I got Vertruoline machine months ago. I liked it but the inconvenience for us to get the coffee capsules ONLY either order online or go to downtown Nespresso Boutique to buy it. The staffs were friendly. The coffee bar area was small and busy, the other corner showing all different machines, accessories and coffee capsules. The shop offers complimentary coffee for you to try at the basement level or top floor in the Bay! We also returned our capsules to the shop, they will take care of it. read more

Absolutely terrible member tasting experience. We have been members with Nespresso for over 5 years and this is by far the worst experience. The barista did not listen to my order and gave me a cappuccino instead of a macchiato. I clearly told him I just wanted foam from the frother and not too much milk but he didn't listen. I asked him to redo it, and still got the same thing. I then asked him a third time and he finally used the frother to do it right. He was going to just put the foam on my old coffee but I asked him to redo the whole thing. I again told him the reason I wanted foam was because I didn't want too much milk. He rolled his eyes and made a face! He was rude, and told me that they don't usually use the frother. If that was the case, how is it that they have 2-3 behind the counter and another barista used it for someone else. I have been to over 20 different Nespresso's all over Canada, US and Europe and this was absolutely terrible. I am very disappointed at this experience and will be emailing head office, along with his picture. He was a slim, Asian man with spiked hair and black glasses, no name tag and a huge attitude! I would recommend going to another location to purchase your machines and pods! read more

I walked by this store many times when I am at the Bay. It is located in the basement. Nespresso business concept is very interesting. Their sales are relied on word of mouth and of course the long term relationship with its customers. So if you buy a Nespresso machines and you are on their list anytime you drop by their store, you get free coffee or espresso. They are seen as a higher level brand compared to Starbucks Verismo or Tassimo or the K-cup machine. But of course Nespresso price is higher then its competitor. Like I said before, they base their products on customer relationship and valuing that relationship. You don't get service buying K-cup or Tassimo cups etc. For that reason they don't have their machines being sold at grocery stores at isle number 2 etc. Their products are definitely of higher grade that is for sure. read more

It is a treat for us to head to the Nespresso store to re-fill out stock! This is one of the best coffees in town, and is THE best do it your self coffees I have ever had! We live in Seattle and decided to stop by during our trip to BC (we can't buy the capsules anywhere brick and mortar at home.) It was kind of a nightmare to locate so I will share our struggle. For some reason, Google Maps shows 674 Granville as being at the corner of Granville and W Hastings. We headed down there and poked around Sinclair Centre and Harbour Centre, and circled the block to no avail. When we found friendly passersby that helped us search the address on their phones, for some reason it also put a pin on the map at that corner!? We finally trusted our 20th-century navigation skills and headed south until we got to the actual 600 block of Granville and The Hudson's Bay Company building (near W Georgia St.) For all of you fellow Yankees making the trip, the Hudson's Bay Company ('The Bay') no longer just traps beavers and weaves blankets, they have a large department store something like a Macy's or Nordstrom. There were several shops, eateries, and a Sky Train station located adjacent to the department store. I recalled mention of a Nespresso cafe in the station, so I thought I could check down there for directions to the boutique. However, no fare = no access to the station. But, I did spot an ad pointing to the boutique being located inside Hudson's Bay!!! Returning back up stairs and entering the department store proper, I found a directory by the elevators listing Nespresso on the 5th fl. It is just set up smack in the middle of housewares. This may be a temporary location due to construction, so double check when you get there, but it should be in the actual department store. Once we found it we were greeted immediately by friendly and helpful staff who were happy to give tastings of all the pods, and we chatted with fellow and prospective customers. The gentleman who helped us had previously worked for DeLonghi and had good knowledge of the equipment. I would definitely recommend going to a boutique if you have one nearby for Nespresso newbies, or if you want to try out a new/limited-edition pod. read more

Highly personlized and professional customer service! Visiting the one and only Nespresso boutique in Vancouver is reminiscent of a posh lounge. The shiny white interior pegged with the colourful coffee capsules is a treat for the eyes. Don't be surprised if you are invited to try their products when you visit their boutique. They are more than happy to whisk you away to their pristine coffee bar. The sampling of their espressos is an experience in it's itself. Never are you rushed or pressured to purchase anything. If you are interested, the personnel are eager to give you an abundance of information. I never knew that there were so many dimensions to an espresso. (Note: This is not like a Costco sample table where the cranky staff member gives you a dirty look for taking 2 crackers.) Perched on the bar stool at the Nespresso coffee bar, sipping your espresso with square of dark chocolate is a sublime experience. The store personnel possess outstanding product knowledge. Quite amazing... since they have over 16 espresso varieties, several different accessory lines, and a number of machines. I am under the assumption that they all underwent a vigorous training program. Nespresso constantly tries to engage their clients with new products. From ever-changing limited edition espresso varieties, to their own line of sugars, chocolate, and drink recipe books. You can purchase Nespresso machines from a number of retailers in Greater Vancouver. This boutique in the lower level of The Bay (Pacific Centre) is the only place where you can purchase your Nespresso capsules. (unless you want to order online). If you are a caffeine fiend, like myself, give Nespresso a try... it's "liquid heaven". read more

Nespresso coffee is the coffee of my choice; I use their capsules and machines daily at work and at home, and I often wish for a similar experience when I'm travelling. This Nespresso boutique was an amazing find - complimentary coffee for a club member. Don't expect any pastries or soft drinks - just very, very good coffee. Tip - it's a bit difficult to find the place, as the address is irrelevant - you have to go down into the skytrain station; the cafe is next to a suitcase store. read more

It is the only nespresso boutique in Vancouver. The store is conveniently located at the bottom level of the Bay (sky train level) and their customer service is pretty awesome. Whenever you stop in to buy the capsules they give you a free sample of their espresso. They have all the nespresso machines available along with their espresso cups and saucers. One thing I will say though is that sometimes other kitchen ware stores have sales on Nespresso machines but I don't think I've ever seen their machine on sale at this main store. So if you are looking to buy one, maybe check them out in kitchen ware in the Bay (I believe it is on 5th floor). And now they will take back the used capsules and they will recycle them for you. read more

I'm glad they left this location open. I don't want to go up to the 5th floor of the Bay to get my coffee. The staff are generally very nice. Service has always been good. Love the coffee bar. I can try different flavours before I purchase them. Some of the customers can be annoying sitting by the coffee bar. I'm glad they only let members drink the coffee for free. Otherwise all the yahoos would be hanging out there. read more

Well... What can I say about this place, other than they provide some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I made the mistake of stumbling on this place around two years ago, and was warmly welcomed and was asked if I have ever heard of Nespresso before? Well...I said...no, tell me more...and well did they ever do a good job. They sat me down with a tasting of one of the best coffee's I have ever had; I went back a few days later and bought a Machine. 2 years after I bought my Machine and Airachino (Milk Steamer), I had problems with the Airachino it self, so, I took just the Airachino back, out of warranty, with no questions asked, they exchanged my milk steamer for a brand new one. Now, every time I pass by the Bay downtown, I stop in and have a coffee, and since I own a Machine, the coffee is complementary. I really love this place, and I would recommend anyone who loves coffee and better yet, good customer service to go see these guys downtown. read more

Place gets a 1 star. A bit dirty location in spite of having many staff members. A bit of a disconnect from the posh brand vs an unkempt boutique. There are more lavish Timmys than this place. Staff gets a 2. Depends who you get. There's no standard service. There are those who don't smile and act like they are unhappy to be there. Others seem to be too good for that place. Others shouldn't be in customer service. Location gets a 1. Basement of a dying mall just above a Skytrain? Bad Wi-Fi and iffy phone signal? Inventory of capsules is a 5. Stock of machine is a 3. Not being able to work direct with the Nespresso Club: 0 You can't get a machine you bought from Nespresso from this place because at the end of the day, this is not a Nespresso place, this is a The Bay boutique masquerading as Nespresso. read more

The current manager (blonde bob) is not friendly. Bad attitude. Doesn't listen well, just curtly spouts off facts about the coffee in an annoyed salesperson tone. It's unpleasant. Been coming here for years now... and the one sales associate who stands out the most each and every time is Amir! He is fantastic, caring, remembers our names and is so personable. I like to come in only when he is working but I'm not always that lucky! He gave my husband and I coffee even when we came in just to drop off used coffee pucks. I love my Nespresso machine and enjoy the convenience of excellent coffee at home. Wanting to restock on pods, I went in search of the Nespresso store as I imagined a shopping experience as fun and enjoyable as my machine. However, as other reviewers have stated, the location was nearly impossible to find. Google Maps and Yelp both show the location as in the Sinclair Centre (the 'store' is actually located in the basement of the Bay) and the store's 1800 number provides a French voicemail recording with no way to select English or to speak to a real human. The Nespresso staff were efficient, but unremarkable. The offer of a coffee after purchase was a nice touch, however after waiting a few minutes without acknowledgement, I decided to go to an actual cafe with friendly service. I'm grateful to have finally located the store, however will be purchasing online from now on. read more

This is actually located inside The Bay on the lower level. I came here during the Christmas period as my girlfriend wanted to get her dad one of these machines. Selection was awesome, presentation was sleek and the staff were very helpful. My only issue with these machines is getting the refills which aren't available like the other machine brand in a variety of stores. You either have to come back here to buy the pods or order on-line which is annoying. read more

Service is a bit pretentious and not very friendly or forthcoming. We are greeted, but overall it feels like the staff are a bit wary of their customers and I'm pretty sure I've never really seen a smile from any of the staff (have visited multiple times). The bar staff are polite and courteous, and only talk to you if you prompt them, which I guess is nice (perhaps they wanted us to enjoy our samples in peace). We were told it's not a problem to ask for multiple samples, which was nice as I was curious about the vertuo line but also wanted to try out the indriya. The hazelnut flavor from the vertuo line is enough to make me want to purchase a second machine... but can't justify the cost :( One recent incident stood out for me, however. Two older Chinese women came in and asked for a "dark one and a light one". They were told that samples are for nespresso members only and turned away. I thought that was strange - the staff didn't even ask them if they were members but I guess it was "obvious"??? read more

Machines are good, but try to find replacement parts!! I have been given every run around possible. There is one crappy web site that only has a few random parts that do not cover all machines they sell. Truly frustrating as my $700 machine is now a paper weight! There is no parts index anywhere which also makes ordering difficult. Just found out it will take 2weeks + for a $6 part to arrive . It would be cheaper for me to now buy a $200 machine than buy my espresso drinks out in this waiting period. STEP IT UP NESPRESSO ! read more
