Friendly & Chill Service *Definitely love how welcoming and helpful they are about their menu items. *You don't feel odd or stupid if you're new to the juices and juice cleanses. I don't miss that from the LA vibe haha. 2. Quality of Ingredients *All their green juices are delicious. It doesn't taste like straight wheat grass or bitter. We stopped in for a couple of juices and once we both saw the Toxin Flush, we decided to get the 32 ouncer! The juice was quite tasty and had a fantastic ginger bite at the end of each sip! The balance of apple to the other ingredients made for a pleasant drink that didn't have a hint of excess sweetness in it - Many thanks to the staff for making it so tasty! Nektar juice bar is pretty good! I for sure like them better than jamba juice, but it's also not as good as your little mom and pop shop. Delicious and fresh. Perfect for a hot summer day or breakfast on the go. If your in a hurry you might want to skip it. Each order is made fresh and that takes time. No one seems to be in a hurry of any kind. Luckily we time to kill and a sunny table outside. We got the orange crush and pink flamingo. The kids enjoyed them, but weren't overly impressed. I had the toxin flush my first visit here and I'm not used to drinking bitter things so the drink honestly tasted disgusting to me and left an awful taste in my mouth, I ended up throwing it away and getting the "pink flamingo" and that was much better tasting, still not my kind of drink. I came in the other day and got an acai bowl instead and it was a 5 star acai bowl. The fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe and the blueberries were really sweet, I say this because at other acai places the fruit can be sour tasting. I love this place! When I go, I usually get the acai bowls or any smoothies since I am not a huge juice person. There is nothing I have ordered that I did not like. I love their berry banana acai bowl. They have gluten free and vegan options as well so you can customize for whatever you'd like. Awful customer service from some of the ladies at this location. Nektars juice isn't organic and considering the price it should be!! I decided to branch off after the way I was treated, and found choice juicery. Nekter stole the idea of the mint chocolate chip smoothie from them and it's 10x better at choice. Plus if anyone at choice messes up on a drink or order, they go out of their way to make it up to you offering you a free drink or remake etc. while at nekter of encinitas you won't see that kind of treatment at all. read more

Real green juice here! Been in the area almost a week. I've been going to different juice bars for a good green juice. So happy I found a place that knows how to make one. Cleanses will run about $40 a day for 6 bottles. From my experience the produce itself is $15 a day or more. So this is a great way to cleanse if you don't have much time or you wanna spend your time elsewhere. read more

Sadly, I had to change my review. I went there today and though everyone was nice as usual the smoothies were not good. There seems to be a problem with consistency in taste depending on who makes the smoothies. I ordered a 24oz Popeyes Acai, which I have ordered several times before, and it tasted like nothing. I couldn't tell if they put too much ice or the fruit wasn't ripe but it was not good. I drove off but was so unhappy I actually turned around to ask them to remake it or make something different. I got back to the store and told the girl who made my drink. She was nice but said she made the drink exactly as the recipe says. I asked for a Date Nut instead since I was in the mood for something sweet. She made the Date Nut but to my disappointment it also did not taste the same as I have had in the past. Rather then ask for anything else I just left. The 3 stars are for the service but my smoothies today earned a solid 1 star :( read more

I don't know what the deal is but I went here today (which is Labor Day) and have never experienced such a rude employee. Don't get me wrong, I understand that everyone has a bad day here and there. But that doesn't mean it's ok to be rude to every customer that walks in. I've never been to a nektar where the employees weren't welcoming and nice. But the second I walked in, one of the girls working looked me up and down with a death stare. And I saw her do it to every other customer that walked in. I walked up to the register and she didn't even say anything like "welcome in! I'll be with you in just a sec!". Just silence. And I stood there for about 5 minutes, which I'm fine with but at least acknowledge my existence ya know? And then when she came to the register she just stared at me and didn't even ask me what I wanted. So I told her my order and she just says "$8.00" or however much it was and walked away to work on orders. She didn't even ask me if I wanted a receipt and I was too scared to ask for it because I didn't want to experience anymore awkwardness. But it really bummed me out and kind of ruined my day. I feel bad for her if there was something going on in her life but I also am really frustrated that she let whatever is going on in her personal life affect the way she serves customers. read more

Another average smoothie place in Encinitas. The smoothies are made more refreshing and drinkable when orange juice is substituted for the coconut water or nut milk that is usually used. Do this with the Mango Delight and it really shines. The real rating is 2 and a half stars. read more

I work in the plaza so I go to Nekter on my breaks sometimes. I always get an Açaí bowl (either peanut butter or mango) the bowl is always good, but honestly vitality bowls is way better you get way more food for your money and the bowl just tastes better. However, I wouldn't write off Nekter, it's still a decent little place and i go there because I like eating healthy. I will say the guy with the ponytail really needs to work faster though and not get distracted because sometimes he takes way to long! read more

Wonderful first time experience! I've been nervous to purchase a pre-made juice cleanse, but have heard good things about Nekter and the price is right, compared to other vendors. The website is easy to use, and telephone customer service is great. I ordered a two day Classic Cleanse. When I went into the store to pick up my cleanse the girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The manager, who I spoke with over the phone earlier in the day was extremely friendly and helpful as well. I'm a little more than half a day through my 2 day cleanse and so far so good! So this morning I had to take my husband over to Discount Tires to drop off his car on our way to work and we decided to stop by and grab a juice. BIG MISTAKE!!! We walked in the door at 8:25am and didn't even walk out the door with our juices until 9:06pm...... 41 MINUTES LATER!!!!! There was only 1 person in front of us to be rang up when we got there and it took 5 minutes before they even came up to greet either of us. There was only 2 people working and they were obviously majorly understaffed! I'm not sure if this is normal for this location to only have 2 people working at this time, but the lack of service and extremely long wait time is unacceptable! The second time the cashier was having a conversation with her co-worker when I walked up to the counter and I stood there in stared at her for a couple minutes.
