I do not use alcohol or drugs for religious reasons, so that accusation is completely false. I had only stopped by to ask about scheduling and to fill out the application in advance to save time before an appointment. When I became tearful and briefly turned my back to wipe my nose, the already impatient receptionist, suddenly got up and went to get the doctor. Instead of showing empathy, he told me he didn't take insurance and that the consultation was $150, then dismissively said, "come back when you have the money" after reprimanding me just for crying over the ongoing situation with my hair which affects my self-esteem and self -worth. His response also contradicts itself because he is mentioning that I was wearing a beanie and that I had messy hair which calls into question his accuracy. I would also like to add that his Healthgrades profile, which is marked as claimed by the provider, lists Blue Shield of California PPO as accepted and highlights "friendly staff," "good communication," and "good patient care." Unfortunately, my experience reflected none of these qualities and lacked the compassion expected from a physician who has taken the Hippocratic Oath. I have PPO insurance and have been a patient of Huntington Memorial Hospital since 2016, long before it merged with Cedars-Sinai. I have long-standing care through Huntington Memorial and other licensed providers who can confirm my medical history and conduct.
