I was really craving frozen yogurt, and as we don't have any froyo places near where I live, I decided to give Menchie's a try after finding them online and seeing that they offered a sugar free very vanilla flavor and fresh sliced bananas. I walked into the store around 12:30ish or so on a Thursday. There were no employees around, but I could hear someone talking in the back. I stood at the counter for a few minutes because I didn't know what to do. No one came, so I walked out. My husband said he'd go in with me since he knew how much I really wanted frozen yogurt. By that time a mom with her kids had come in so I was going to copy what they did. However, I couldn't find the sugar free vanilla option anywhere despite their website advertising it. In fact, there weren't many flavors at all and especially not sugar free options as their online menu suggests. There were no bananas on offer either. The floor had kid's toys all over, and I kept accidentally kicking them. Finally a man came out from the back and started picking up the toys. He could see that I clearly didn't know what I was doing and that I couldn't find what I was after, but he didn't bother to ask if I needed help. I ended up just putting my yogurt cup back and leaving without any frozen yogurt. I was so disappointed that I'd didn't get my frozen yogurt. Nearly every visit, 2-4 flavors are out of order, there's only one staff member who is either disengaged or rude, and there's nowhere to sit. Today was especially bad: it was 86° inside despite the heat outside, none of the advertised seasonal flavors were working, and two machines were literally covered with giant, tacky signs to hide the fact that they were broken. All that was left were a handful of unappealing sugar-free options. My kids love Menchie's, so I gave this place multiple chances--but I'm done. I brought my daughter and her 5 friends here on a Friday night after her birthday party at an escape room nearby for birthday yogurt. We arrived at 8:10 pm. At 8:20 pm the employees announced to the FULL establishment that they close at 8:00 and everyone had to leave. Several customers pointed out that the sign on the door said it closes at 9:00 pm on Friday. The employees said that the sign and the website are wrong and they close at 8:00. My daughter and her friends had to stand on the curb eating their frozen yogurt while waiting for their parents to pick them up. Menchie's definitely lost my repeat business and also the business of those they turned away. If they truly close at 8 pm on Fridays, they need to fix their sign and the website. read more

Their chocolate flavors are consistently super yummy, while it's best to sample their other creamy sweet flavors (like cheesecake, cake batter, vanilla) before loading your cup! They have some vegan and sugar-free options which is pretty neat. Besides having hand sanitizer available, COVID precautions have faded: the toppings bar is back and running with the little tongs (instead of pre packed portions), and inside seating is available. I love being able to get as much or little toppings as I want-- cookie dough, frosted animal crackers, OREOs, and mochi bites are my jam! The topping bar is extensive albeit can get messy after the little ones reign havoc. ^_^" If you're thirsty, you'll have buy water bottles for $1.50 each so BYOB (of water, silly). Because I am lactose intolerant, I was, of course, looking for the flavors that did not contain milk to my surprise, there were four flavors wish that rarely ever happens... It was a milk and cookies types flavor, a orange and pineapple, a mango and then something else I do not remember but I think it had chocolate in it and I do not like chocolate so....... LOL I digress... the orange and pineapple was just Divine! I mean, like, really really delicious. So I chose that and then a little slither of the mango which was really nice as well. Be careful in parking at the garage unless you want to risk getting towed. The overall flavors available in this Menchie's were a bit boring to me. It had the typical, vanilla, original tart, chocolate, cake batter from what I remember. Nothing too special or unique. There were also two machines out of order which meant two less options. Customer service doesn't necessarily exists. No "Welcome to menchies" or "hello". The only cool thing about this place is every Monday I believe 7-9pm, there is a $5 special and if you check-in on yelp, there is a 10% discount. Yogurt is priced by weight, so the more you add the more you pay. Once you get your yogurt then head to the toppings bar and add what you want. Remember you are paying by weight. Flavors range from birthday cake, iced coffee, crisp mint, cookie dough, tart, chocolate, vanilla, etc. you can log on to the Menchies app or website to see what's on tap. The other night I was leaving work late after busting my booty all day and sped my way over to this shop. I pulled up out front at 7:54pm. Parked right in front and jumped out of my car. There were probably 5-6 people inside the shop. But as soon as I locked eyes with the young lady working there, she immediately went toward the door, met me there and locked it right in front of my face. She was looking me directly in the eyes as she locked the door in my face. I showed her my phone. It was 7:55pm. She did not care. I was extremely disappointed in the service she gave me. I used to love Menchie's and went quite frequently. This visit reminded me as to why I stopped coming. We originally came for the Jolly Rancher flavored fro-yo for my kiddo, but it was no where to be found. Apparently they advertise it, but don't offer it. After selecting our fro-yo, we found that it melted rather quickly. Faster than what we were used to. Within 5 minutes, it was just mush in the cup. It wasn't hot inside the establishment either, so maybe the fro-yo temperature wasn't correct. Who knows. read more

But my experience today is a good example why I'll never go back there again. 4 of the machines (about half) were not functioning. After asking the lady working the counter, she was able to get a couple working after hitting a few buttons and telling us to wait a few minutes. Why do we always need to ask the staff to ensure there is yogurt? At least this time the lady wasn't on her phone. The last few times the girl working the desk had headphones in and was talking to someone on the phone, not paying attention to the customers. So at least that was a plus this time! The place was a mess. Yogurt all over the tables and the floor. Had to find the least messy table and cleaned it myself. We paid $9 for three tiny servings. This is typically about $3 worth of yogurt (remember, I have been here about 50 times so I'm not a novice). I asked her if that seems right, and she said she didn't know and was unsure how to check the scale.
