Went there to browse at the Men's section. I was looking at moncler and balenciaga clothing when I heard a black sales rep saying loudly not to mess with those clothes. He was not looking at me directly when he said it but there was no one else there. Piss poor attitude is why they are going bankrupt. I have noticed this kind of attitude from most of the sales reps at Neiman Marcus. No more Neiman Marcus,, Hello Farfetch and Matches.com. I've been a devoted Neiman's customer and I'm sad to say they're a runaway train on a collision course with disaster. I really noticed the changes about halfway through last year. Whenever I go to buy anything from Lancome they're 100% sold out of every shade of powder, eyeshadow, concealer, lipgloss, eyeliner quite literally anything and everything I came all the way over to buy! Then I have to wait about a week and get it shipped to my house. Not to mention the new dreadful sales associates who work there, it's a revolving door of new people, none of whom even know what they have in stock, how many, what colors or anything of any particular importance! The reason behind this is because Neiman's foolish idea to change their merchandising system to the point they literally don't know what they even have and are begging their vendors to buy back excess inventory! Everyone who was good from Neiman's have left long ago. I was told by a former employee recently that she noticed a lot of her old Neiman's customers don't shop there nearly as much either. The only thing worth going there for now is the Mermaid Bar. Neiman's is on the brink of collapse being over $4.9 billion on debt. Add to the mix unhelpful sales associates, incorrect merchandising and protesting against Trump will have myself and the likes of waiting to be the first in line at the going out of business sale! I can't be objective about Neiman's. I grew up here. My mom's worked here for more than 30 years. I love the Zodiac for an upscale lunch; mostly filled with HP moms, so I stick out like a sore thumb. But their popovers and strawberry butter is awesome! Everyone loves the Tortilla soup @ the Mermaid, but I prefer the chili and sandwiches. If you buy a handbag ask for Audrey (my mom). In men's ask for J.D. or Cindy and you'll never look bad. read more

I had a very bad customer service experience with this business in Cosmetics in their Houston location when I first moved to Texas in 1996, and subsequently became an avid Saks and Nordstrom shopper. When I moved to Dallas last year, all my neighbors raved about how wonderful the selection and sales staff were in the the Neiman Marcus stores in Dallas. So out of desperation while looking for a really nice dress to wear to a wedding in CA this summer, I decided to give Neiman's another try. I found the selection to be lovely, the layout very pleasant and the sales staff very helpful (at least while you were making the purchase). I found a lovely Pucci dress as part of their pre-sale and it seemed to fit my needs and looked great. The day after I purchased the dress, I finally received the wedding invitation, only to find out that the event was actually "formal", which meant I needed to exchange the dress I purchased for a floor length dress. This is about when the customer service ends! I phoned the woman I purchased the dress from 3 times on her cell (which she provided) and the store phone, to say I would need to have the pre-sale dress returned and I need to find another. She never even bothered to return my call. I was prepared to simply find another dress and buy it in place of the one I had. The end result, was that I had to go to the store, return the dress I had never even taken possession of, since it was a pre-sale item. Other sales people offered to help and made the excuse that " it depends on who you work with at Neiman's as to the level of service you happen to get". My guess is that it really depends on how much they seem to think you will spend with them, will determine their level of service. Considering this is one of the most profitable NM in the entire country, you think they could hire sales associates that actually would want to approach you when selecting items in their dress section. First of all, a company should take pride in their merchandising appearance and utilitze real hangers versus the cheap plastic ones. In addition, the sales associate acted bothered when I inquired about getting a fitting room for all of my selections. Considering you can buy any of these labels at any other store, I would appreciate someone not having an attitude when being asked to do their job in the most simplistic form. read more

I have terribly mixed feelings about this place. I dont do a lot of up-scale shopping but when I do, I always go here for their reliable, knowledgable sales reps. They're all friendly enough, although some are painfully snobby. This location is large enough for a good selection in pretty much every department. There's no other store in the area (or online) with comparable brands or quality. The problems have occurred when returning an in-store purchase and when ordering online. I truly, truly hate this location and brace myself every time I come in for awful customer service. I have never been to a store where the employees are CONSISTENTLY unpleasant and unhelpful. Unfortunately, I love the selection so I do come in somewhat frequently, but I've only had a couple good interactions with sales associates. The shoe department is the WORST- trying to track down someone to help you out is a challenge. I've also had poor experiences in women's clothing. The employees are simply not pleasant. read more

Neiman Marcus makes my inner diva giddy with excitement! Whenever I need something trendy and overpriced, Neiman Marcus is my go to spot! I may not leave there and spend less that $150 but damnit, I do leave happy! And the sales staff is always so friendly! Probably because they get commission. I am ALWAYS impressed with Neiman Marcus! The customer service I receive here is ALWAYS on point and the staff is generally very friendly. Sometimes I am there to SHOP, sometimes I am there to drool, and sometimes I am there for lunch with girlfriends! Great little lunch spot with your girlfriends and some shopping! I appreciate high end, luxury items.....although my wallet doesn't appreciate them as much as I do, I still LOVE the luxury brands and will always be a Neiman Marcus shopper!! Excellent customer service, great quality clothes, but wish it were more current with global trends and less Dallas trends (aka 3 years behind)... Not that there aren't current options. They sale these high end purses and wallets that are not good quality and when you try to exchange them, they throw this new return policy in your face, Neiman Marcus would be a better store if they stood behind their product. This is an awesome store to get things elsewhere but it sure doesn't beat the downtown store. There is no Chanel here ind the Louis Vuitton is the same store in the mall if not less selection. They have just as big as attitude problem as they do at their other stores but if you want real customer service wonderful things and occasionally be look down on you probably should go to the downtown Dallas flagship store. read more

I've eaten there several times while living in Dallas. The food is always tops. We ate the Saturday before Easter and I expected a larger crowd. Service was prompt and thorough. The filet was larger than I'd had before and the gelato dessert extra good and better than ice cream. Always the popovers are perfectly cooked. And the chicken broth at the beginning of the meal is an important asset. I had my birthday party there for 6 of us and everyone was happy over their meal and service. You can't go wrong here. Let me just tell you, I have never in my life been disregarded by employees working for commission until now! Perhaps they showed no interest because of my workout clothes and no make-up. Next time, I guess I will have to walk-in waving my American Express Centurion. It's important to treat all of your walk-in as potential customer. Highly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The lady that works at one of the store that has short white hair and wears glasses is a bitch. I was sitting down, waiting on my fiancé. A lady came in and asked where the bathroom was, and she kept giving her an attitude. She couldn't find the bathroom and the worker said "it's an opening to your right" all rude and mean. The store and check out experiences themselves were perfectly pleasant, but the service I received from floor person Juan was negative enough for this review. Someone of such a personality should not be employed by a high end retail store. The interaction I had with him made be feel almost dehumanized, like I wasn't worth being in his store. Came in to return a Prada tote I purchased online. The sales associate seemed unfriendly and I felt as if I was wasting her time even though there were literally five sales associates standing in that section doing nothing. I may not be wealthy but I still earn twice her salary I'm sure so don't know why she has to act so snobby. No wonder I prefer shopping online than going into this store. read more

The atmosphere is very shallow and cheap. If you like loud and trashy music playing while looking at a minimal selection of boring fashion, then this is your place! We are very disappointed in the Neimans cafe! My mother has been coming to Dallas for over 45 years and eating the Duke of Windsor sandwich at the Neimans cafe. She would plan her schedule around going to Northpark mall and eating at lunch Neimans. We started to notice the sandwich didn't taste the same. We finally asked a waitress who has been there many years and she said they changed the machine used to make the sandwich and now use a toaster type oven on the counter. Sad to see such a commodity go to waste. We have not been back to that Neimans in over a year!!! read more

Neiman Marcus is not a place I usually frequent on my modest teacher's salary. However, the cafe on the third floor is a nice place to play pretend-I'm-a-rich-b on a weekday lunchtime. They have a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, and entrees - typical cafe food. A little pricey (a salad is around $15-$19), but hey, it's Neiman's. Service is good, and I love the popovers and chicken broth they serve you before the meal. I had their Bistro Salad with apples and dried fruits, which looked delicious on the menu, but was underwhelming. I tried the crab cake sandwich, served with shoestring fries. Delicious, but not as healthy (they put nutrition facts on the menu too). The scallops entree had deliciously tender scallops, but the pasta was a little oily and tasted like typical "Italian"-style pasta. Desserts are on the sweet side, even for someone like me. Although the food wasn't super-awesome, the service was. Hester was awesome and friendly, and even brought up some red velvet cake on the house for my bf's birthday. I'd go back if I desired feeling like part of high society, but otherwise this wouldn't be a place I'd go back to too often. read more

Oh my, I can make this short and sweet! Great food! Great perfume! Great dresses! Great makeup! My friends and I were here for 3 hours and as always will be back.
