make an appointment. I was told that I wouldn't get an appointment with a doctor until after I was 12 weeks along because I could easily loose the pregnancy before 12 weeks. Ok that's reassuring. They said I could schedule with an intake nurse for information about pregnancy since this was my first. I scheduled for a few weeks out (8wks). The morning of as I was heading out the door I received a call stating that the nurse was out and I needed to reschedule. I broke down crying. I rescheduled for my 10wks and decided to also look for another doctor. I was able to schedule elsewhere within that week to meet with an MD at 8wks and also received an ultrasound. Meanwhile I never canceled my apt with NCH. The 10th week arrived and that morning again I received a call stating that the nurse was out and I would need to reschedule. Luckily I was already receiving care elsewhere. I'm now at 35weeks never "lost the pregnancy ". I called yesterday to get set up with a pediatrician because the NCH clinic is closest to my home and my doctor wants me to have a pediatrician set up. When I called the receptionist stated "we only make appointments for newborns after the baby is born and home so call us then". I was appalled! What a horrible crap clinic. I called another private pediatric practice in Naples and have an appointment scheduled-their doctor wants to meet me before the baby is born and will visit the newborn at the hospital once she is born. I am saddened for those who because of their insurance are limited to the low level neglectful care the NCH clinics provide. This is not ethical. read more

What kind of hospital allows their staff to tell a patient figure out your own way to push your wheelchair and to find your nurse if you want help then proceed to cuss and use the F word.
