We were having a craving for something sweet and since we were shopping at this shopping center/mall, this was our choice. It's a typical frozen yogurt spot with many choices of flavors. What sets them apart is the quality of flavors, fresh fruit toppings and other yummy toppings. There were actually strawberries dipped in chocolate as well. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They keep this place well organized and clean. I got original tart, caffe latte and reese's. My husband got cafe late, reese's and pecan praline. Every single flavor was perfectly made. It's your typical frozen yogurt place, but Menchie's has an atypically large number of yogurt flavor choices as well as toppings. I find the place to be consistently busy which may contribute to it always appearing disheveled. I also find it odd that they only have one size cup which I understand allows a customer to fill with as much or as little as they like, but it seems wasteful in that a child may not need such a large cup. Their plastic spoons are especially think and colorful, but again seem to use more plastic than needed. All trash ends up in the same receptacles so it makes me believe there is no recycling in place and that Menchies produces more trash/waste than needed. read more

It's a small location and can get a bit cramped when it's filled with ankle biters, but you'll get by ok. Prices by the ounce are lower than at some other locations. I have not been to a Menchies in a while and on this hot day I wanted frozen yogurt.There are 2 different cup sizes I got the smaller of the 2 and what I feel is a normal amount of yogurt and toppings. When I checked out the cost was $15!!! For a medium size cup of yougurt!!! I was shocked. I had a credit on my acct for $5 and still payed $11 with tax. I am shocked so shocked. I love menchies! My favorite frozen yogurt place, from what I've seen they have way more toppings and a better selection of yogurt than anywhere else. I usually go for a fruity yogurt which they always have a lot of, and they are always so good. There's little sample cups you can get to try out the flavors before choosing, it's great! The toppings....yum, there's so many to choose from. Nuts, candies, and tons of fresh fruit. They even had mini gummy bears, I've never seen that before! All the fruit is always so fresh and great tasting. I love getting the mango, kiwis, and strawberries. Recently when I came they also had chocolate covered cherries, perfect topping! The staff is always so friendly and the vibe in here in very welcoming. They also have waffle cones, and I've even seen flavored Chapstick by the register. Our closest froyo-- we love it! They have fun specials--$5 happy hours and rewards program. The location is perfect; we stop by a couple days a week. One confusing thing: the calorie counts are listed next to each flavor, however, some are noted calories/4 oz and some are calories/1 oz. it's a little misleading because in some cases it appears the calorie count is lower but it is not. So, if you are watching your calories, look closely at the different calculations. read more

It's very dirty, sauce containers were dirty and some not turned on. Toppings had barely anything in each metal bowl and the dry toppings were all over the counter. Not all machines had yogurt and a napkin was taped to a machine saying cash only. this place used to be clean and nice and it was so dirty I am not coming back. read more

Typical Menchies Frozen Yogurt. Newly opened to this shopping center. Parking can be a little crazy on busy days, but you can walk around and check out other stores around. They have lots of different flavors here and they rotate them periodically. They have a TON of different toppings. Better than most other places. They charge by wt no matter what you get. I got the sorbet today and it was perfect because it was so hot out. It melts semi quickly and is watery when it melts. Staff is extremely friendly and there to answer any questions. Register your phone number with them for future visits to get points towards a free frozen yogurt. Great place to cool off on a hot day of shopping. read more

I love this place. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like a kid. It's bright and cheery and colorful. It just feels good in there. They have amazing flavors, see my pics. Everything is Branded too. Right now they are promoting Ice Age series, Scrats favorite like Vanilla Chill or Sid's Chocolate. The peanut butter tastes like a scoop out of the jar. Oreo cookie is good too. All of the toppings are, Reeses, or Kit Kat, Thin mint (all name brand) Lots of gluten free and a few no sugar added. This will now be my go to spot instead of Golden Spoon. Menchie's- yaye!!!! I love this fairly new location. I am super happy that they are poppin' up everywhere! Fro-yo always puts a smile on my face! How can that Swirl Head Happy Face not! I love that they have Pineapple Dole whip as an option now which is hard to find unless you're at Disneyland- They seem to be consistent always keeping Chocolate and Strawberry as staples- which is a must at all yogurt shops, but you'd be surprised on how some other shops don't always do. They try to hype up other exotic flavors and lose the simplicity of whats just straight out everyone's all time favorites. 2 mix & match flavors that go good with all kinds of flavor combos! Here are some of my go-to's- peanut butter, salted caramel, regular tart and chocolate mint. They offer an assortment of topping choices -crushed candy bars & cookies/ fresh fruits/cereals- my all time favorite Strawberry Bubble like thingys that pop in your mouth and don't forget the waffle chips. I love me some frozen yogurt! We came here on the day of the grand opening- literally in line when they opened because the husband needed his sweet treat ASAP! I like the location here in La Costa central in brand-new shopping center. The store is a bit smaller than some other Menchie's I've been to so it made it tough when you let in a huge crowd of eager kids and their moms/dads/grandparents/pets (yes pets) all in to get ice cream at the same time. Lots of flavors and toppings to choose from- you can't go boring here!! Fresh fruit, candies, syrups you name it! Might I add the parking here is great. Huge parking lot and a row right up front. Only reason I didn't give it a full 5 star is because there isn't much room to sit inside and outside only offers two tables.
