All Temp first came to our house in May of 2024 for trouble with an existing system installed by…read moreanother contractor in 2015 and moved by yet a different contractor in 2020. A few technicians came to the house over a few months and with the unit under warranty they had to order a blower motor for the unit that took a bit to come in from the manufacturer. The last tech that came out was Glenn and he worked to get a few door panels that were damaged by the previous contractor in 2020 replaced under warranty. I appreciated the level of service back in 2024 and when the system recently had an issue with the compressor, I contacted All Temp for an emergency call and then decided to go with a new system. Glenn still works at the company, and I spoke briefly with him over the phone and Dylan came out to do a survey of the house and gave me three recommendations on replacement units. I would also recommend an Energize Delaware assessment because there are rebates to be taken advantage of for insulation, crawl space encapsulation, and an energy efficient system. The lower priced model didn't fall into the rebate and so of the remaining two we choose the American Standard Platinum 20 SEER2 variable speed model paired with Platinum variable speed air handler. They were able to get the installation on the schedule quickly (for summer) and Dylan takes the extra step of taking the rebate off the price and putting it in through Energize Delaware. Tony, Matthew, and Ken came out, were very professional and did the install in half a day; great teamwork. We also went with a thermostat that connects to our Wi-Fi that allows All Temp the ability to view remotely if we have any issue with the system. Shane was scheduled just over two weeks later and did a quality assurance inspection of the work. The truth is that Glenn sold me a system in 2024 with his level of service and follow-through. This company is worth a look if you need work done on your heating and air conditioning system.

One time "John" answered and I told him I was interested in an HVAC maintenance and service contract. He rattled off some numbers and promised to email them to me that night. Never got anything. I then called that number over and over, leaving messages that again were never returned. Finally, a woman answered and explained that she was in a front office and could give me no info (??) about service contracts, but she said if I called 800-921-0392 an answering service would take a message and forward to someone who would call back. She also promised me that John would send me the promised info that day. Not. So I called the 800 number and left a message for someone to please call me. Nothing. I give up. Too many other HVAC companies that care. I wonder how if they respond to customers needing emergency service.

Previous management completed the job with spectacular results. I have a top-line Infinity gas back-up furnace, 5 dampers for a single unit system with 4 zones on two floors for a 3300 sq. ft. home. (I cleared drywall space in the basement ceiling to facilitate two trunk lines parallelling the I-Beam in the basement; some ducks up, some down). I have reviewed Coastal Comfort extremely well up to the replacement of my outdoor heat pump three years ago. After all these years of my many positive experiences with Coastal, especially regarding the 'non-management' front office staff and the highly qualified technicians that I've grown to love, I can tell you that this company has changed to the negative.... after the transition from the now-owner's father- Kevin Coleman. There's such an emphasis on growth ambitions, market share, profitability.... General and Service Managers have been hired that are nothing more than confrontational and abrasive in their communication styles if anything doesn't go as expected for them.. A total inability to listen----and it's supported by the now second-generation owner!! LOL Bottom line ---Bryant equipment is EXACTLY the same as Carrier. I was told this by the distributor they purchase all their equipment from! The equivelant of Carrier's Infinity furnace that I own and love is Bryant's 'Evolution'. It's just another brand running down the same assembly lines in the Carrier Global manufacturing plant! Do your own research for a local dealer of your choice, whether it's Carrier or Bryant!~ Sometimes a smaller company is much preferrred verses one that doesn't exerecise basic customer communication skills on a managerial level or truly listen to a customer when ther is an issue. Here's a takeaway----Call Coastal Comfort , or when they call you, they always recite the disclaimer statement of "You're on a recorded line" Who cares!! It's a partial intimidation tactic that they actually spend a lot of valuable minutes on to review hundreds of calls instead of a fucus on customer satisfaction issues. It's almost humurous thinking about all the wasted minutes when more productive time utilization can allow the business to prosper more effectively.

Took the manager I guess he was 2 weeks to get back up with us and he said he had to do research on how competitive the pricing was and kept trying to explain there quality of parts and service warranted the cost. Well my wife wouldn't accept it and they finally refunded us $250. So we cancelled the contract and just had another plumbing issue and used Drain Chasers Plumbing in Georgetown and he was fantastic.
