I wish it had two huge meatballs for all the linguine but it was a huge hit. I ordered the Philly cheese steak on a gluten free roll. The roll ended up being two pieces of bread and came out well after everyone else's food. The only side I could have was fruit but it was delicious. The Philly cheese steak had onions and peppers and was very tasty. The waitress was great but very busy. It was a nice atmosphere, very casual, for a quick lunch with two young kids (2 and 4) . We are regulars at Ruckus Apex. We're there 2 to 3 times per week and I've enjoyed about everything on the menu. This month there are new specials and tonight I had the Korean Barbeque Chicken. Its served as a bowl with breaded chicken breast and Korean BBQ sauce on a bed of sticky rice with broccoli, carrots and green onions topped with Yum-Yum sauce. It was absolutely perfect and at a great price. They've got a Vietnamese chicken & noodle dish that I can't wait to try also as one of this month's specials. Service is always outstanding. Our waitress was very good very sweet. We came in for lunch. It was an extremely quiet Monday. We ordered a huge slice of cheese pizza. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak sub and a French dip sub. Both come with fries. The pizza was pretty good The fries are nice and crispy and sweet potato fries. Taste really good. Nice amount of. Nice amount of meat in both sandwiches. Went for mother's Day lunch today and it was atrocious. First they had a sign outside saying it was 1/2 off entrees for mothers. After the bill came found it was one mother per table, that was stated NO WHERE on the flyer. If I knew that I would have ordered something else. The salad we ordered came out with some which like seemed a part of a kitchen cloth on it. Something not edible, disgusting! My whole family got their entrees and they forgot mine, they brought it out when my family was basically done eating and my family had to wait for me to finish to leave. The side of fries came out extremely late after all other food arrived as well. We were told we were told we were going to have that salad removed but it was never removed from our bill. Horrible experience today. I've been several times before, no issues. I will not be returning to this location any longer. read more

I travel for my work and every-time i land in NC , Ruckas has been my go to for great food, great spirits, good prices, i have gotten to know the owner a little over the last 8 years i have been going and some of the staff, I have noticed the last couple of times that the great Bartender/servers are not there anymore )Nichole (. two times ago i came with a friend and the food took forever to come out. and when it did it was cold. they literally put it in a micro wave. that was bad. BUT TODAY IS WHY I MAY NEVER GO BACK !!! I came in at 3 pm fresh from airport and it was not busy at all , the bartender was cold and not welcoming , I got a beer then asked if i could have a grilled cheese made for me,, she was agitated and said i could not order off the kids menu. I asked if they could make one for me with bacon ( as an adult) and the asked what they used for bread, she then got all bent and said it was texas toast and not worth buying,,ok. i've had this made lots of times for me over the last 8 years , i just paid for my beer and left. My usual dining place in Apex was closed New Year's day so I found Ruckus in Apex. It is located in the shopping center with Costco. They have standard seating; high top seating in the bar section; and covered outdoor seating on a patio. They offer brunch on Saturday and Sundays which I didn't realize. I love eggs benedict and they offer a country benedict so fried eggs instead of poached. A biscuit instead of an english muffin and country ham. I didn't like this take on eggs benedict as the ham was too salty for me and I prefer poached eggs. However I also got to try the Ruckus White pizza. The pizza was delicious! Some strive for greatness & some are just happy with mediocrity. Ruckus is a shiny example of mediocrity. There was nothing that stands out with the design, ambiance or the menu. There are lots of places that serve similar bar food yet somehow people flock to this place. Haven't been in years so decided to revisit to see if I've missed out. Service - I know that it's hard to find good help but the service was inattentive and lackluster. Had to ask several times for straws. Ordered onion rings as a side & it was brought out burnt not once but twice. Whomever was expediting should've caught that. They need their fryer oil changed and temp adjusted. Food - It's typical sports bar food. Nacho appetizer was huge & decent. The chicken Philly was pretty good & generous as was the kicking chicken sandwich. The Sam I Am personal pizza was pretty good. Onion rings arrived burnt twice & were complete inedible. They sent out another serving for the 3rd time. It was cooked to a golden crisp but the crust was very hard. They weren't good onion rings. With that said, I wasn't impressed & have no desire to revisit. There are plenty of places around town with better management, better service & better food. Update: I always appreciate when managers/ owners take the time to read & respond. I'm on Yelp because I want people to be aware of what they're doing well & what may need improvement. Some things are obviously lost on some people. I said the food was good...it met the criteria to satisfy a hunger. I didn't say it was anything to write home about. As for an "off day", how many "off days" do you have to justify a trifecta of bad service and burnt food all in one service?!?! Instead of trying to gaslight me by implying that it is "my rating scale", you may want to look inwards and address the delinquencies in YOUR service training for both front and back of the house. Your staff should be embarrassed sending out a second burnt order instead of paying attention to how the food was prepared. They are frozen bagged onion rings so how hard was it to ensure that it was done right? Incidentally the table next to us had a burnt order of mozzarella sticks. They may not have brought it to your attention but it was clearly dark brown/ black. That is inexcusable. We had to ask for the inedible item to be taken off our check. Not a single manager came over to address this issue. Yes you may have people flocking (& people will as long as there's sports on a big screen and alcohol) but your answer was the epitome of mediocrity. It's ok if you scrape by to barely pass the test but you don't see any need to improve. Eh...there are plenty of great sports bars that serve similar food to you around town. There are plenty that always has much better food, better staff training and exceptional service. We are regulars at several and have never had a bad experience in the many times we've been to those. read more

I've written reviews for Ruckus in the past (both dining in and take out). The last time I got takeout the wrap was a little baggy but this go around...perfection! I ordered a wedge salad (added onion, subbed blue cheese for ranch) with a side of tenders. The salad was fresh and crisp and the tenders were perfectly fried and the chicken tenders were, well, tender! And a great portion for the price!! I also ordered the steak quesadillas for my son who is very particular about his quesadillas. They needed no add-ins or substitutions. They were perfectly stuffed and grilled crisp to perfection. PSA - The Five Alarm Burger is more like a One Alarm. Finally decided to brave the name and was severely unimpressed, especially due to the lack of cheese dip served with as promised on the menu. Spicy cheese stick was on TOP of the burger, not in it, and the cheese within wasn't melted. The spicy seasoning on it didn't pair well with the burger. Pretty disappointed with this dish. Stopped by for a quick lunch and found that Ruckus seems to have raised prices and abandoned the 10 for $10 lunch specials. We ended up just ordering a couple of slices of pizza. Pizza was ok and service was fine. High menu prices and lack of lunch specials were a negative. A couple of thoughts....1) Pizza for lunch - there are multiple options very close by that have lunch specials that include pizza and soda at a much lower price. Quality is as good or better. 2) Regular food items - All of the sandwich items at Ruckus are now $15.99 and up. Again, there are multiple places close to this location (some within walking distance) with better pricing and just as good quality. We would typically stop at this Ruckus location if we were in the area around lunchtime. In the future, we'll probably drive a short distance or walk to another place. read more
