Big shout out to the two ladies working there Sunday (4/11/22) morning. Lots of orders coming in (walk ins and app orders) and they were working very hard to keep up. Two Protein acai bowl and a Popeye smoothie were made very well and as described on the menu board. I was ordering and the employee helping me out was wearing gloves. He took my credit card and completed my transaction. Right after I ordered he proceeded to take the next customer's order and again took their credit card and swiped it. The employee then proceeded to continue making smoothies and other orders w the same set of gloves. He didn't even wash hands or change gloves before making the orders. Who knows how many other transactions took place with those same set of gloves. Where is the sanitary protocol? Of washing hands after handling the cash register. read more

This is my third update to this establishment. I am not a happy customer. I ordered an acai bowl from an associate named Miguel G. The order came out surprisingly fast, but two bites into it, I discovered a hair. I alerted Miguel who apologized and said that he would make me an new one. The new one arrived even more quickly than the first, but again another hair!!! I then alerted Miguel and he said he would give me a refund. I inquired how they make their acai bowls and he said they are just blended up fruit and said rudely "Not one of their associates have hair like that" pointing to the hair in the bowl. Terrible service. Ordered and waited 20 minutes then when the person behind me got their drink first, was told "sorry, your ticket got out of order, making it now." Okay, I get it, but then while making my order, why are you walking into the back room to talk to the other guy?? I'm editing my star review after going back multiple times. First- juice is still yummy and cheap so thumbs up for that. However, learning the juice isn't technically organic is a huge drawback. Also service is SO hit or miss. Half the time i go in there I swear all the employees are high, and high school age, with high school attitudes. Where's the consistency? Its good for taste, but i'm starting to think it's worth the higher price to go to Whole Foods and get a quality beverage with better service. read more

Nektar juice bar is perfect This location is located in an Encinitas shopping center near my fav Vegan/Veggie spot (Native Foods). The staff was cheerful and helpful as I usually ask questions about the different blends. This morning I came in for a green juice but left with a what's called, "The Buzz"! Nice location with healthy option, but not my personal taste. I ordered the PB Health Nut smoothie and thought I was extremely watery. My friend agreed his drink was as well. I haven't tried anything else on the menu and plan to try something new. read more

Just opened 2 weeks ago, another juice bar. No worries. You can never have enough juice. Apparently a chain establishment this place is clean, simple and has deals such as bring receipt back after 2:00 and get $2 off another smoothy. Or buy a sturdy 16oz sippie cup for $9.99 and get it filled with the drink of your choice, which is what I did since I dropped my other one last night, cracking it in half. One of those nights. I got the Tropical drink with banana, pineapple and other good stuff. Comes out green but tastes like yellow and orange. Stop by here late Tuesday afternoon to check this place out. It is an intimate place with simple layout and an interesting healthy menu with Juice like the Greenie, Toxin flush, the little beet, the sublime, or Smoothie like berry banana burst, popeye's Acari, healthy nut, date nut, pink flamingo, or four kind of Acai bowels. Price is about $5.50 16oz, $7.50 24oz, $9.50 32oz. The staffs were friendly and they took time to explain each one to me and made suggestion for the first timer. I learned about their cleanse program. They also have a 32oz tumbler that you can order for $9.95, which will give you a 16oz free drink and $.50 off for every future order. You can also check in with their iPhone app and accumulate points to get a free drink. Pretty cool! I ended up getting a 24oz Greenie because I felt like I needed some cleanse in my system. They suggested to put it in a 32oz cup to add extra ice so I could get the full 24oz of the natural green goodie!! The sip was refreshing and energizing!! I will certainly consider coming back more and may sign up for the cleanse program ($40 per day with 6 bottles of different blends of natural goodness). Nekter is delicious and nutritious! Their drinks come out great and they are all so colorful from the natural fruits and veggies they use. I would recommend this place to anyone who craves a smoothie from time to time. Probably going to choose this place over Jamba any day. I wish there were more locations around! This place is AMAZING!!!!!! I first came here one year ago while visiting my friend in San Diego and she told me about this thing called an "acai bowl." Naturally, I couldn't help but follow the trend so I told her to take me to the place with the best acai bowl and she took me here.... and here is where I fell in love. Wow just wow. Ordered a child drink and it took more then 25 minutes to get it based on my reciept. Multiple people got their order after mine was placed. My best advice is if you have no other choice then here is to order then go shopping/yoga class/run errands then return for your probably still not made drink. I'm still sitting here as the minutes tick by and checked in twice. There's 2 other people here so no idea what the problem is with 2 on staff. I know I will never come here again and regret wasting my precious and extremely limited time I had visiting a friend in town. I usually loveeee Nekter and it's my favorite place to go when I'm back home in SD. But today it was a little underwhelming. I got the PB Acai Bowl and it was almost all granola, and the base was not sweet at all (I'm guessing the bananas weren't ripe enough) and seemed as if the peanut butter was missing. I'm such a juice lover, so I was very excited to have Nektar in my neighborhood. Usually I go to Beaming in Del Mar, but it's so far away. So, needless to say, I was stoked. That was til I went in. They don't use organic produce! The only way you can get juice with organic ingredients is to order their $75/day organic cleanse. Really? Why would anyone want a pesticide cocktail? It sort of negates the whole idea of drinking a healthy juice in the first place. I liked that they had pre-packaged alcohol mixers ready to go with recipes, but again, they're not organic. The staff was friendly, but not all that knowledgeable. They kept saying they would have to "check" on the answers to my questions, but they never did. What a bummer. read more

I was coming here everyday since it's conveniently right by my house but I can't do it anymore. It's not always consistent and it seriously takes at least 15-20min for anything you order- even if it's slow! The staff is friendly but it just takes way too long and I've had several people say the same thing. I still go in and it is good for a chain but I go in knowing it's going to be a wait for sure. Watched another customer order their açaí bowl at the register and they ended up receiving their bowl before mine 25 min(50 min total for 2 açaí bowls) after app said my order would be ready. I watched another customer wait about the same for her smoothie ordered at the store l. Of course I asked about it, no apologize, just they where making it now. Açaí consistency was like a yogurt.
