I've been shopping at this Neiman Marcus for years. Yes, it is the mecca of all that is great but it can take an experence such as this to put a really bad taste in ones mouth. I had recived an e-mail from my sales lady in women's shoes about a handbag and shoe event. $50 gc when you spend $350 or more, 10.000 bonus points and a chance to win a pair of shoes. Ok yes this sounds like a good deal. The night before the event I saw Susan Buskirk. my sales lady she told me she would ring up my shoes that evening for me. I told her I didn't have my boyfriend credit card or information on hand. She quickly squashed that and got creative. Well I have his information I can ring them for you. I told her that since I don't work that my boyfriend and his book keeper keep a close watch on the finances. I said let me see if I can get him in. The next day we went and my boyfriend bought some gucci drivers and I went to scope out the event. We were greeted by cake balls and glasses of champane. We asked for susan and I explained to her what I was looking for. This summer I simply looking for a cute casual sandel to wear with dresses, shorts and skirts. I told her I had wide feet. Susan had helped me back in October with a pair of loubitians that were $750 and maybe she recalled that was an easy sale. First of all it was my Birthday and second of all I had been wanting the shoes for months. She showed me all the most expensive sandles not once listening to my needs. I went to the tory burch table and saw a cute flip flop and it was perfect. I told my boyfriend and they were perfect.. I saw susans look of discontent when the shoe wasn't $600. She got caddy and nosey what do you do she asked oh you don't work well would you like to work here. I am a very happy preston hollow social girl who work isn't something I need. Looks like Susan felt the need to try to make me feel bad because I wasn't spending more. My boyfriend when he went to pay and had a split payment. Again, not attention was paid. She was weird and akward. I was furious and called the next day to make this right. I spoke with a man Jason and he said he would get back with me...no follow up. I finally got a hold of Nancy Bear the mens manger who must hate her job! I guess $35,000 must suck huh? She decided there was simply nothing she could do. Ok Susan and Nancy look at the bigger picture.... Make a customer happy and know your client. There are good people there Martin and JD In mens. Regarding Perks card: The perks rewards expire! They can be reissued once, but have to be used within 30 days. When calling to reissue, it is a 15-30 phone call. Customer service did it for me once. On another occasion, I was dining in the restaurant, and the manager was never able to get the card reissued so that I could use it to pay for my meal. I ask him to give up after waiting 25 minutes on hold. #1 issue is that the perks rewards should NEVER expire!! It is dollars that I have earned!! They can only be used at Neimans, so it should not be a problem. And it certainly shouldn't be a big problem getting them reissued, and shouldn't be a time limit! Also, I have a beautiful leather skirt that I purchased in February that is too small, and never been worn. I have the receipt. I took it in to exchange or receive a store credit, they would do neither. Since it was an online order, and past 60 days, they would do absolutely nothing for me. I did not want a refund, I wanted to exchange or store credit. Hello! The money would still be spent at Neimans! I do not understand why they couldn't accommodate. After taxes the skirt was a 400.00 dollar skirt! I do understand why they changed their return policy, but it was unbelievable that there was absolutely no compromise. I spoke with two different managers, and customer service. Nieman Marcus used to be a special, upscale shop. They used to be all about customer service. Now, to me, there's not anything special about their customer service. I am reluctant to continue shopping with them just for that reason. read more

went to NM this past sunday... not intentionally but because it was on the way to our parking spot where we parked. on our way out saw a pair of TOMS shoes on sale and purchased it. at the time of purchase the guy checking us out asked "how are you paying?" and i said cash. sure enough guy tells me "GREAT!" walked up to the registrar and told me it was $51.87 so i pulled out a $100 bill. right off the back with out even checking with lights or pen or inks tells me "oops we dont take cash for sale items." and i was like "what?!" and the reply i got was "its because its our pre-summer sale... and we dont take cash for that." my reply was "buddy its about to fall..." my question was you just told me it was great to pay with cash and now you dont accept it???? bought the shoes anyways with a credit card... but will not be buying any more items there again... especially from MENS shoe department and from the guy who worked there on7/23/12 at 2:30 - 4:30 pm with glasses and tan sport coat !!!! read more

I use to absolutely love neimans! Until I bought a beautiful white Prada bag from here and the first day I wore it, the darn bag got blue jean stains on it?!?! Then when I took it to them telling them the problem they acted like it was my fault... And told me theirs nothing they can do... && all I wanted to know was how to clean it?! And the girl litterally said "Wow! thats too bad! theirs nothing we can do, sorry." So basically I spend $4,000 on a one time bag wear! Wow! At least you could have offered me some ideas on how to clean it or even try to clean it for me?! Prada service in neimans, I will never be back!
