We've used Neo Moving twice now, once for a move from a house to an apartment last year and then this year from the apartment to a house. Charley is always awesome to talk to and respectful for getting everything schedule and set up. Both time we worked with Garret as the Lead. Garret is great to work with and always "can do" with his crew. This go around we had a move from a storage site, to the apartment, to the house. We had to improvise when there was more stuff in the storage than anticipated, but the crew was still able to get done under the estimated timeframe. These guys are AWESOME and affordable! We had a very FULL storage unit, enough so that it was determined early on that we would need another truck! No problem at all! After our approval (for a very reasonable charge), they were on the phone and second truck was brought, just about the time they were ready for it. Charley (the owner) was extremely responsive and very positive. Of the five movers we got quotes from, he was the fastest and the most pleasant. Great customer service! He was prompt in arriving at the move site despite it being quite a distance from his office. He and Rudy did a great job moving and even worked with us on the price. They were consummate professionals. We also found a little damage on a couple of furniture pieces and a fragile piece packed not so securely, but the damage was superficial and we were able to repack the fragile item before departure. To be fair, there were a lot of things happening during the move and probably some confused instructions. We hired the guys to just move the heavy stuff, but they kept working past the original time agreement to make sure my fiancee's disabled mother's items were also packed and at no extra cost. I didn't hire this company. Well, I did, and then I cancelled it because of the poor communication skills of the scheduler. He communicated things very clearly but 50% of communication is listening and at after booking the move he decided that instead of it being possible he didn't understand what I was talking about, that it was me who didn't understand. I interjected at one point and started to state my concern over not learning about the credit card fee until the very end of the call when everything else was done. I understood there was no fee for the down payment, but instead he kept reiterating this information to me, even after I told him *twice* I understood it and everything else he'd said. He did not give me the space in the conversation to point out something he wasn't comprehending. Multiple times. Then when I pointed it out he immediately got patronizing with me in a tone of voice that suggested I was stupid (I've worked in customer service for years and never treated anyone this way). He told me that the "process (of scheduling and billing) isn't magical" and "Well if 2.5% billing fee because you opt to use a credit card is going to be too much for you we can cancel." He was not friendly about this. It was exceedingly clear and there can be ZERO doubt that he was being...well, downright mean, and mocking me (for what, maybe not having enough to cover 2.5%?) and ready to end that call. Yes this is EXACTLY what he said. Just to me suggesting that maybe he should have mentioned the 2.5% credit card fee before the very end of the call so that someone who couldn't afford it wouldn't spend 20 minutes on the phone. At this point, with his clear lack of civility I chose to cancel the service I'd already scheduled and paid in part for. He happily (again, no mistake) said he'd cancel. I said thanks and hung up. Not enough to make me cancel, but also this earlier in the conversation: I asked them if they'd make sure to wear masks in the house and he made sure to tell me they're not required to according to the CDC but he'd mark it on the invoice and make sure they knew to wear masks, and that they do carry masks in the vans with them. I was fine with that. I mentioned that the last moving company didn't even bother to carry masks and that was a challenge so I wanted to mention it before move day was all. He went on to tell me how glad they were the mandate was lifted. This was totally unnecessary - I'm not calling to discuss or debate whether someone's health is more important than them having to be a little inconvenienced to do a job that I was paying them for. I told the scheduler this: "Well ok. I'm not here to discuss the merits of masks one way or the other. I just want to make sure they'll be wearing them when they do the job for me." And he said ok. Fully aware I can be a bit specific with folks when I'm hiring them to do something for me, but I'm always polite and don't try to debate contentious issues, and I always listen or ask to regroup later if I'm unable to listen. read more

We had a really good experience moving from a 2 bdrm apartment to a townhouse with Neo moving. Charlie, who answered the phone (and is also the manager) was friendly and quick in giving an estimate -there were no surprises at the end of the move, and we paid as agreed ahead of time; the prices were competitive with the other quotes we had obtained from movers in the area. Highly recommend Neo Moving! Charlie was responsive and easy to work with. We recently had moved from San Diego to Seattle and needed to find a local mover to unload our POD and move into our new place. Due to limited street parking we had the crew meet us at the POD facility, unload our POD, drive to our house and unload/move us in. The crew arrived right on time, unloaded the POD in 30 minutes and worked efficiently to move everything into our house. They were communicative, worked efficiently and wore masks and followed COVID guidelines. We only had booked them about a book before we needed moving services since we were waiting on a POD arrival date and couldn't be happier with the services. Cannot say enough good things about these guys. Called right at the beginnings of our time window and arrived 15 minutes later, masked up and with tons of supplies to make the move as smooth and quick as possible. They were flexible, understanding and extremely willing to make an unplanned stop along the way to pick up a couch, and then helped us figure out what to do with it when it didn't fit through our door. (Our fault, we hadn't measured.) Charley was transparent about the pricing from the beginning and great at communication. The final total was exactly in line with the estimate they had provided. We had to sell the large home we shared with my in laws in their declining years, disperse things from their 62 years together, and move ourselves to @ 2nd story walk up. Charley and his team had our backs through the entire process treating everything from our table saw to our fragile glass cabinet with appropriate and excellent care. In a situation that had potential to be full of problems and grief, everything went very smoothly and we even had some entertaining moments. Charley's good character is obvious and it really shows that he cares about his customers and respects their things. We worked with him on 3 different days going to 3 different locations. It was really difficult to find someone who genuinely cared about doing everything right & it was clear NEO Moving was that group. Darren & Jon were extremely careful when unloading everything into the house, along with the other 2 folks in their crew. We had 4 16' PODS to unload and it only took them just about 4 hours. My daughter, who is a single mother, was moving. i was out of town so i couldn't help and she had to orchestrate the whole thing by herself. Needless to say, she was one stressed out young lady. Neo Moving was the first and probably the best ever moving service I have acquired in my life. They are truly there for your benefits. This month I had to arrange an emergency move because of a medical crisis, and I couldn't be there for the packing and loading. Not only was Charlie (the owner) kind enough to collect all of the packing materials I have ordered online and take them to the moving site, when the materials were not enough, Charlie personally did extra trips to help me purchase the materials and charged me only a little for the extra time. The day before the move, I had to change my plan and I had to ask them to transport all of my stuff to a loading terminal address instead of the original loading address. Charlie really worked the magic and was able to arrange that extra trip. His guys were also patient enough when they were loading my stuff at the terminal, when they realized that the initial loading cube that I ordered was not big enough. You know, moving itself is such a hassle, not mentioning that it's during COVID and I just went through a medical crisis and can't be there for my move. Without Charlie and his team, I wouldn't be able to get everything done in such a short period of time. As a local, private company (instead of a chain business), they really put their hearts and efforts into caring for their clients. The team was very kind, professional, and treated my items with great care and respect. We had a good experience with Neo Moving. I reached out via their website on a Friday and they were able to complete our local move on Sunday (two days later). The price was $180 per hour for three people (including their transit time from Lynwood to our move locations). All of the items we needed to move were already packed and wrapped from previous moves into storage so Neo only needed to load everything on their truck and deliver it. We had them do some re-arranging of furniture at our home during the move which also went well. They were careful with the furniture and didn't damage anything. The actual cost was 3/4 of an hour over their estimate, which is reasonable, considering there were some items we asked them to relocate to another room after they placed the item in the original spot. Everyone I spoke to including the moving crew spoke clearly and understood and followed our direction well. Overall we were very pleased. I did not observe Neo Moving doing any packing (it wasn't needed for this job), but what they did was done well and we were happy. There was also a prompt to tip at the end, but unlike other movers their system was not set up to pressure a tip at a set percentage (like 15%). The only prompt was a free-form field and I could enter any amount I felt comfortable with with. read more

Service was prompt and professional, I loved being able to confirm and sign for services electronically - just what you might expect, but the crew also went above and beyond to help me during my move. They hoisted my couch two stories when I thought I would have to get rid of it. It was done in like 5 seconds, so fast! One guy went out of his way to first finish up with everything in the truck, then run to his family's place nearby to borrow some tools we needed. He offered to come back AFTER I WAS BILLED to finish up the job as customer service (my couch needed its feet put back on). I moved from a 1br apartment into a three story townhome. Zero complaints, no broken items, everything handled with care, they wrapped my things that needed it that I hadn't had time for (dressers, a cabinet, my TV console).
