I went around 130ish and there were some ppl but no line and best part, no long wait time for my order. Was done in less than 10 mins. Yay! I was hungry tooo. The fries i could do without. They are the old school crinkled ones that are nice n big but dry af. They look good at first but will give you cotton mouth type of fries. I bet they're great with their chili! Having once lived in the area, I used to eat here every now and then. The burger at that time, years ago was very good, something special, A great burger is not all that common, and it used to be great. So today I tried it again. It was definitely a spur of the moment thing. I had never been to the "new" location, so that dates the gap in between meal there. I ordered a Nessy burger and onion rings. As I sat in the dining area which is outdoors, I realized how dirty my first choice table was. There were bird droppings all over the place. there were so many birds, that I was reminded of and old Alfred Hitchcock movie, coincidentally called, "The Birds". They have umbrellas over the tables, which have been bombed by birds. I came back with my meal and it became hand to beak combat with the little pests, who kept jumping on the seats and table to go for my food. These birds were a distraction, a needed one as it turns out, as although the onion rings were very good, the burger was a semi warm mass of a dry and tasteless item, absolutely nothing special and not memorable in the least. The meat was tasteless, the buns were cold and tasteless, a trip to McDonalds would have been a better choice and that is not saying much. As I was finishing most of the burger so as not to completely waste my money, an employee finally came out and cleaned some tables. Although the place was pretty busy, I don't get it. Must be loyalty. Suggestions would include seasoning for the burger. The meat was very dry and chewy. I think there was cheese, but it sure didn;'t taste that way. As far as the setting goes, maybe I have become more in tune with things but sitting in an area full of birds and bird sh*t is not my idea off being very appetizing. Some places may have ideas in how to reduce the number of the pests. Maybe look into that. I may have missed it, but I was looking for the health dept. rating. I rarely do that. This is off the 15 Freeway next to a liquor store. I've been coming here since I was little so it's super nostalgic and a good stop on the way north! Parking: There's always parking in the parking lot! Seating: There's only outdoor seating but we tend to run into issues with birds and bugs so I'd recommend eating in your car. It definitely tastes best eating asap though. Sirloin Steak Sandwich: I always get this rare, but my brother gets it medium rare. It tastes pretty similar to a carne asada torta but americanized and with steak sauce. 10/10 Fries: their Crinkle Cut fries are so fun to eat! It's a classic for a reason. The Nessy burger is hefty yet perfectly proportioned, with a generously thick beef patty and chock full of flavor. We sampled a number of items on the menu, including the chili cheese fries and the breakfast burger, but the original Nessy burger is hands down the way to go. The breakfast burger is identical to the Nessy but with the addition of two fried eggs, which didn't quite seem to jive with the rest of it; there was too many flavors competing with each other. The chili fries are pretty good, but they don't lay the chili or cheese on thick like some places, so it'll depend on how you like 'em. We stopped by Nessy Burgers in Fallbrook on the way back from Ontario Airport. I wasn't sure if they were going to be open because it was only 9:30 in the morning. But they are open from 7 to 7 every day. My brother and I both got a nessy burger and we split a large fry. The fries were large enough for 4 people. I could only eat one fourth of my burger and my brother only ate half as his. They are also very generous with their condiments. They ask you if you want jalapenos, ranch dressing, 1000 island dressing, or ketchup. Each table has their own salt and pepper shaker, and napkin dispenser. Usually you have to wait in a long line, and we call in our order before we get there. But we didn't have to today since it was so early in the morning. They also serve breakfast items, which I didn't know. There's always plenty of parking. So if you're in the area, you should definitely stop buying, give them a try. read more

Piece of cabbage with some Mayo/ketchup mix. Nothing special but a wannabe burger that didn't even taste good. One bite after the other didn't satisfy my likeness of the place. Sadly, it never even met the average backyard burger. Then again, since no fries this was the only thing I ate. The menu did have other things, that I might give a shot another day. It seems they have a breakfast burger, nachos, chili cheese fries and few other things. Maybe that's why it's a popular spot here off the fwy, fast, convenient and simple menu! Lots of truckers, outdoors men, and tourist shared the tables with me that day. Which is also another plus I want to add, great seating with 2 different sections. We got the Original Nessy Burger, Double Nessy Burger, large nessy fries and cheese fries. Great burger, but nothing special about it that would make me drive all the way up here just to go to. I can see how they do well, because out in Fallbrook there really isn't that many restaurants and this one is conveniently located right off the 15 freeway at the 76/Pala exit. We used to frequent Nessy burger in high school around 2010 or so. I recall it being very good, so when we were in the area visiting someone we stopped by for lunch before heading home. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed by the food, and happened to also receive not very great service. The burgers look like they're going to be delicious, but they were under salted and the sauce on them was boring/ not very flavorful. Overall, it tasted similar to when you eat a very subpar homemade burger. I did appreciate that it tasted not processed and the beef patty was clearly hand made, but overall flavor was just very much lacking. Additionally, we got the onion rings and again, they were super under-salted and just very boring. The fact that I had one bite of one and did not want to go back for more is a huge sign that they were not good. As for the service aspect, my husband ordered to go, and the person helping him seemed irritated and had very lazy communication skills. Overall, not a great experience and would recommend skipping if you're hoping to have a tasty meal. Unfortunately, it looks like this place has gone downhill and the only reason why they're a float is because they're the only sit down food place in the area. NOT worth the distance drive. We recently took our family here for some family dine out time and let me say save yourself. FOOD: Fries were hard as a rock. Turkey burger was flat and paper thing and also burnt. Bread of the burgers were dry. My daughters ordered their hot dog plain with ketchup and the dog was also burnt.
