Husband ordered the Meatball Sub on a toasted Hoagie Roll topped with marinara and melty provolone cheese and fries ($11.99). I was lucky he let me try this. It was a very delicious marinara, covering the meatballs with lots of cheese. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich made with sliced pork, ham, salami, Swiss cheese, mustard, mayonnaise, and pickles and fries ($13.99). I loved it, as well as the crispy fries. Really loved this place. Right across from the beach with a cool island-y outdoor bar, with a local community feel. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious with large portion sizes. We got the Spanakopita plate and sat at the bar. My only negative comment is regarding the smoking outside at the bar. If you're trying to eat at the bar it's not pleasant to have smoke in your face. I understand it comes with the territory though. read more

Such a great spot to have authentic, fresh Greek food! I ordered something I've never had before and was left super satisfied (don't remember what it was called but took a pic). The service was spot on and I liked the chill vibes. We arrived just before lunch so it was pretty empty but filled up within 30 minutes. Will go again to try more off their menu :) read more

The best part is outside seating is readily available without asking. Just sit and get waited on. The worst is smoking. Oh sure, there is a nonsmoking area but smoking can ruin the experience for non smokers, relegating us indoors. I don't understand this in a business. No one is obligated to cater to them and guess what. They'd eat there anyway. Yup, the loss of a star for that one. Now that we've got that out of the way, the service was spot on. She was excellent and delivered in every way. She even forgot to put an item on the check and just said it was all good. Yeah, she got a bigger cash tip for that one. Thanks. I had the fish tacos. The cod, other than being a touch over salted was very good. Finished off with the black beans and rice and it was the perfect meal. My mate had the gyro and said it was excellent. Gulfport is a cute little bay water area of St. Pete. Neptune Grill is located right at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Shore Blvd. across from the Gulfport Casino. We sat at the outside patio in the front of the restaurant. I had the Spinach Pie with Greek Salad and the side of potato salad. It was very good. Everyone was very happy with there food. Ok, so I didn't want you thinking that I just went to Neptune's and reviewed a sign and water. I also had a salad and a chicken souvlaki sandwich. The salad was probably enough for me. But I also wanted to try the souvlaki, and being only a few days after my birthday, I treated myself. Unfortunately, the picture of the sandwich didn't come out, so it's not included. Picture a pita, filled with chicken, tomato, feta cheese, lettuce and some of that Greek sauce and that's literally what I ordered. Super nice people. Sat by the window and had a pretty good view of the volleyball court. And, had a sensible water (picture included) because I had a sweet tooth and knew I'd want something sweet later. read more

Awesome little spot on the water with great Greek food! I have a special place in my heart for meat stuffed dolmades and unfortunately they are pretty hard to find. It was during this relentless hunt that I came across Neptune Grill! I even drove all the way out to Gulf Port just to see if they were up to snuff and they were amazing!! The drinks are reasonably priced for the water location and the rest of the menu looked great. I'd highly recommend popping in and trying this place. read more

Went to Neptune on Sunday night after we heard that the Jazz Band Hot Tonic would be playing next door. We have been in Gulfport dozens of times and have walked past Neptune Grill. We never thought to stop here because Greek food outside of Astoria, Queens didn't feel right. This time we were hungry and wanted to hang out for a while so we stopped and ordered. We got Calamari, Gyro platter, and fried fish tacos. The reason for the 4 stars (opposed to 5) was that the calamari was ok. There was a consistency that wasn't great and while I typically will try something twice, I just can't see myself ordering it again. With that said, the gyro platter and fish tacos were very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. The seasoning was spot on and the french fries were DELICIOUS. The side salad that came with the platter was also really good. Without hesitation, Neptune Grill will be added to our restaurant rotation in Gulf Port. read more

Hands down THE best gyro I've ever had, didn't think to take a pic until mostly done. They add feta cheese, who knew, but it totally elevated an already fresh and delicious sandwich. The made from scratch tzatziki sauce with fresh dill just takes it yet to an entirely new level of savory. Friendly service, great location, awesome food! Haven't had Greek food in a while and have been eyeing Neptune Grill. They have great reviews and well it's hard to go wrong with Gulfport! Ordered all apps because I wanted to have my favs and they didn't have a "platter" that included them all. Had a small hummus with veggies, the hummus was so tasty, very well flavored and creamy! Wanted to add my greens for the day and opted for the small Greek salad which was actually pretty big and filling. Greek Octopus is always so tasty and has a charred flavor, together with the seasonings , olive oil and a wedge of lemon to squish into the dish before going in. The bread absorbed some of the lemon herb olive oil goodness too so it packed flavor in every bite. The key lime pie they make in house and can put whipped cream if you like. The picture doesn't do it justice, a picture can't translate the amazing flavor it had! It tasted fresh and very tart, had a bit of texture to it too. Can tell it was made in house and definitely has the lime tartness that I was craving! Good prices, good, friendly & attentive service. Do recommend!! read more

Neptune's is our go-to restaurant for week night dinner out or weekend afternoon meal. The menu offers something for everyone and is consistent with each visit. Our go-to entrees are hummus, large Greek salad w potato salad or horiatiki salad to share, spanikopita starter or platter, burgers, wings, gyros and pastichio. Cold beers, seltzers and delicious bloody Mary's! This family run restaurant has great staff AND it's worth noting, Whitney is the most entertaining weekend bartender! Chris is often our waiter on the patio and is super attentive and does a great job, even on the most hectic & crowded days. First time for lunch here after stopping in many other times for drinks. It was a great day to be outside, so we took advantage of the covered patio seating, which offers a great view of Gulfport's public beach area and the Gulf. Started with the drink at the top of their specialty cocktails menu: the Kraken Storm, made with Kraken Black Spiced Rum, ginger ale, and lime juice over ice. Not bad - might have been better if their ginger ale wasn't flat. Not impressed BUT keeping the recipe in mind to try at home. Kitchen did better for us by far. Mel went with the Maryland Crab Cake appetizer, which is actually a nice lunch sized portion, while I went with the Gyro Sandwich. Mel was the winner this time. Crab cake is seasoned well and flakey, breaking apart nicely with a fork. Ask your server to bring it with chipotle mayo instead of tartar sauce for a nice extra kick. Gyro sandwich wasn't bad, but not spectacular, either. Ingredients all tasted fresh, lamb/beef combo flavorful, but it's not a "wow." All in all, nice experience. Great place no matter what you like. The staff and owners are amazing and always smile (even if it's difficult). Food is great and even as a vegan, though limited food (for vegans-limited, but tons of choices for regular diets) is great quality and well prepared. It's always clean and the music they have is always spot on. Another staple of Gulfport that's a great experience. I stopped here while waiting to head into a reception which was located across the street. My friends and I had an hour and some change to kill and we were starving, so we figured we'd stop and eat. We went into Neptunes because we saw they had happy hour and wanted to imbibe. I ordered the shrimp. Now when I ordered them, the listing described them and said that there were six of them and the price was listed as 14.99. Cool. Shrimp and fries, something quick. I also got a Blue Floridian while I was waiting. It was good! Very refreshing!! The shrimp comes out and its these six LITTLE shrimp, with some slaw next to it. I'm looking like okayyyyyyy am I missing something? Like some bigger shrimp and some fries? Nope! Fries weren't included and the six little shrimp are what cost 15 bucks. Total rip off! I had to order a side of fries which came out looking like it was for 3 people! Ridiculous. Service was sub par! My waitress looked at me a little weird because I was sitting with my son strapped to my chest and I ordered a drink. Um, fix your face and give me my drink please! Smh!!!!! My waiter Chris was very polite and sexy. As I devoured a tendor steak sent from the Greek gods themselves I felt the love as of gods loved me.
