This review is solely based on my experience. We visited this restuarant for dinner with a group of 6 people. We ordered onion naan, garlic naan ,roti, muttar paneer, and a few other dishes. The naans were way under cooked. We took a bit from the naans and returned them stating that they were undercooked and we needed new ones. What we got was the same naans that were cooked again. Here is where things got interesting. We had an expectant mother in the group. When we asked the manager how they could cook used naans in the same oven as new ones and how they maintained healthy cooking conditions , the manager was unmoved. He even said he didnt care for the expectant mother in the group. He started talking about how Indian people and Nepalese people are different and how Indian people always fought with Nepalese people. He said , i quote, 'People come here. They eat what they like. They dont eat what they dont like and go'. We asked the manager to just listen to our concerns. We were never let to finish a single sentence. One of the server serving our food was very dismissive of every single one of our questions. It was so bad , in the end, one of the other servers even apologized on behalf of the manager. Never ever coming here. You can eat here as long as you are ok eating bad food(God know what they put in the oven or how clean they are) and eating in a place where the customer's opinion doesnt matter and talking about Indo-Nepalese politics. I wish i can give zero stars for both the food and their service. read more

Arrived in Estes today with an empty stomach and happy to have come across Nepal's Cafe. We decided to try out the buffet at $11.95pp you can't go wrong. Food was delicious and light. The place is outfitted with mountaineering photos from Nepal and Pakistan. This is a family run business and they seem to truly care about their customers. Grabbed their brunch when my wife and I needed a place to eat prior to meeting up with 2 friends from out of town. Phenomenal nan bread to go with 4 styles of curry. Some potatoe versions, 3 chicken version, and 1 spinach version. They also had stir flyed green bean which was exceptional with the spinach curry. I'm vegan, and the people here were very kind about it. They took that into account in all the things I was going to order without me asking. Our waiter was very kind. I had one of the curry dishes. (I forgot the name but the last word in the dish's name was masala) It was great! It took a little wait, but it was definitely worth it. The curry to rice ratio provided was perfect. The temperature of the dish was perfect as well. I had the soy chai, and it was definitely authentic. The decoration is really welcoming and nice too. This is not the review of the food.we just had the snacks and it was disappointing. To start we enter the nepals cafe and it was full, However the staff told us to wait for 2 minutes so that they can clean the table. We waited outside for 15 min but nobody came, So we went inside and sat on the empty table by ourself. Dont get me wrong the food looks tasty, but we had to go to hiking so we wanted some snacks, but noone came to us to even give us menu, After waiting 10 min i had to ask the staff to give me menu. We then decided to go for samosa, momo, lassi and lemonade. The wait was insane, But we thought that the Food will make up for it but boy it was disappointing. The samosas was over filled with potato, Im from india and i know what the quantity of potato and pastry. It was just edible, No taste whatsoever. We then had lassi and lemonade which was good. Then comes the main part, We ordered momos and the group sitting just front of us also ordered momos. They got it early and they left around 10 pieces of momos. The portion size of momos are 12. We thought that since they are Americans they might have not liked the taste. But i was wrong, When our momos arrived after 20 minutes of completing samosas and drink we could just finish 2(1 each). Those were the most horrible momos i have ever eaten, And i have eaten momos from north east part of india and folks from bhutan and nepal. The momos were bitter and the stuffing wasn't good. Now every staff asked whats wrong since the group before is also left the momos, I told them whats wrong and i was expecting that they wont charge but they did nevertheless. It was 11.50 dollar plus tax. I dont mind giving the money but hey a nice gesture of not charging for those momos was expected and i might have come another time for real food. Place is dirty. Waitress could speak but was mute when she dropped off the menu and years later, our orders. She did not come to check up on us or refill our water. We ordered from the menu because the buffet did not look appealing. Plus, the tiny buffet was right at the entrance, which was worse. It took nearly an hour for our food to come out, and surprise, it was a let-down. We were not impressed. I don't get the 5-star reviews. Lack of service and meh food. My first review was back in 2014 and we've been back a couple of times. We were there in 02/20 and the food was once again great. Went in at 8pm. They close at 9pm. There were 3 tables when we came in...2 of which already had their food. The waitress took our order without greeting us, after about 10 minutes of waiting for her to take our order. Fast forward to 5 till 9. No food. No waitress checking on us (or our empty waters). No beer that my husband had ordered with the food. Meanwhile, the owner asked a single gentleman (who was already done eating) 3 times how he was doing without even a glance at us sitting there with no food & empty waters. In addition, a customer that came after us received his food and finished it while we continued to wait. We left. Customer service was horrible.
