This review is based on my service and experience, not what I ordered. I give my order full stars! As a fanatic of acai bowls I like trying different places that have them. Recently on Pinterest I found out they are packed full of sugar and calories, good sugar but nevertheless SUGAR, like type 2 diabetes sugar. I was reading about Pitaya and how the sugar content and calories are less but it is still packed with taste and antioxidants. I found Nektar in a yelp search of Pitaya. When I got there the line wasn't too long. I got the regular Pitaya bowl and my friend got a smoothie. I signed my debit card receipt and took mine, which I rarely do but I figured they call a number or something. It took almost 10 minutes for the smoothie. Then we were waiting for mine. My friend asked what time I had ordered it because it had been well over 15 mins and we were 3rd in line when we got there. I looked down and saw my receipt said $115 !!!!!! I must have been pale and red with anger. So I showed the girl and she said "oh whoops" no sorry, nothing. The lead came over to fix it. No apology from him either. I asked for his name and he asked why? I told him in case it didn't reverse the charge and I needed to come back in. He said, "it will reverse" so again I had to ask his name. Finally got my hot pink Pitaya bowl. Ask for light granola. It is a lot. Really yummy. I'm really upset because I almost threw away my receipt or didn't take it. Make sure you double check. Slow as hell and they don't care! Rude service. Came back in a week later with another friend so she could try the super fruit. I noticed last time that if you checked in on fb you get 10% off and a free water. So I wrote something on fb, tagged her, and tagged Nektar. Showed the girl and she said ok, once again I should have looked. No discount afternI ran my card. She said there was nothing she could do about it. I really hope management reads this. I know I'm not the only person who has been thru these problems. My friends all want to yelp the same thing. Hopefully they fix these issues. read more

I've come here before and knew there was a wait for the food as they make it fresh but today was beyond long. Only 4 other people besides me waiting and 3 people making orders. If you do the math only 2 should be waiting for a reasonable amount of time. Instead all 5 of us waited a good hour and a half before one noble man asked where our orders where. they realized our tickets were stuck in the machine. They made double orders for some and forgot about some altogether. One worker blamed it on the system as being f***ed. He said he got me covered and would get it on the way, like he was doing me a favor. That's what should have been done to begin with. Way below satisfied. I even paid extra for almond butter to be added. They forgot. They offered to redo it but I was not interested in waiting another hour and a half. read more

As an athlete, especially in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, I had been introduce to some amazing acai bowls. The richness in purple with its array of toppings. Well, the bowl I had here wasn't quite dark in purple. It looked and tasted more like a smoothie. Flavors were bland even with the fruits. Having my share of acai bowls, you want a thicker consistency and this spot just didn't cut it for me. read more

The last few visits this store was filthy. The quality of smoothies has also gone down as if you're using fruits that aren't ripe and not sweet at all. Please pay attention to your cleanup at night because it is not appetizing to see dirty cutting boards and the glass splash/sneeze guard filthy with dried out bits of vegetables on them. I really hope you turn your shop around because I would like to continue to get my morning shakes there but not until things get cleaned up and quality of produce improves. read more

ok, i know why this place doesn't have the greatest reviews. We got the "Glow" juice and jeez louise, it was a side of veggies and a TON of Cayenne Pepper! The drink was crazy spicy and more on the red side. Holy Cow. But we did purchase a few "Clense" kits and I just finished my first "Clense" and I have to say, not too shabby. My first time Juicing it up. That's why they got the 3 stars. They got 3 stars for drinks they didn't even put together, lol. Seriously, these guys need to get it together and make their drinks with more care. I've had juices before with cayenne pepper, and it's not supposed to overwhelm the drink. I was addicted to the Popeye smoothie. Then I go on the Whole30.com & can't have agave, didn't realize it's in their drinks & homemade Cashew milk. Not sure if they use carrageenan. This was an amazing experience. I was helped by a young lady named Sarah. I had never been to Nektar before and she helped me out so much. She recommended a smoothie after my first choice was temporarily out of watermelon until their delivery arrived. She then came over to me, explained the situation, asked me how my day was, and made a recommendation that I was more than satisfied with. Even though I never met this person before, she made me feel like I had known her my whole life. Then when my smoothie was ready, she called me by name. I must re review this location! The owners must've heard our cries for better service! I've been back quite a few times because though, the customer service was awful the drinks were undeniable. However, with that being said, the service has drastically picked up. The last 3-4 times I've been in, the girls have been much nicer and friendlier! So now, great drinks and friendly service! I ordered an açai bowl here, not only did someone begin taking my order then rudely just walk away with no explanation the next person took a long period of time to understand that I did not want any banana. Then I waited 15 minutes for my pool once I receive my bowl it was missing over. Half the toppings it supposed to come on. They also tried to charge me an extra dollar for not wanting bananas. There were about 3 people waiting for their orders when I walked in and no one in line. They took so long to make my smoothie. I've never seen such slow service at Nekter before. Very disappointed with my visit to Nekter on this Sunday afternoon. They were not very busy. I went with my cousin who is a regular there. She normally orders the mango açaí bowl and substitutes the coconut flakes for extra granola. They cashier (Leigh? I think) told us that would be a $1 extra. My other cousin tried to substitute pineapples for extra strawberries and she still wouldn't let us do that without being charged. We've done that all the time and have never been charged extra. cashier told us she's just following the rules, and that's completely fine. We'll pay the extra dollar no big deal. So 3 of us ordered the same thing and I guess they just made one batch of the same açaí base bc the amount of base each bowl was laughable. Didn't even fill half the bowl and normally when I go the top is filled to the brim. We also heard the cashier tell her other co workers about us asking for substitutes and not trying to be charged. So not only did she talk about us out in the open, she deliberately gave us less than everyone else. I attached a photo to show how the bowl didn't even go to the top like it normally does with a comparison of my bowl from another day to show the comparison of how little we received. The acai bowls here are delicious, but you probably already knew that :P I get the banana berry, and it's very yummy AND filling! You could definitely eat it as healthy lunch. However, I feel like $7 is overpriced for what it is. Delicious, but overpriced. Other than that, this place is way out of my league, health-wise. My friend loves the greenie drink here but it makes me gag. So to each his/her own! read more

Ide take one of these shops were I live. Very good quality and variety. They have pre made juices for purchase and have juicing packs too.

There was already a long line walking into the store. On top of that, the cashier had some friends come after about eight orders have been placed and what do you know... they get their order like instantaneously as they were all smirking and giggling. This place is one that I wish I would have never gone into to. The acai bowls are the worst I've ever had, it almost has a paste like texture. I usually like honey on my acai bowls which they don't have and that's okay but the look I got from the employees wasn't okay. Nektar is located near Imperial & Kraemer in the shopping center northwest of the intersection. Their acai bowls are super tasty and enormous. I get the PB bowl that has peanut butter in the blend. I learned to divide the bowl in half and saw the other half for later. It's enough for two people. I've tried both of the protein drinks, vanilla protein and the post workout blend, and preferred the taste of the vanilla. I bought 2 vanilla proteins to bring home but they do have an expiration of a couple days so you gotta use them quickly. read more

I go to Nekter only for my occasional craving of Pink Flamingo. Other than that, this place is on the rather expensive side.

Good stuff...I don't really have a whole lot of experience with juice bar types of places but the smoothies we got were a decent price (still expensive but could be worse) and tasty...I love that they are not super sweet. I will definitely be going back to try more. read more

If this was purly based on the food/juices it is GREAT! but the staff here is just not friendly. i come here probably every other week & it is always the same. Waiting there while the girls just talk. when i ask for an extra bowl for my daughter they act as if i am cheating them. This place is archaically slow. Sitting here as we speak with 15 others waiting for our drink. It's been 20 minutes and I'm not the only one whose gone up to the register to ask if ours is still in the queue. After scouring through tickets, they just say "it's coming soon" but ask what we ordered and I can see that they are just not starting to make it. read more

Absolutely love Nekter juice! I did there 5 day advanced juice cleanse recently and made it through with no problems what so ever. The staff member who helped me was extremely knowledgeable about the cleanses seeing I had never done one before. After visiting a few different Nekter locations, this is definitely my favorite! I can always count on whatever I order tasting and looking the same way each time. I wish I could afford to go here more often! The staff is pretty friendly and usually when I go I never have to wait too long. I don't mind waiting though I usually can listen to their music or relax for a few minutes. My favorite thing there is most definitely the Toxin Flush, followed closely by the acai berry bowl. read more

Small location within a good shopping center! If you haven't already ditched Jamba Juice for Nekter.. You should! I always get smoothies but there cleanse also looks really good.
