So friendly. They grow their own herbs, fruit, and veggies. Fun and interesting place. Great for all ages.

They have houseplants too! Large selection of organic and synthetic fertilizers for trees, shrubs, perennials, vegetables, flowers, and lawns, and they have pest control products too. They have a huge selection of fountains, outdoor ceramic pots, and houseplant pots. Plus, they have a cute little boutique with unique gifts! Most likely the last place where you can have a custom Christmas Tree topper, holiday, or special occasion BOW made by their floral designer, Dani. Bring your own ribbon or choose from their selection of quality D. Stevens ribbon. She can make the bow as large or as small as you want, and they always turn out AMAZING. The bows last for years! They also have RAW HONEY from their own 300 hives across North Carolina. From bee hives right here in Wake County to the mountains of Ashville/Swannanoa, and to the Carolina Coast, they have the honey! You can pick from 8-oz jars, 1, 2, & 3-pound jars, 1/2 gallon, and 1 gallon jars of honey. This place is truly AMAZING!

One very kind worker even walked around with my wife looking for a particular plant before realizing they didn't have it. Additionally, they have a wide selection of pots and gardening tools. If I lived closer, I would be here quite often. Great establishment.

I wish it had two huge meatballs for all the linguine but it was a huge hit. I ordered the Philly cheese steak on a gluten free roll. The roll ended up being two pieces of bread and came out well after everyone else's food. The only side I could have was fruit but it was delicious. The Philly cheese steak had onions and peppers and was very tasty. The waitress was great but very busy. It was a nice atmosphere, very casual, for a quick lunch with two young kids (2 and 4) . Crayons were provided to keep the kids occupied while we waited on the food.

This month there are new specials and tonight I had the Korean Barbeque Chicken. Its served as a bowl with breaded chicken breast and Korean BBQ sauce on a bed of sticky rice with broccoli, carrots and green onions topped with Yum-Yum sauce. It was absolutely perfect and at a great price. They've got a Vietnamese chicken & noodle dish that I can't wait to try also as one of this month's specials. Service is always outstanding. We've made a lot of friends from the customer's a Ruckus. Monday evenings we almost always stop in for Music Bingo and dinner. Its always a good time.

This is a nice little find on a relatively sparse area along Salem Street. Expanding from their…read moreFarm Soap Company in Franklinton, Carden Farms has opened a farmer's market in Apex. Although it still seems to be getting itself organized, there's a lot of potential here for anyone wanting to shop local. I spoke to one of the owners (Carol) during my visit, who proudly explained their goal was to source as much from North Carolina as they could. And for those few things not from NC, nearby states were represented. It's late in the season for produce, but Carden still has some nice winter squash from the NC mountains and tomatoes available. And unshelled pecans -- a southern staple -- are sitting in a bin outside the door. NC honey, clover and wildflower, is available inside. What makes Carden unique is the non-food inventory: bird houses made with real tree bark and moss, local firewood, and the natural soaps from the "home farm" Carden Farms in Franklinton, and various made-in-NC (or USA) knicknacks. The natural sponges from Florida are larger than I'd expected; and the local (from Apex) hand-made crochet scrubs are cute and equally as colorful as their box-store counterparts, but sans synthetics. In the other half of the store is a freezer with local grass-fed meats and a cooler with eggs, all reasonably priced. Eventually, as Carden gets fully up and running in this location, they plan on adding breads, cheeses, and boiled peanuts. I'm not sure when this will all happen as they're still working hard to organize everything. And surprisingly, to complete the total farmers market concept, according to their website, Carden will also offer North Carolina seafood on Saturdays. I can't wait to watch this shop expand and hope it becomes a nice alternative to the trek to the Raleigh Farmers Market.
