It was very busy there today. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I got a cheddar bagel with cream cheese. It was fresh and delicious. I always smile when I go there.

Stopped by Neil's Donuts in Middletown for breakfast after their morning rush on a week day. I was looking forward to an egg and cheese on a bagel, luckily they had a few bagels left. I also ordered an iced coffee, a blueberry cake donut (my favorite), and a classic glaze donut for my husband. It's a huge debate if Neil's has the best donuts in Connecticut. I personally only like the blueberry cake donut so I'll leave it at that. This location is modernized compared to its original location in Wallingford. It's super clean and has an organized queue because they get very busy in the morning. There are a few seats inside and outside, but most grab and go. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I enjoyed my egg and cheese sandwich while it was still warm in side. It was very delicious and the bagel was perfectly toasted. The iced coffee was much needed and it was alright. I love finding an excuse to visit this Neil's location as I enjoy it more than Wallingford.

The fact that the donuts were on their side made them get smooshed and the frosting fall off. The only ones that stood out to us were the blueberry crumb and glazed. The apple cider donut was INCREDIBLY DRY. The apple filled was a solid meh. The strawberry frosting was barely strawberry flavored. I don't see the hype about this donut shop

I love coming to this location, but lately the people behind the counter continue to make my order, incorrect. I usually get an iced coffee black with NO ice. Every single time there is ice in my coffee. I understand it's a morning rush I also understand this is a hot commodity of a location, but being sold out of a majority of things an hour and a half hour after opening is a little disappointing

Best. Donuts. Around. Even on a busy Saturday morning they've got an efficient process to get customers in and out. Their donuts are always fresh and taste amazing.

Sloppy ripped bag with raw egg in it

Let me start by saying that my family and I visit this location often and normally I have no issue with service or food. This past Saturday just after noon we pulled into drive thru and was shockingly the only vehicle in line. Female on speaker asked for our order. I gave our order. Oreo donut. Black coffee medium. BEC sandwich on poppy bagel. SEC sandwich on an everything. I pulled up and waited for over 10 minutes while multiple cars pulled in behind me. The young lady at the window apologized after about 5 minutes saying there might be a wait. I answered, "no problem", and kept waiting. I watched thru the window as no one cooked sandwiches. There were people moving around apparently cleaning. I saw one male person carry a bag of food towards back of store. Another tall male was pretending to play basketball. After about 10-12 minutes the girl at window apologized again for the wait. Just afterwards I saw a young male walk slowly over to the grill and start cracking some eggs. He looked over and smiled and waved, clearly mocking the fact that we've been waiting for him apparently. I was relieved that someone was finally making our food that I've already paid for. He continued to wave and smile foolishly while he cooked. Eventually we received our order and we left. One of my sons pointed out that his BEC was a SEC. My SEC was a BEC (The difference was the bagel). There was raw egg all over the inside of the bag which was ripped. I've never received an order like this so I'm certain it was intentional. Normally I would assume that a mistake was made, but with the cooks ridiculous smiling and waving mixed with the sloppy egg covered ripped bag I doubt it was a mistake. Overall it took about 20 minutes to get through the drive thru. I drove home and after looking at the bag and contents myself I decided to call and complain. After a female answered, "Neil's Donuts", I stated that my sandwiches were delicious and that I wanted to leave the grill cooks name in a review. No response. She just stopped talking. I repeated "hello. Are you there?", while listening to the background noise, for two minutes until I knew they wouldn't respond. I hung up then I called 2 more times in the next 10 minutes. Both calls went straight to voicemail. My girlfriend called and a female answered. She put it on speakerphone so I could listen or talk. The person we were speaking to was pleasant enough. My gf asked for the manager. The female stated that there was no manager atm but she was the closest thing. Gf asked for managers name and number. The stated that she couldn't give out their numbers but gave me 2 Managers names. Fair enough. I thanked her. She asked if we wanted to speak with the owner. I replied "sure". She asked for my name and contact number. I told her my name and gave my number. She said that she'd let someone know right after the call and that someone would get back to me most likely in the morning. That was a week ago. No call. After several days of waiting for a callback I sent an email. No response. I guess no one there really does care if employees intentionally mistreat a customer. Also worth noting, I went back the next day and it took 4 minutes to place and receive my order and leave the drive thru. 20 minutes one day because of a clown. 4 minutes the next morning when the team is working together.

    Box it came in

Neil's is a great donut spot. Next time I'll go right when they open--by 8:30 a.m. most of the donuts I wanted were already sold out :((

Always great donuts and bagels here. My favorite are the Boston cream and everything bagel. The Staff here is fast and friendly. Plenty of parking and they also have a drive thru too.

I usually love Neil's but I ordered an egg and cheese that was made with tons of eggshells. It was disgusting and I couldn't eat it.

Breakfast sandwiches are alright sometimes could be greasy. Donuts seem rushed and not as fresh like when they first opened up.

Do they have a discount program for law enforcement officials?

Not entirely sure about law enforcement but I've been in several times in uniform and they haven't offered any kind of military discount.

Can you call ahead to order donuts/bagels to be picked up at a specific time?

    Yes you can

Decent donuts, nice local shop, good staff…read more Came to this location for another bakery, but hours were wrong so I had time to burn. Decided to hunt down a few different locations and this one popped up in the hunt. Location is a small space in a little plaza. Staff was friendly, recommended the strawberry donut. Price was 2 bucks a donut, so towards the higher side. Donut was fresh, dense with a heavy sugar shell and a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Not bad, but I prefer the lighter yeasty style donuts than the denser, sugar laden ones. As a local donut shop, it's good. The quality is there, but the donuts are not my style. They are good classic dunker style doughnuts though.

My BF got an iced coffee, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We grabbed an assortment of donuts to try, since it was our first time here. Their cinnamon rolls are huge, and it was nice and cinnamon-ey which I love. I also got the cruller to enjoy later. Now, to me, a cruller is nice and airy with a hint of crispness in the edges and a moist center. This was more like an old fashioned donut made into a twist, and it is probably one of the best old fashioned donut I have had ever! Nicely glazed, but that dough ... chef's kiss! We also grabbed their chocolate frosted and a Boston cream to share with our son. The employees are super nice and helpful. Only downside is they only serve coffee - iced or hot. I wish they had an espresso machine for lattes and cappuccinos. 4.5 stars!

It's always such a great time to visit this café! I love the aesthetic and it's so cute and pink…read more I love how current the owner Tookie stays when it comes to Labubus and Sonny's Angels being available in her shop. I've even seen her do Labubu trade events via Instagram. My most recent visit I brought my mom to try her very first mochi donut. We tried so many flavors, but my favorite was the rose lychee. Absolutely amazing and light, the texture is always perfect. To drink, I got the Matcha with the cheese foam on top. Definitely a new experience for me, but I liked the contrasting, sweet and savory flavors of the drink. My mom got an Vietnamese iced coffee with mango boba... What a combo lol! Big mistake but thankfully Tookie remade her drink with some brown sugar popping boba. Can't wait to go back, as always!

Good donuts, needs tlc…read more I've been to this place before, and I appreciated the location despite it being an event. So being in the area, decided to come here and pick up some donuts for the ride home. We got here late in the day, and they were out of almost everything when I got there. I managed to get a churro and matcha donut. I then saw they did a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, and had to give that a try as well ( they only do the cup on the weekends) The donuts were very fresh, light and chewy. They are high in price but much better in quality compared to other places I've tried. The Dubai strawberry cup had a kind of weak chocolate sauce over them. Not the cheapest stuff on the market, but not strong or mellow like the expensive chocolates. The strawberries were fresh, and the Dubai part needed a little salt to counteract the sweet and enhance the earthy. Inside is well decorated but dirty. All the tables were dirty, there's lots of dust and other ditritus when I was waiting for my dessert. It was end of day, so I get why they would not be fully clean. But there's some repairs that need to get done and there's cracks in the facade. Despite the lack of donuts, the quality was good and the Dubai strawberries were a nice sweet treat. This is a good place to get some interesting food items or sweet treats. Not a trek worthy spot, but good if you're around
