    Assorted donuts

Holy cow! These are seriously delicious large donuts. My coworker brought in an assorted box and it was super hard to make up my mind because they all looked so good. I'm a sucker for jelly/filled donuts, so I went for a blueberry crumb donut and did not regret my decision. The donut was dipped in glaze and topped with lemon crumb. Amazing! Despite there been more donuts left, I was stuffed. So, if you're trying to decide, choose wisely because one donut is enough to keep you full for a while.

These are just really fantastic. My boss brings in 3 dozen of these bad boys (donuts) to our staff lounge every Friday morning. Always look forward to which one I'll be trying each week. Their french crullers are light, airy and perfectly glazed - my favorite. Those powdered jelly filled ones on the other hand will be a heavy bomb to your body and will leave you full all day. Regardless, they are the best around!

Neil's Donuts OG location is bright and welcoming with lots of friendly faces! Go early and know what you want because it gets busy inside. The whole family loves the donuts, definitely worth the drive every time.

Definitely worth the hype! Walked in and the line was almost out the door, but that didn't stop the staff from being quick but friendly with getting their customers situated. I purchased a dozen of donuts of various flavors and honestly it was a great price 17.45. Mind you I even got a few filled donuts such as the key lime and apple filled. No seating in Neil's however that does not take away from how great Neil's Donuts is! Wish I was closer!

Neil's Donuts is an absolute gem! We unfortunately live out of state but if we lived nearby we'd be here all the time. The selection is huge with donuts, breakfast sandwiches, muffins and coffee, and while the lines can be long, they move quickly. Pro tip: check out the menu online ahead of time so you're ready to order. The staff is fantastic--friendly, patient, and efficient, even with the crowd. The donuts themselves are out of this world. My favorite was the honey dipped, while my husband loved the blueberry crumble. Their filled donuts are especially impressive--split in half and packed with a generous amount of filling. Every bite just melts in your mouth. If you're anywhere near Neil's, don't pass this place up. It's worth the trip!

All I can say is "Next!" If you are a sinfeld fan you will know. But I'm all honesty what a great place. Even though you move through the line at the speed of lightning you are treated with respect. Friendly staff, great prices and delicious donuts. You have to be crazy to drive by. It is worth a day trip.

Delicious donuts here that are always made fresh and they are huge! Easy in and out . Staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are fair too.

2.2.25 This is one of those long overdue & well deserved reviews. I was here on election day 11.3.20 to try them for the first time. They did not disappoint at all. I was here a half hour before they closed and they were still very fresh. They were just about sold out but the slim pickings were fresh. The staff was very pleasant. This place started picking up and they were about to close. I was surprised to see this. I tried a few different donuts. The apple filled, apple crumb that was also apple filled, powdered jelly & boston cream. All of the donuts were filled plenty with their respective filings which was a delight to see for a change. Fresh, light & fluffy. Quality ingredients. The closer I looked, these donuts look like sandwich. Each that I studied looked like a sandwich filled with yummy goodness. It looks like they construct it as a sandwich which is kind of cool & different. The look of the place inside and out is a no frills plain generic look to it. Nothing wrong with that at all. Just saying. I don't need a place to look good. I only need a clean establishment with great food. I've been back here too many times to count since my first endeavor on an epic election day in 2020. They're doing everything right here. No problems at all. They keep you coming back for more.

stopped at Neil's Donuts before work this morning and i can't believe how busy it was so early in the morning! The staff is so quick and efficient and the whole place smells like sweets galore (as it should). Not only are the donuts are amazing, but all the donuts are packed with flavors and their toppings and yet so light and fluffy! And only $2 a donut? Most places would charge almost $4 for these types of donuts! Wherever you are in Connecticut, it is truly worth the trip!

Ask the Community - Neil's Donuts

If I call ahead to come by to pickup an order, can I do curbside pickup?

Yes curbside is available. We also have Uber eats in the Wallingford store and DoorDash in the Middletown location if that would help too

What time does one have to be there to get a coffee roll?

Everyday is completely different. Ever since the article about our coffee rolls it’s hard to keep up with demand. Some days they sell out early. Other days were throwing them out. It depends on social media. Everytime they release the story it goes… Read more

Can you call ahead to order donuts/bagels to be picked up at a specific time?

Yes in fact I recommend doing so

    How much is a donut?

    $49.95 plus tax.

    Do they sell gift certificates?

    Yes

    What's the prices?

Depends on what you are comparing to. Let's use DD. If you were buying a muffin, DD's are $1.79 and have a cake like texture. Neil's are like a muffin and larger. Danish you can't get anywhere except a bakery. Neil's are so huge it's ridiculous and… Read more

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

So far, I have only tried the one latte, the jasmine peach latte, which had peach puree, house made jasmine syrup, house made white tea cold foam and dried peaches. While their specialty drinks are only available small & medium, their sizes are 16 oz, 20 oz, 24 oz, so the small is actually the equivalent of some shops' large. A few of my foodie friends put me on game regarding this place that's about a 25-minute drive for me, but always so worth it. Here's why I love it so much! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set in the center of Wallingford a little off of the main drag of Center Street is this humble gem. You can park on the street for free if there's space or in the plaza parking lot right up the block from them. Once in the door you're welcomed by several smiling faces and that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! This place is predominately made for takeout. There are no physical tables, but you certainly can pop a squat on the benches near the back of the restaurant if you'd like. Service: There isn't necessarily table service since all you do is order at the counter and wait until your name is called, but the people there are so sweet, soft and will just make your day! They're also full of personality and their social media posts are super funny. Lol. Food: I've had several things from their menu here including the Backyard BBQ Sandwich, Savannah Wrap, Vegan BBQ Mac & Jack Bowl, The Hungry Slope, BCB, Roast Beef and more! These are some of the highest quality, made-with-love sandwiches, tastiest, creative sandwiches around! I just love how every several months they change the menu up introducing new flavors for the season so you never know what you're gonna get! Of course the favorites stay on the menu! Value: These sandwiches aren't cheap, but you have to pay for quality. Expect to spend between $11.00 and $15.00 here for a good meal. Then add on whatever else for drinks or sides, but it's worth it. In conclusion, I love this place, I just wish they were closer AND that they were opened on weekends, but they keep the hours tight to allow their employees to have lives. I give them even more respect for that! Check this place out soon!
