My husband and I just went out to have sushi for lunch this past Sunday March 1st. We decided to go to Nekter for a dessert option. It was around 4 PM and there was a female cashier who was brunette and had her hair in a ponytail. As soon as we got inside, we barely walked up to the register and she yells at us "ITS GOING TO BE A 30 MINUTE WAIT!". My husband and I literally looked at each other in disbelief as she yelled at us in front of the other six people that were in the store. You could tell some of the other customers were shocked and just stared at us like "what the heck just happened". As we stood there, we just decided to wait to see if she would take our order. She continued to work, never acknowledged us or looked at us after that, and didn't even go to the register to take our order while we stood there, waiting patiently. I looked at my husband and said " she just yelled at us and I don't think she's going to take our order. It's not worth it. Let's just go." It's a shame and extremely disappointing to have had that experience. After that experience, I am never going to this store location again. To be treated like that when all we did was just barely walk in is disgusting. I'd rather go to the location in the Whittier Groves. It left a bad taste in my mouth and they lost my business. read more

We asked for no granola, and we got granola. This is to the "new" girl during the morning shift, when a customer asks for no granola, pls don't come back and serve a half filled acai bowl, with barely any fruit and acai and charge us $10.99! You just removed the granola, which is pretty messed up. The acai was for my daughter too. Ask yourself if want to pay full price for a half portion. That wouldn't make sense, right? It's just cruel. My daughter didn't want to ask you to do it for the third time for fear you'll get mad. Customer service is not for everyone. I would give less stars, but they usually do a pretty good job here. I ordered ahead through the app, only to arrive and be told they were out of nearly everything. I ended up canceling my order with David, who was incredibly kind and trying his best to problem-solve. Then I see the owner walking in after the fact--carrying bags of frozen fruit. This puts the staff in such a difficult position. They were scrambling to call customers and figure things out while the store filled with frustrated people waiting on delayed orders. I actually remembered a previous visit where I overheard staff talking about which car to take to go buy strawberries. This all seems like something that could easily be avoided if the owner simply managed inventory and supply in a timely manner. The only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is because they usually get my order correct but in contrast, the customer service is not only rude, but uncomfortable. I usually order online to avoid the girls that work there but this evening I went in with my daughters as they wanted to check out the menu. I pretty much prepare myself for the "you're an inconvenience" vibe from the gal behind the counter but tonight she really seemed annoyed. As a repeat customer I usually get my order quickly and accurately at Nekter at Whittier Friendly Hills location. Unfortunately my experience today 1/8 was not great. Customer service was fine but my smoothie order was unacceptable. The side of the drink was spilling over as I was walking out the door I had chocolate all over my hands. Then when I attempted to drink the smoothie it would not come up the straw. I tried mixing it up but then found out when I opened it there was huge chunks of fruit that was not blended the size of a quarter. I ordered a smoothie not a bowl with whole pieces of fruit. I stopped by this place for the first time yesterday and had such a great experience! There was only one person working, I believe her name was Daisy, and she was absolutely amazing. I asked for some recommendations since it was my first visit and she was so kind and patient in helping me decide what to order despite it being busy. I was a bit frowns about it, but the free ginger shot with Yelp Checkin, the great customer service, and the wide range of choices made me feel a tiny bit better about losing out on my ice cream adventure. I came in Friday, 12/26/2025, when I came in there were 6 people waiting and one worker in the back who politely told me she would be with me shortly. When she came to take my order I asked if it was just her to which she stated yes. After she took my order two more people came in while she cleared 1 person, then two more people came in. I'm writing this review while there are 10 of us waiting and 1 worker. My review isn't for her or her service because despite everything she was nice to everyone, but it is for management to this place. Why would it ever be okay to schedule 1 single person to work both cashier and kitchen? Not only do you have your employee working under stressful conditions which tells me this place doesn't care about their employees, but you have customers waiting excessive wait times. read more

My only complaint is that every time I come here the employees seem overwhelmed. Mind you, it's never been crowded when I've been here. The Acai bowels are also so delicious and big... I am never able to finish it. Nekter is so good and I love how their smoothies are always healthy and delicious! The store always has fresh fruit and it makes me keep coming back. I highly recommend downloading the Nekter app they always have freebies and buy one get one deals! 4/16 I love this place and I came inside to order around 2:30 but it was really busy. I asked the girl working when she passed out my order if she was the only one working and she said yes.. I know it's take out only because of the whole COVID-19 but I don't think their system of taking orders is fair. We placed our order an hour ago on the app and come to the store 15 min later to find that others who are placing their order at the door are getting their orders first. If I had known it was this way, we would've just placed our order face to face with you guys. At Starbucks, they make the drinks as the stickers/orders pop out, which ever comes out first (mobile order or in store) that's what they make. Please fix your system, and monitor the people at your door who are NOT social distancing. It's really annoying just sitting here in the car, waiting for my drinks when others who placed their orders after me are getting their orders before. Update: just found out that their system doesn't send the order to the store until 15 minutes before your order is ready.
