    Ned burger. Cant go wrong

One of the best burgers around. Be patient. Every burger cooked fresh. My favorite of the beaten path Glenn the wall.

Leaves a lot to be desired. I assumed it would be fresh flounder not frozen, store bought planks. All breading and over priced.

This is actually the second time I've been here and it was just as good as the first. This restaurant is off the beaten path in "downtown" Aynor, SC. There really isn't much of a town or downtown, by Northern standards. It is mostly locals who frequent this hidden gem. It is a simple exterior, easy to miss with a small sign. Inside is simple and plain with its painted plywood ceiling. But the burger is far from plain. This is home to the Ned burger which is about a half pound of a delicious heart attack. If you are brave enough, you can order the double Ned burger which is about a pound of meat! I barely made it through a regular Ned burger and I passed on the fries and other sides. Not to out done, there is a triple Ned burger! There are some pictures on the wall of people who were able to survive that mountain of food. Don't know if they went straight to the hospital. The burger is not only huge, it is delicious. Quality tasting juicy hand slapped beef patty. Those who also ordered sides said the French fries and onion rings were perfectly prepared. If you are ever in the Aynor area, disregard the plain Jane wrapper and dive in for a Ned burger.

Food was good, worker was very rude. I asked for extra Mayo and she said and I quote " you can come up and get it yourself I'm busy" with an attitude a simple I'm a little backed up right now give me a minute would've sufficed or give me a couple minutes but she was very rude about it. My friend also tried to order and she gave the same attitude to her as well simply over adding a condiment, Loved my burger. But I would NEVER talk to my costumers the way that lady spoke to me and my family. I work in food service and get it, but that's no reason to be rude. Might not come back here for that reason. It's not my fault you're busy, find a new job if you're that un happy that you have to treat people like that. Respect and friendliness is free. Ruined my whole meal over her commentary.

Rather than circling around Aynor searching for this strangely addressed business, I'll help you out. Its at the intersection of S Main and 8th. How that location got an address on the 500 block of N Main I'll never know. 2013 #128 / 365

    Ned's Burger

Great small town Main Street family restaurant. Enormous hamburger for $6.95!!! Fries were good , but no room after eating the burger. Seriously, it took logistical planning to eat the burger. First, I went around the burger eating the overflowing meat with a knife and fork, until I whittled it down to match the bun, then cut remaining burger in half to finish it off. Don't listen to internet troll hater Yelpers, give this place a try if your are in or are passing through Aynor!

Ned's is always great for lunch. It's better than going to any of the other fast food places around and it's less expensive as well.

The host very kindly escorted me there & what a great surprise! The Tap Room host, Joanne, saw me looking a bit lost & greeted me. I didn't want to take a whole table as I was just there for a cocktail. Joanne suggested one of the leather lounge chairs & got me settled. She made me feel very comfortable. I'm old school enough that as a woman I felt awkward being in an unfamiliar town in a bar full of strangers. Joanne reassured me & checked on me throughout the evening. I had a fabulous Old Fashion, enjoyed the multiple TV's & ended up conversing & laughing with a whole family who were also visiting. All around, a great experience that all started with Joanne taking me under her wing & making me feel comfortable. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Conway!

We almost drove past it even though the GPS said we arrived. It did not look like a restaurant, but one indicator that there was good food here, was all the commercial trucks in the tight dirt lot. Apparently they do alot of pick up orders as well. Super burgers is in the name, so a burger was what I was going for. I ordered the regular bacon cheese burger with the works w/ fries. There was a double burger as well and I am glad I didn't order that. My regular burger was huge. Easily a half pound+. It was cooked perfectly despite the super busy kitchen. It was a pretty long wait to get it but was worth it. The fries were crispy and not greasy. I have found that the little hole in the wall local joints usually have the best food. This will definitely be a regular ride destination.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!
