I tried to purchase a pair of pants online. They were out in my size. In store representative found them in San Diego and attempted to send the pants to me. LP stopped the transaction stating something did not match as far as my address and card which it does. I've had the same address over 5 years, my Amex matches my home address for billing and shipping purposes and Antonio, LP manager, and Chris, executive who I spoke with provided no explanation for why they would not honor my card. If I shopped online, they would allow my card and after speaking with Amex, they never attempted to charge anything. What a joke of their Loss prevention department and Chris, as an executive, you should be ashamed of yourself. Now I can drive from the valley to Beverly Hills just to verify it is me but it is not worth the poor humiliation from Chris and Antonio. I'm disappointed in this store and it's management team. I can shop online with no issues of verifying anything...and shop with other retailers. read more

This is the absolute WORST Neiman Marcus for customer service. I have been to many ones ( I love Newport, Honolulu, Woodland Hills) but the people who work the women's department are the rudest! For confidentiality purposes, I'm not going to name names, or elaborate on how, why, this trip to NM was necessary or how it fits into my sight seeing agenda. But some people found this experience to be LOLZ and one that will not soon be forgotten. I must preface this with one statement; it has been about 7 years since I last visited the NM store in San Francisco, so I am assuming nothing has changed in SF. While waiting on my friend, I decided it was a good time to take advantage of the luxury the Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus has to offer, so I took the escalator up to the top floor, men's department (I felt it was more appropriate), and asked a sales associate to point me to the men's room. This sales person, and 2 others who greeted me prior truly exemplified customer service. They probably knew I wasn't going to make a purchase, and they probably don't care. They greeted me in a friendly manner and was helpful in my needs. I make my way into the restroom and find a luxurious stall, well, luxurious by Nor-Cal department store standards. The door was well weighted and the lock was quite solid. This gives me a peace of mind when I'm sitting there, so vulnerable... The toilet seat looked like it was made of marble though it was not. I don't know what it was, but it was warm and comfortable. You don't have to leave the privacy of your stall only to stand there waiting for others to finish washing their hands while you're thinking; hurry the hell up damnit, because there is a full sink in the stall. *Borat impression* Niiiiiiiiiiice! There is also a bar on the top floor. That's a + right there. With all the service and amenities this store has to offer, I would definately go back. Too bad I'm just a Macy's customer. My second favorite of all department stores (Saks is numero uno!). You get all you favorite designers from Versace to Chanel to Cavalli to Prada,etc in one place. It's a candy store for adults! I love it and the service is impeccable! Also love the cafe because after a long day of shopping it's nice to relax, refresh and people watch. read more

The customer service here is so lacking. We were practically accosted by this lady trying to hand out perfume samples and when we didn't want to take a sample. We ended up asking where we go to pick up internet purchases and she said fourth floor, all the way up. We went all the way up, only to be directed back to the basement. On the way past her perfume table, she avoided all eye contact with us which made me almost certain she led us astray just to get us back for not accepting a sample. Kind of petty, and what a waste of my time. When I picked up the dress I had bought (finally!), I had to go three floors up again and had to grab a sales associate to find me a fitting room because everyone else just passed us by without offering to help. In a recent review I wrote about shopping for a formal gown in New Orleans. This was necessary because Neiman's decided to eliminate the dress department that had formal dresses for a reasonable price point. The only formal gowns they carry now are well over $3000.00 and up. I don't usually bother to get off on the couture floor. I'm amazed that Neiman's has decided to stop catering to what I see as the working woman between the ages of 35 and up who aren't rich. We are now priced out. They gave the space to Alice and Olivia. Really? The quality is comparable to Forever 21 with a $300.00 price tag. Totally disappointing! read more

On Tuesday, December 15th, I reached out to your store by calling the number they have provided online. The reason for my call was to verify that they would be open prior to my arrival, since I would be commuting from a very long distance. I was assured that the hours of operation during the holidays were until 8p.m. I was a bit reluctant and so I again went online and read that their regular store hours were different so again I contacted the telephone number that they have provided online and for a second time was reassured they would be opened in till 8p.m.. However, upon my arrival that was clearly not the case. I was beyond myself, how could a store of this caliber be so irresponsible to give me incorrect information? Not once but twice. I reached out to the store manager and she pushed me over to Newport Neiman Markus to rectify and clean up their mistake. Newport was very efficient however, I contacted Beverly Hills to give them the opportunity to make things right but instead was completely disregarded and disrespected. I know I know...TWO stars you ask? Well...unless you're a Rockefeller and have dough to burn, this is NOT the store for you. Has a lot of the same goodies as Saks and Barneys but they even go above and beyond those store with their designer wears and makeup. VERY pretentious AND they only except THEIR Neiman's card or Amex. At one point I didn't have Amex and was forced to get the damn Neiman's card because my mom wanted perfume and it was the only place I could find it. She was able to reissue the $100 perk card and I came into the store that day and was able to use it. Great customer service is so important and I really appreciate it when I see it. read more

My review is for the Bar on 4. Neiman's has a bar on the fourth floor of their Men's Department. The bar is a oval shaped and it's very open. They have tall leather stools that you can sit on, and this place is great for people watching, hooking up, etc. Best times to go are lunch time during the week or mid afternoons on the weekends just before dinner or an evening out. Each seat also comes with a small TV to check up on the stock ticker, ESPN, CNN, whatever you like. Just ask the bartender to control the channels to your preference. They also have a massive window that allows you an excellent view of the Century City skyline. The best view can be seen while there's still daylight. In the evening, the view is blocked by the interior lighting of the store. While you are there, should the need arise for you to use the restroom. Request to use the restroom in the Men's suits fitting room area. Hands down the best restroom I have ever used anywhere! For the record, I just needed to go numero uno, but just being in there convinced me to take a seat and enjoy the moment. You have fine fragrances waiting next to the faucet before you leave. For the record, numero uno didn't become numero dos. read more

I am not a regular here, but I came here to get my boyfriend his first designer tie for our anniversary. I went to the men's floor (top floor). They had a large selection, but nobody would help me. It was so snooty and frustrating, because I had a deeper pocket that day, as I wasn't shopping for myself. I found the tie that I loved and couldn't get anybody to let me PAY for the darn thing! When I finally got someone's attention, they rang me up, while simultaneously (well his attention was much more on the other woman) helping someone else, basically just ignoring me until I handed him the credit card! You would think that because Saks and Barney's are on the same street AND Armani (the tie I got) is across the street, they would try to get you to buy there instead with some customer service? This is the experience at NM beverly hills. The sale staffs are not really helpful. They are just eager to sell me something. They are nice when I purchased but they give a bad look I go for a return. While ago my bf brought me there to buy a balenciaga bag for my bday. The sale staff was very friendly and helpful. He didnt have the color I was looking for, so I went for the second color, but I didnt really like it. The next morning, I found out the balenciaga store has the color I wanted. So went to back to NM to return it right away. The friendly and helpful stFf who helped us was there. With a bad face. Didnt even say hi. After returning i said thank you but he didnt say a word. Today i went to return my bag that i bought online. Trust me, I usually keep the stuffs, its not like Im always returning. It was a smaller than I expected, however NM carried that brand online only, so I went to balenciaga and an old lady was working. She told me she cant do the return since there is no price tag, but only the barcode tag. No designer bag comes with price tag! I brought as it was shipped but she told me to go 4th floor for customer service. It was obvious that she just didnt want to do the return for me. So I had to go to 4th floor and asked the lady in customer service and she told me all they need is the barcode tag and of course I could have returned downstairs. NM sells higher quality stuffs than Nordstrom, but their staff service is way behind. They should have more staff training. I know you may not like when a customer comes for a return, but at least you should not make the customer unpleasant and uncomfortable. As you know all prices are the same in all department and if not, the do price match! Then why do you think the customers would choose certain stores? Its the customer service. And this is why I would not buy from NM anymore. read more

I actually always shop at Neiman Marcus and even have a credit card with them. During thanksgiving they had a gift card event so I decided to stay home and do my Christmas shopping online. I bought enough items to receive the $750 rewards but come January I was only sent $250. I called Neiman Marcus customer support number and explained to them my situation and the 1st lady I spoke to was sweet but couldn't help me, so I was transferred to the most rude manger ever. She explained to me that the reason I didn't receive the $750 is because the gifts I had purchased were returned by the individuals (but they were actually exchanged and the individuals actually spent more money at Neiman Marcus!!!) for example I purchased a smaller ysl purchase as a gift and my friend exchanged it for a bigger ysl purchase, which means she spent more money on top of what I had spent with Neiman Marcus!!!!!! This is not right! Neiman Marcus will never receive my business again, since they can't keep their end of promotions!!!!! On top of it the online support is different from the in store support, WHY?! While I love the clothes, shoes and accessories here, my review is about the customer service department. I went in to exchange something I bought online. I was specifically told by 2 different people that this should be done in customer service. So, I waited 15 minutes in line (and this was within 5 minutes of the store opening), when a woman we did not appear too happy asked for the next customer. I happened to be in a great mood that day so I happily walked up with a smile and told her I wanted t exchange my product. She did not smile, respond when I asked how she was, or even really make any eye contact with me. Instead she said "we don't do that." I asked her twice, what it is that they don't do, and she finally said they can't exchange online orders. Ok, no prob. So I asked what options I do have. She said I can only return it (still no smile or eye contact). I said ok, again, no prob. While she was working on it I asked how come the other people in the store seemed to think they could do the exchange. She finally made eye contact with me, but then rolled her eyes and again said "we don't do that." At that point I gave up. I took the receipt that she handed me without saying a word and walked away. I wouldn't really even expect such a rude and uninterested reception from a much lower end department store. I'm just glad I got my money back and will gladly buy the product from another store. read more

Disappointed in the lack of quality service, especially at such a prime location. When I approached the eyeglasses counter, I was completely ignored by the people working there. I was not greeted let alone granted eye contact. I had to intercept someone in order to get assistance. This happened to me during both times I was there on two different occasions (same counter). After having a discussion about the glasses I was interested in, I let the representative know that I will walk around for a few minutes in order to wait for a copy of my prescription to come in. When I returned, there was no one at the counter. I was not warned beforehand that this person would leave. I had to walk around the store until someone finally came back to the counter. I was being very polite and patient as I imagined other customers were getting helped. But, alas, I had to flag someone down again for assistance. This person barely gave me their attention and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by asking a question. I left without making the purchase that I was very eager to make. read more

You would think with all the money you spend in Neiman Marcus, that the customer service would be amazing. It's not. They were rude, not helpful, and undoubtedly racist. I was in store to pick up my order, that I was told was ready when I called beforehand, and was reassured they had the shoe I bought in the right size. When I drove an hour and half to get to this location, I was told that my shoes were not in stock. And instead of helping me with my order or trying to suggest me another style, they waved me off, and gave me a number to call that transferred me right back to the Beverly Hills location. I canceled my order and took my money elsewhere. I was getting the run around while all the other customers, not of color, were getting what they wanted, when they wanted, no matter how rude they were, whereas I kept my calm and cool persona. The customer service over the phone won them an extra star because they were great! read more

This is not a place that I shop often because their prices on clothing and shoes are outrageous. But they have the BEST cosmetic department ever. And the sales people are very, very nice--not snobbish as you might think. Lancome, Estee Lauder is the same price whether you come here or go to Macy's. And the attention they give you is the best. They will lead me to another line of cosmetic if they feel that it would suit me better. Because of that, I use about five different lines from Neiman Marcus and each of these lines is customed to me. They even told me I do not need concealer because my skin does not need it to save me money. And they do not try to force me to use the most expensive creams unless I wanted to. They're not pushy at all. No, I do not dress in my best attire when I go there. And there are a lot of shoppers there that are dressed casually. The sales people don't look you up and down to see if you can afford a $4,000.00+ handbag. Every once in a while, I'll splurge. But most of the rare time I come here is to window shop the lastest designer's trends and buy cosmetic from the most helpful beauty consultants. read more

Oh my gosh this was the first time I shopped in store and I had the luck of meeting such a kind helpful gentleman named Gabriel who was so helpful and carried my boxes and just wanted to make sure he could do anything to help me with nothing to gain. I ordered a wedding gift thru NM Beverly Hills website, expedited shipping. It was a special occasion & I splashed out thinking it would be top notch along with the name..... My order was placed on the Sunday 18th Feb[After some difficulties on the website] I received an email confirmation, stating I'd be getting a further email with tracking details. Here I am on Thursday 22nd, with no follow up tracking details. Tried to use the "Lets Chat", link from my confirmation email. Two attempts & a blank screen both tries made me move onto calling Customer service [At my expense may I add] They were able to track my package, which seemed to be circling around the Dallas area for the last few days. My questions to Customer service? Why can't I the customer see the tracking as promised? Why did I pay for expedited service? They said I could once it landed @ the destination? Kind of defeats the whole purpose of tracking? They are attempting to reimburse me for the shipping. Will believe that when I see it in my credit card statement. Honestly, I Could have ordered thru Amazon & had the same gift a lot cheaper & there in far less time & a lot less headache.... I recently wanted to return a gift I had purchased for someone else at Neiman Marcus and did not have my receipt. I did have my credit card bill and the line item on my bill that showed I made the purchase and which also had the reference number and date of purchase as well. Asking staff to retrieve the sale information in the system with the information I had provided with my credit card statement should have been sufficient and should not have caused an issue. I think Neman Marcus should review it's returns policy and better train its staff on how to process returns with information provided by a customer's credit card statement when the receipt is not readily available. read more
