The gentleman working the window was so nice! Repeated my order and got me all squared away. Asked if I wanted any sauces. Food was made and he thank me and I was on my way! For lunch I got the kids cheeseburger meal. I would love to eat a big burger but I know i would not be able to eat the other half. So the kids was the perfect size. My burger was great! The patty was seasoned. The cheese was nice and melted. The pickles were tasty! And the bun was fresh and soft! I added some ketchup to that bad boy and it was perfect. The fries were so good! They were fried golden but not too hard. They were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The fry sauce with the fries will always be my favorite! I have lived in Boise for 10 years, and finally tried this place. Honestly so good. Such a simple classic burger, but also feels better than if I were to eat fast food. The fries are soft on the inside crispy on the outside. They have so many options for drinks including milkshakes an soda combos as well as soft serve ice cream. Well priced. A burger and fries is only $9. They also have a drive thru. Outdoor seating but no indoor seating. Feels like an Idaho staple. read more

The Oreo Coated Twist Cone looked and tasted great! I got the small cone and it was still huge (see my night pic). I came expecting to get a Flavor Burst Cone, which are still advertised online. However, they're not on the in-person menu and the counter server said they no longer offer them (stopped a while ago). My wife and I went to try this place after seeing it advertised on a local instagram page. Overall it was good and the food was fresh. Service was also great. I got the double cheeseburger with tots which they have labeled as "gems" on their menu. My wife got the bacon cheeseburger with the waffle fries and I should've gotten those instead cause they were good. Their buffalo ranch sauce is good. After getting my order, I was so disappointed to see a small portion of same old, cheap, pre-made fingersteaks, straight from the freezer bag to the fryer. They don't make their fingersteaks anymore. I've never ordered regular food here, just ice cream cones. I grew up on Tastee-Freez, which invented soft-serve ice cream and may have dipped them first, too. That's my favorite at Fancy Freez: a twist cone dipped in chocolate. My only gripe is that they're not consistent in how they dip. A properly dipped cone has the ice cream sealed in the chocolate or other coating. That prevents the ice cream from dripping all over you. Fanci Freez is a really great retro burger joint vibe with some unique local offerings! You can either go through the drive-thru or park and order at the walk-up and eat at their outdoor dining tables. It's a really great spot to grab some comfort food at with some friends or family! One of their famous offerings is the "Boston Shake" which is like a shake sundae with two different flavors of ice cream. I got the Boston Shake with cookie dough on top and coffee on the bottom. The cookie dough came in big chunks on top and was obviously really delicious. We also got the huckleberry burger with tater tots and the orange cream soda. The fanci soda creations are unique soda combinations. The creamsicle we got was a mix of spite, orange, and vanilla. The huckleberry burger was really sweet but the bread bun was top notch and I loved adding a bit of their fry sauce to the burger. This place is just a simple fast food joint that serves decent ice cream and fast food items such as burgers and fries. I did like the ice cream and decided to get some fries to enjoy but to be honest the fries weren't that great and had some coating on it which personally I don't like. I just want fries that are fried and doesn't have breading on it. The soft serve was okay but not something I would go back for. The price was also a bit high but since we are experiencing inflation, I guess it makes sense. The shakes were really good & the food was ok, the onion rings were really good. But a very young staff & they put 6 burgers 4 fries an order of Chx tenders & mozzarella sticks all in one bag and when I picked it up the bag ripped open from the weight of everything. I didn't know everything was in there until after it was on the floor the young staff didn't even help to clean it up, my wife did!! Then it took forever to get new food & never got my fries!! Food has always been good. However, you guys really need to take the option for your burgers being available as lettuce wraps off your online menu. I went there today specifically for that because I am on a low carb diet and the guy told me you didn't have lettuce to do a burger wrapped in lettuce and they could put it in a bowl for me.
