Ricardo was knowledgeable and passionate about fixing my PC problems. Originally I came to Nettech because the computer store I went to for years stopped taking walk-in customers. My power button stopped working and at Nettech they fixed the problem in 4-6 hours. I went again to upgrade my video card and Ricardo suggested I replace my hardrive and thermal paste--I was experiencing crashing and overheating. So I did this suggested repair and my computer runs like brand new. No more loud noise when working and crashing when gaming. Incredibly poor service from the proprietor as well as his "technician". I did find this company to have poor service, and poor people skills generally. Very poor response times as well as very disorganized and very unprofessional. I found their pricing moderate, however due to their complete lack of ability their work quality is ineffective. I would not trust this company with any type of serious work at all, anything regarding warranty and anything that has to do with an important item. Nettech Computers is a prime example of a diamond in the rough. With competitors like BestBuy or Fry's Electronics, its a surprise to find them in busines. This isn't a bad thing though because man is this place the dopest! I was able to purchase everything I needed for a quick PC tune up for a fair price. I came here to buy a laptop. These guys are the worst computer store you'll ever be in. They have a few on display, and that's what they'll push you on. If you don't want those, then they'll just tell you what the have in the back based on what you want. They never have anything that matches 100% on what you want, instead they'll just say "well no it doesn't have that, but it has 8GB RAM man" type of wording to trick you into buying something. Also they'll act like you're dumb by telling you things like "trust me, I know what I'm talking about", even though I know for a fact they don't because I worked in the computer field. For instance, I explained I wanted to return the laptop I originally got because the backlight comes from the bottom of the screen instead of all along the side or from behind (so if you tilt the display down or up a certain way, it distorts the color/image because the lighting is shining upward instead of all around or behind the image). Guess what they tell me... "Oh, it's the privacy filter". Yet nowhere on the box does it say it has that, and it's not a privacy filter because you can still see the display, it's just darkened in some areas. Plus it was a cheap laptop, why would it automatically come with a privacy filter??? And the way they both said it, you can tell they were trying to give any excuse as to why it's happening instead of realizing that what I was saying was true. It's like they hated being told what was wrong with it. Also, they mess with your new laptop before you even get it because they "like to have everything done for you so you don't have to". Awesome for some people, but idk about you, I don't like others touching my brand new product and selling it to me as if it was never touched. They ended up selling me an Acer that was brand new in the box, and he tried to tell me to come back tomorrow to get it because they want to do all the updates and make sure it's ready to use??? What?! I told him no and I'll do that myself. Makes me wonder if they rake the prices higher then normal due to just that reason alone because I found this exact laptop from Asus directly for $200 cheaper!!! On top of that, their sales are final. No returns, and you can only exchange for the same exact product (like a warranty), yet their return policy on the paperwork says differently... But we won't get into that. I luckily got them to return the laptop I originally purchased before the Acer that I absolutely hated (with that backlight problem) and I was able to exchange it for something better... But, instead of the $750 price he said he give that specific laptop to me for, he changed it back to $805 and said that he would never give it away for $750 and it's that way because of how progressive leasing works. Even though the day before he said he'd be able to let it go for $750 on progressive. Then the guy decides to bribe me into staying at the $805 by giving me free crap like a Bluetooth Dongle and said he'd only give the Bluetooth to me if I wrote a great review on Yelp. Well, instead of that "great review", I'm writing the truth. I hope you shop anywhere else for your computer needs. These guys feed on people who don't know anything about computers!! I only purchased from them because I honestly don't care what I get and how much it is, but anyone who's on a budget like most people are, you'll get ripped off here!!
