I love this place, but last night night was a big disappointment and even some anger. My parents, wife, daughter and I decided to drive from Meridian so I could introduce the ice cream to my visiting parents. We first tied on the 26th of December but the sign said it was closed for the day. Last night, the 28th, we tried again since store hours said it would close at 8. We arrived 15 minutes before closing, after spending 15 minutes looking for parking. When we got to the door it was closed, even though the sign clearly said closing was at 8pm. My wife pulled on the door to see if it was open and that maybe thr place was just preparing to close to get out as soon as they could after 8. Door was locked, and the employee ran to the back (trying to hide I guess). A closing early sign was have been dissapointing and frustrating but having a worker being there and running away is insulting. Makes one wonder how seriously they take their job in other areas of preparation/handling of the ice cream. read more

Pro-tip: They offer samples and have the option to do a flight! The little signs have cows and sheeps on them to indicate if its made with sheeps milk or cows milk - how clever!! Highlights: I take every opportunity to order a flight when I can. It was my first time trying sheep's milk ice cream and it definitely won't be my last. I thought it was going to be too icy since it's less fat, but I actually found it to be really refreshing and just creamy enough. The flavors are fantastic and I would come again in a heartbeat. Lowlights: The flight itself was actually very difficult to eat out of because the ice cream is a bit on the harder side and it was hard to scoop out of the small bowl without holding onto the ice cream itself to prevent the whole thing from tipping over. read more

Came in last night for a kid scoop while downtown. I love that this ice cream is available. Perfect for people with food allergies or just want to try something different. Across the street at Stella's was a long line so we crossed the street, came here and had no line at all. This is an ice cream shop I'd be happy to take my kids too. I had a delicious scoop! The woman scooping let us both try free samples which was so nice. The ice cream is more icy than regular dairy ice cream but as it melts it creams up more. I would definitely come back. read more

Negranti Creamery keeps Downtown Boise cool with sheep's milk ice cream. The folks at Negranti use milk from pasture raised sheep and blend it with farm fresh ingredients to create their unique ice creams. I do believe that there is still lactose in their ice cream, but it is easier to digest than regular cows milk. I'm not lactose intolerant per se, but I do often feel bad after consuming too much sugar and milk together. The sheep's milk ice cream here does give off more of a healthy alternative vibe, which I can see some folks not being fully on board with- but I dig it! I got the ice cream sandwich made with both an oatmeal and snickerdoodle cookie, with their Thai tea ice cream. The cookie was on the harder side, making it hard to eat as a traditional ice cream sandwich- but I enjoyed eating it out of a cup with a spoon. The decor here is bright and whimsical. There's outdoor seating, or you can take your ice cream to the fountain nearby and enjoy it there! There's also a selection of natural sodas- you can even make an ice cream float with them! A must get is the flight option where you get to get 4 scoops. We got the blueberry lavender which has the perfect amount of lavender flavor, the black coffee chip which has good sized grainy texture, the peanut butter chocolate which was very peanut flavor and not so much peanut butter which is great, and the pistachio which is not like those other artificial flavored and neon colored green options out there. Absolutely amazing ice cream! I didn't know sheep's milk ice cream was a thing but now that I do, I feel like cows can save their milk. This ice cream is both lighter but to richer, and seems less oily in your mouth. That allows the flavor to shine which is great because Negranti has fun flavors like strawberry basil and espresso. They also have basics like vanilla which are full of flavor and are anything but boring. You can get a basic cup or cone or get a cookie ice cream sandwich. I just stuck with a basic cup because I wanted to highlight the ice cream. I stuck with the vanilla, because I'm a simple girl, and it was truly so flavorful and silky that I could have eaten a pint. I encourage you to try something you're familiar with so you can compare the difference. I'd you're not in love with the idea of sheep's milk they do have a few cow's milk options so you can have something familiar. The prices feel high, but isn't that true for everything everywhere right now? I think it's reasonable to pay a premium for quality and, I hope, to compensate workers fairly. Give Negranti a try. I heard they're trying to source their own sheep's milk locally and I support trying to keep their money local so I'd love to keep funding this business. read more

Stumbled upon this adorable shop while walking through the farmers market. Sheeps ice cream??? Yes please!!!! I had to google what the difference was between cows milk and sheep milk. Although both have lactose, most humans are more tolerant to the lactose in sheep milk. I got one at lactose intolerant and was all about that sheep milk ice cream! They let you sample all the flavors, but I only needed to try one before I knew which one I was getting. Thai iced tea flavor it was!!!! It's definitely not as creamy as traditional cow milk ice cream, but it's still super yummy! I got a kids scoop and it was plenty enough. The workers there were so sweet and helpful! Negranti Creamery has delicious icecream at a fair price and super kind service. When we went in, I asked like fifty questions and the lady serving us was patient and explaining everything. Their system doesn't ask for a tip when you pay, which made me really sad because the service was just so nice. I got the split scoop, which is slightly more expensive than one scoop of a singular flavor, but definitely worth it. Negranti has cow's milk offerings in addition to sheep's milk. The sheep's milk ice cream has a higher protein content, less fat, less lactose and a different texture overall. I would say its a super unique experience. The brownie's and cookies are okay, I wouldn't get them tbh but focus on the ice cream instead. Their coffee based icecream also has a huge caffeine concentration, so I would not have it if it late at night! read more

This was an interesting experience. I have never had sheep's milk or ice cream before! The girls that helped us were so sweet and smiley! I appreciated that they had a few cows milk options because to be honest it was much more creamy to me. That being said, all of the other sheep's milk flavors were great too. My favorite was the Peach Cobbler and the Chocolate Caramel. Husband fell hard for Salted Brown Sugar. Also since my husband is lactose sensitive, he noticed a huge difference in how his system responded to the sheep's cream! Win! read more

The sheep's milk ice cream really is a thing I didn't know was a thing. It has a "lightness" to it that is really cool.
