When I first stepped into Nekter I appreciated the simplicity of the menu. The space is minimalist and the long hallway leads to a door where you can see the gym. I love seeing the diversity of the customers ordering juices and açaí bowls which span families, fitness teachers, and cyclists whom like myself make this juice bar a pit stop before heading back on the Burke. I really like the service and my go to is a green drink. The green drink is nice and balanced and it tastes fresh, crisp, and healthy. I opt to sub a sweeter base with more spinach and the staff are always accommodating. What stands out to me is that there is no pretentiousness. For example, there was a time where Emerald City Smoothies, Pressed Juicery and various other juice bars in Seattle had an air about them. In a way, I'm glad that the bottled juice trend passed and I'm not paying $8 for juice that doesn't taste as fresh as Nekter. Value is good and sizes are enough for myself and my kids. The smoothie that I got was really delicious, and I appreciate that it didn't separate apart like so many other smoothies do. Some concerns/constructive feedback on this location is that there is great signage, encouraging, walking by people to download the app, in order to get a free smoothie... However, the staff inside seemed to be clueless on how this offer works, and not knowledgeable about the app. While I understand that they might still be in training, or perhaps that learning the app is not there priority at the store, I would appreciate if the employees had at least a basic understanding of the promotions offered. read more

I'm sorry to say the item I got, the berry chia parfait would be 3 stars since I couldn't finish it and found the fruit quality to be lower than competitors like Kitanda or Jaiiya Cafe. I'll give the shop a 4 for it's potential - it looks clean and there's lots of other options that I'm sure someone else would like. With the chia seed parfait: you get a cut strawberry, some blueberries and granola on top of lots of chia seed pudding. Some of the blueberries were old and squished, the granola was fine. The pudding was thick, textured, and had no flavor to it. If you haven't had chia pudding before it's like tapioca - but this one they served had no flavor, just multi texture. Just now I tried to find online what's in the mix for this review, but it's not on there- other items list cashew milk as an ingredient and there is an asterisk that says any product may contain peanuts/tree nuts. When I was in the shop I asked for a parfait that doesn't feature peanut butter (mildly allergic) but she didn't mention this caveat that they all have trace nut stuff going on - If you or your kids have a serious nut allergy you'd better clarify with the associate or skip this shop all together. You may have better luck with a smoothie or juice, per the name of the shop! I'm sure that's where they shine. read more

Let me start by saying I have only ever ordered via UberEats, this morning being one of those instances. I was delighted when this franchise location opened due to the sad lack of juice bars around the area. The freshness of ingredients is top notch and its the reason I keep coming back to pay $$ for it. My issue is with the consistency. The blue spirulina cookie dough icecream is probably one of my top 10 favorite things in the world. The previous time I ordered I balked at the $7.75 but the quantity was good and the taste exceptional. The order I just received, however, was the saddest version of my previous experience, the quantity being not even half of what I previously received. I would recommend a scale or some sort of picture to match to get the consistency issues corrected. See attached pictures. On a previous occasion, I ordered the largest version of the celery aid juice. It tasted as though they made the small one, then filled the rest with water. I hope these issues can get resolved, because I would so love for this franchise to succeed and stick around for a long time. read more

My granddaughter and I stopped by this Sunday after we had been at the farmers market they have relatively every weekend during the summer months, we had stopped in during their peak time for business and it seemed a bit of a wait time. The girl checking us out told us we would be waiting roughly 10 minutes for our order. What made me want to leave this amazing review was when I had heard my name be called there was a few other ladies up front trying to get the girls attention while she was handing my items to me. She was very calm and friendly. I'd say there were about 4 girls working in total and all of them were busy bees! If you love smiles and fresh healthy snacks come here! The owners of the Lake Forest Park Towne Center Nekter need to help their staff be better prepared and better supported. What I witnessed yesterday should never happen. I felt terrible for the young woman doing her best and getting chewed out by an angry customer to the point of tears. It wasn't her fault that the orders were backed up - that's all on the owners and poor management/foresight. The staff are not only dealing with walk in orders, but constant online orders as well - and apparently, the app automatically states that online orders will be ready for pick up in 10 minutes, which - as made completely from scratch, in the middle of a walk-in rush on Father's Day, is impossible. I learned that walk-in customers must always receive priority, so if there's a constant funneling-in of walk ins, how/when can they get to the online orders? Apparently, there's no way to adjust the time in the app that the online order will be ready for pickup to manage expectations. So it always says 10 minutes, regardless of walk-in rushes. So understandably, online customers were upset when their orders weren't ready in that given time and I saw many being unpleasant and demanding refunds because of it. So here's this poor gal and her co-workers not only trying their best to keep up with the orders, but now they have to stop what they're doing and issue refunds all while being scowled at and criticized. When I saw an older woman with her grown son and his little daughter lay into this gal who was seriously doing her best, all while remaining super apologetic and friendly herself, it was too much. This woman went off the rails at her! As a once upon a time young server myself, I had to post a review to remind people that when you see workers trying hard and see that they're up against an impossible challenge, be kind. If you're upset, speak to the owner or manager about fixing the problem, rather than tearing into the person trying to do her best for you. read more
