This is the absolute worst Nespresso store. I have been here a total of 5 times and have only gotten acceptable service once. I generally buy my pods on their website. They always seem annoyed when you decline a sample of coffee. And the last 2 times I've gone they have overcharged me for sleeves. They are are helpful with a refund but this should not be happening. After handing me a sample I waited for milk/sugar and my husband waited to request his flavor of choice, someone who looked like a coworker or friend walked up asking to try a flavor and they just stopped helping us to help them. I'm glad this exists, but based on the Yelp photos, it appears it may be going under some construction? I was expecting a bit larger space but perhaps I was mistaken. Either way, it's nice to be able to purchase your Nespresso pods without having to wait for shipping. Granted, due to COVID they do not give out samples and the lines can get a bit long. The staff here are great. Always friendly, always helpful. They generally have deals every so often...sorry I do not need 100 pods right now, but 20 could have been free if you did? While in line you can scan the QR code to review the menu. Plenty of options to choose from. They will also give you a recycle bag for your pods which is great! I do wish you didn't have to buy an entire sleeve and could mix and match the flavors. read more

This place is so fun and different. It's in a kind of odd spot, I;m sure they state it but it took me a minute to find it. It's not in the Macy's store, it's inside the Macy's Homer store which has the funnest stairway entrance into the ground of the mall. When you enter it;s like an adult candy store, beds mattress on the left, appliances straight back, and to the right then espresso "cafe". Well filled with sleeves of pods, all colors, finishes, and foil accents!! Then you get to talk to the barista, they're make you something or talk to you about the sleeves and coffees, their favs or ways to make them. This is definitely not the most efficient way to recycled with them providing free bags and having a larger selection in the app. But, you can look around at the accessories or machines, and it;s just such a fun little experience! read more

I'm not sure if nespresso has changed ownership or what - I've been a long time customer but recently have decided to stop using their products and revert to (much cheaper) french press. The customer service experience at nespresso has become horrible and there's no way to interact with the boutiques. If you live in Seattle you literally have to drive to Bellevue to talk to someone at the store and they seem to be understaffed lots of the time - also they no longer give the postage paid recycle bags freely as they did before or they're always out of them. French press coffee grounds just compost so if you bought nespresso for the recycling program - that's another failure. Buying coffee should not be this hard and no longer is for me :) read more

In the year and a half that I've been going to this boutique for my refills, I have never encountered rude staff. The boutique is usually well stocked of all the current flavors. The only thing to criticize is that I often have to ask for the current promotions available rather than the staff telling me right off the bat. read more

First time visitor. Just purchased a small Pixie unit after spending time in hotels in Europe. They have them and they are habit forming. Blake spent a lot of time walking me through the flavors and made a nice cup for me to try. He explained the special editions and that it was not a subscription service. Order when you want. While I was there four other customers came up to order and try some flavors. Prices were great. Same or better than knock off on line. We tried a third party one from Amazon and they didn't work in the machine. Learned from friendly folks at the boutique. Not pushy. Will be back. read more

Lady working there does not know much about the place she works for. First of all, Nespresso isn't from Japan. Its parent is Nestle which has headquarters in Switzerland... I was looking for a specific machine, the citiz, which was apparently sold out since 6 months ago(?) and am not able to order online. I was only able to order through her with one color. The reason they were sold out was because of chips? I honestly had no idea. I thought she was racist when she said Japan needs to hurry and make their chips(?) and send them to the states, but honestly, she probably just does not know anything about the company. So I just went to Williams Sonoma upstairs and got the exact machine I was looking for and even got free capsules. It's actually comical. She said she has been sending customers to Pottery barn to order the machines. They don't even sell them. Either she meant Williams Sonoma, the parent, or she literally thought pottery barn sold them. Interesting experience. Sadly, the lady working there did not know anything and was not helpful. I agree with the bad reviews on this page. Upon arriving, I just wanted to come in to buy the pods but was greeted with a young lady who asked me for my account details. I told her I am definitely not on their system as I didn't purchase the machine from them. She then asked me where I got it from, I told her I got them secondhand at facebook marketplace. Almost immediately her attitude changed, she did not help me at all afterwards. Wow. I asked for her recommendations on something that is flavorful yet much less than my 7.7oz capsules. She barely helped and didn't know what to recommend. So I got the smaller sized pods and wanted to leave immediately. The audacity to not want to serve just because I didn't get the machine from them. I felt so uncomfortable and left with just 1 box. Had they been nicer, I would have ordered more. read more

Like many others, I bought a Nespresso after having experienced them in literally every hotel I stayed at in Europe. I found a deal on the Lattissima one in Germany as it was $200 less than in the US and I already had a converter for the plug/wattage so I couldn't resist. After reading the reviews online I decided to stop by the Boutique to get some pods rather than ordering them. I was afraid they might come broken from shipping if I purchased on Amazon and I didn't really know which pods to get so I needed some guidance. The Nespresso Boutique is on the bottom of the Macy's home store in the back center. It's not too hard to find if you know the Bellevue Square layout. The few times I've gone I've have great associates help me out. They're always friendly and they're very knowledgeable. I've gotten a sample of the Paris Black while there which is delicious. I also really like that you can bring back your pods to be recycled here and they'll provide you with the bags, as well as the bags if you prefer to ship them. Highly recommend just coming here if you have a Nespresso, or if you're in the market for one. They can help you out and educate you on the products. read more

Recently got an espresso machine and finished all the samples, and was left figuring out how to order more capsules. Found this on Yelp by chance and I personally thought it was so easy to just stop in and order boxes without doing an online order (who wants to pay for shipping unless you commit to ordering a boatload at a time??). The service is extremely courteous and knowledgeable here (huge props to the gentleman helping/serving us). Got an intro to newly released flavors and got to taste some samples of capsules we were looking into. The capsule/box prices are the same as online. There was no pressure or upselling at all, either way I had a good idea of what I wanted anyways before coming in. Never really payed attention to the lower level home section of Macy's, but I'm glad this exists. read more

Last two purchases after the initial reviews... The dings continuous. In July 2017, I was talking to the Nespresso clerk about this issue. He said, "well, the product is still fine...". I used to come here to buy my Nespresso capsules because the website has a lot of bugs and many times I had issues ordering online and wasted time placing orders that don't go through. They don't have a real Nespresso store as it's located inside a Macy's, and there are no windows as it is located underground. They used to give a small sample sleeve of 2 capsules with every order, they don't do that anymore. They also used to have offers such as buy 9 sleeves 1 offer, they also do that way less. The line is often 15 to 20 min wait. And the prices have increased since January 2023. I want to be a loyal Nespresso customer for my capsules but Nespresso is making it hard for me. Please hire developers for your website or add more stores so people can buy capsules. In the meantime I found some competitors willing to fill the gap. read more

We used to go there all the time to buy the coffee pods but just usually order online now. They were always friendly and helpful. We didn't buy our machine there and they never asked. They were always ready to give us samples and answer questions. No one ever asked us for account details. Obviously something big has changed there. I will say that just about every business I go to now has almost all new people and many know nothing about the products they sell. Same thing happened to me at ULTA and even the bank. Things are very different since COVID and all places are hurting. It has been very difficult for everyone to get new employees and train them. I think we are all too impatient and need to cut everyone some slack, myself included. Easy accessible pods! You dont have to wait for your pods to come in the mail and pay for shipping. You can visually see all the coffee and decide on new flavors. They have samples. I live and die by Nespresso at home, which is why stumbling into this store today was a welcome surprise. A tiny but colorful bay full of machines, pods and (surprise) well priced sleeves of pods. Why or why is is near impossible to find sleeves of Nespresso pods if you want to try a little something and don't feel like ordering a ton in bulk? I thought this might be a mirage. But no. For $7 I walked away with a sleeve of my favorites. No guilt for not buying more and no need to --this week. (After all, I know where to find you if I need you.) I have to state for the record that Nespresso is the gold standard for customer service. My steamer malfunctioned once. They sent me a new one. Free! My water container shattered after crashing to the floor. They sent me a new one. Free! I'm a loyal fan. HUGE, HUGE thank you to MONICA and JOSIAH for their patience, care and support tonight. I had came in earlier in the morning to buy a Nespresso machine and unfortunately it wouldn't work so I came by again tonight to do an exchange. Before leaving though I asked Monica if she could do a test on my machine to make sure it worked fine before I left the store. She was SO helpful and agreed to test my machine. Lo and behold ... the second machine I had exchanged for ALSO was not working. I cannot express how worried and anxious I was because I really wanted to go home with a working machine. I explained to Monica my original issue and when doing all she could, she called customer service to troubleshoot. Thankfully I was the only one there, I didn't want to take her from other customers if they needed assistance. So here we are, doing everything possible to get my machine to work and still, nothing. Josiah then comes in and suggests an idea that could possibly work. At this point I was all out of options so I was like "please, whatever you'd like to try". AND TADAH, my machine started to work. Monica and Josiah spent the end of their night to help me out, about 2ish hours. Both of them also didn't want me to walk out without a machine that didn't work and they were so determined. Customer service like theirs is SO hard to find nowadays. Customer satisfaction is so important, especially if it's someone like me who's brand new to Nespresso and I am VERY satisfied. This place is wonderful! It's located in Macy's and was fairly busy when we arrived. We were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted to try a new limited flavor. The representative quickly prepared our own little espresso shots with perfectly frothed milk. It was delightful! We continued to walk around to learn about the different flavors available. We came to buy 1-2 flavors for the Nespresso Machine we received as a wedding gift! We had lots of questions that were answered with knowledge and friendliness! We ended up buying a flavor pack of 12 boxes! The same person helped us all the way through and even gave us recycle bags for our pods. It was a great experience! I have not received the best service from Nespresso's online customer service team in the past and my experience in this boutique was exceptional! I had called online customer service to check stock of an item through their online team and the gentleman over the phone told me that they did have it in stock. I drove all the way down to this location only to find out that the items were not sold at the boutique Alison helped us out and her professional attitude and expertise made up for the whole debacle! Nestled in the far end of the Macy's store, this Nespresso boutique is basically as good as it can get. I have been here on 3 occasions in the span of about a month, and each time the service has been 5-star. There is a wide selection of nespresso machines, and of course a wide selection of pods, and above all, fantastic people who work here. Every salesperson here is polite, engaging, knowledgeable, eager to help and just nice overall. They will make you as many servings of the different flavors that you need before you make up your mind, and will explain the subtleties. This last time it was Nicholas who helped us, and as always it was great service. An unrelated thing - we returned some unopened boxes of pods that we decided we didn't want (because we had bought 2 of each kind and after finishing the first, we weren't too keen on the second boxes). Nick processed the return and refund, but we found out that if you return stuff, even if the boxes are unopened, they need to just discard those items - they are not sold to some other customer. That has hopefully taught us to be extra careful before buying food stuff now. read more

Wanted to visit a physical shop for my first order since getting my Nespresso. I would like to note that this Nespresso store is located in the Home section of Macys, which is why we couldn't find it over on the clothes/beauty store. The staff will essentially make as many brews as you like so you can find the coffee you like. You can even tell them which ones you already like so that they can get a sense for how you like your coffee. This is a great time to tried their flavored coffee as well. Love smelling the aroma of coffee being brewed. Staff is super knowledgable! I would probably prefer coming in person to refill rather than online purchasing, in my opinion. read more

I really am glad we have a Nespresso boutique in Washington but the customer service is always SO bad here. Every time I come to try a new sleeve of pods, I ask questions about the notes and strength. One lady in particular (middle aged white woman) is so condescending and makes snarky remarks at me like "you haven't used this machine before have you?" and "You're new to this aren't you?" I've had my vertuo machine for over a year now and I just want to try something new each time. She makes me never want to come back and I'd rather just order online. I suggest getting some friendlier and better customer service workers. So rude. read more

The machines are great, easy to use, and convenient. Unlike other companies, I love that they compost the pods! The sale staff know their stuff and can virtually answer any question you might have about their coffee and machines. We had a really great experience with one of the younger gentleman there who was so courteous, gave us many samples, showed us many demos, and put up with my mom's many inquiries, ha! The manager (male, caucasian, late thirties, forties) there is snooty and the reason I had to knock off some stars. He has the air of a "suave" businessman. While he is knowledgable, he is not personable. We had asked what coffees we get in the starter pack with the machine, and was met with your standard "it's a mixture of customer favorites and a fair sampling of mild, medium, and dark roasts" response. When we asked for the specific names, he said "tell me what you are trying to achieve by knowing exactly what they are so I can help you". Uh, no thank you. Now you've got my defenses up and I no longer want to talk to you nor give you my money. Like others have mentioned, the pods are lined up against the wall behind the registers. You cannot freely browse them on your own. They do have laminated sheets with brief descriptions of each flavor profile of the pods but it just doesn't feel the same when you can't touch and peruse on your own. We love our vertuoline machine. And being able to buy the capsules locally means not having to pay for shipping and wait for them to be delivered in the mail. However, the customer service we've received by phone has been much better than at the boutique. We also buy A LOT of capsules at one time and have visited this boutique many times because we drink several cups of nespresso per day. I feel like the sales staff always has a little bit of an attitude considering they basically work in a Macy's. I also find it hilarious that they never offer us a free cup of coffee until after we've made our purchase. So instead of making it a way to sell their coffee (newly released flavors or just flavors we don't remember trying when we first bought our machine), they make it more of a reward for buying capsules. Every time they ask, I think to myself "no, I just bought a ton of coffee so it is too late now for me to try anything new because I'm not going to make second purchase today". I think this location needs to re-think their sales strategy. They might be worried that folks who don't have nespresso machines are just looking for a free cup of coffee. In that case, they should just ask every person who enters the boutique if they are interested in buying a machine or capsules. Or, when I'm standing and looking at the menu, they could ask me if there is a new flavor I'd like to try before buying. Fast efficient experience each time I visit this boutique in Macy's. I have never had to wait more than 1 minute to be served, and it feels very personalized. Plentiful stock of Nespresso capsules, and the staff can make recommendations whenever I am too lazy to decide what I'm in the mood for! You can also get sample tasters of the selection of coffee as usually there is a demo machine up and running. No complaints! read more
