We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.

This place has been around forever, probably one of the oldest businesses on Kietzke, I have…read moreshopped here for both fishing tackle and firearms accessories and the shop is always well staffed and the salespeople know their stuff. If you want advice from hunters and fishermen who actually have lots of experience doing both in Northern Nevada, this is where you go. My only complaint is the prices, which are going to be more than just about anywhere else in town but I suppose that is how you keep the shop well staffed with knowledgeable people, but still puts it in the "if I can't find it anywhere else, I bet I can find it here" category. And the parking can be a headache when it is busy.

Since when do you need to redo a certification to pick up a firearm when the background check already cleared just because it's been more than 24 hours. If time is such an issue then why had Nicole the "general manager" or another associate not call my husband to inform him his background check cleared. Nicole almost cancelled the sale because of apt vs unit (telling my husband to change it even though you're unable to once the form is submitted). And there is no law that prohibits a person from telling the person completing a 4473 how to spell something or being a second set of eyes. We have purchased many firearms and have never had an issue being a second set of eyes for each other. She had an attitude, rolling her eyes when my husband asked to check the weapon before we left the store. How Nicole is the general manager, is beyond me. She doesn't know to how use the register and iPad, continually needing to be on the phone with other associates to director her on how to use said equipment.. or how to interact with customers in a professional manner. And who the hell uses their teeth to cut tape? I'll pay more at Scheels where they know what they're doing and how to treat customers instead of going on a damn power trip.

I had issues getting the Buy 1, Get 1, 50% Off Sale applied to my purchase and then had to wait additional time to get my husband's Military Discount. Regardless, it was a good deal, so I came back to get 2 more Shorts the following day. When it was time to pay, there was no issue applying the sale, but we noticed the amounts didn't match when they should've been the same . Nick was able to see that in the previous purchase only a 5% and not a 10% Military Discount had been applied, so he made the necessary adjustments. I didn't even have to ask, he just made it right. What a difference from the Customer Service I recieved on Sunday. I hope somebody in management reads this review and rewards Nick for the awesome job!

These share only basic DNA with the Huffy and Schwinn bikes I grew up riding and tricking out. I stopped in because something had come loose. I got my bike off my rack all by my lonesome -smile- and waited. The gentleman that came out was very nice and took my bike in and set up my whole repair situation. I felt confident I was in good hands. After missing my bike for a few days, I realized I had no receipt or proof that I had handed over my bike. I remembered something about an email receipt but couldn't find one, so I called. Got their automated phone reply that they would call me. No call. Still missing my bike desperately and worrying about no receipt I called again. Same automated reply that they would call me. On day 10, the estimated finish date, I went down to the shop and parked in the loading dock area and tried to get in. Couldn't so I called, surprisingly they answered, and served up a little attitude about a front door. Whatever! A shorter gentleman let me in and said he hadn't called me back yet, as they are closed on Mondays, it was Tuesday, and the earlier call was not returned either. He let me know the parts just came in and it would probably be done that day. No call. I got an automated text that my bike was ready for pick up...after they had closed for the day. I picked up the following day. Same shorter guy with attitude but I did see the nicer original guy. He apparently doesn't have an issue with people coming and going out the loading dock area and allowed me to take my bike that way, unfortunately I wasn't parked back there, due to attitude guy from day before. The guy with polka dot socks is super nice too. Overall a good experience, and my bike has never been so clean... one star reduction for attitude and no call backs.

This facility gets bonus points for being fully self sustainable with the hot springs and solar. The rates are reasonable with discounts on Wednesday evening and Sunday. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

Just an update from my first review 10 years ago…read more The walking path between the east end of Riverside Drive and the Booth Street bridge is now open!!!! The pathway is now double the width and does some gentle meandering around the trees. It will be a lot more accessible for people with mobility issues. The new landscaping is beautiful. The banks of the river have been raised and reinforced to decrease flooding damage. And just a reminder- dogs and other pets are still welcome and must be leashed or otherwise contained. Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not allowed. This is one of the top places to visit in downtown.

There are placards lining a half mile loop that you can easily walk through and see what remains from a grand hotel with a dark past and a kinda dark history to follow. There is beautiful green grass with several picnic tables and grills available. You won't believe that you are right off the highway because when you're here you are completely surrounded by beautiful nature! And they have these beautiful fishing ponds! They were bursting with frogs, baby fish and tadpoles. We all really enjoyed our visit and will be returning!

There is plenty of parking, bathrooms and paths and signage to help you find your way. There is a primary dirt path that makes a large mile long loop through the main park area. The history of the area is very interesting. During the week, you feel like you have the park to yourself. I imagine it gets quite busy during the summer and on weekends. A very nice park, free admission (your tax dollars at work) spectacular views of the mountains, and a great way to learn about the history of the area.

Barry provided great customer service from the start. I sent an e-mail requesting information and he called me on the phone. We discussed what type of riding I do and he helped me select the right bike. When I arrived for my rental, everything was ready. The KTM 1290 Adventure R was a late model bike in great conditions. While I expected side cases to come with the rental, Barry also included a tank bag and GPS. We again discussed my desired ride type and he gave me great recommendations and a few maps for my two days of riding. Barry then went over all of the the particulars of the bike and the high tech speedometer and I was off. The riding was spectacular and Barry's recommendations could not have been better. When I stopped for lunch I noticed that in addition to all of the other great gear, there was a Corbin aftermarket seat and a Titanium silencer! This made a great bike even more comfortable and enjoyable to ride! I have rented from Eagle Rider which was excellent and Barry and NAR set the bar even higher with upgraded equipment and superior customer service. I have to figure out how to return to Reno and rent from NAR again! read more

ok, absolutely your best choice if you are looking to ride the sierra's, nevada back road discovery, or any adventure, touring, or dual sport in NV or CA. They have a great selection of bikes and everything you need ... riding gear, camping equipment, tent, pad, cooking and utensils, seriously, I was amazed. I was treated with total white glove service, airport pickup and drop off, route recommendations, itnierary review and advice, gear, choice of bike, awesomeness. I could have just landed with the clothes on my back and got everything I needed for an extended trip. I called him 30 minutes before I left for CA and we are good ... I throw my gear together and have the best riding experience of my life. Rented a very nice KTM, Barry and the guys were very helpful with where to ride. Very good value for bike and equipment. When I called I was somewhat expecting that maybe I could only ride it within a 10 ft circle as long as one foot remained on the ground. But after getting comfortable with my experience the bike was mine, I felt like I owned it and wanted to take it home. This is the same bike you would leave the show room, only accessories were for comfort and convenience. I spent most of the time off road, huge amounts of land, trails and unpaved roads to explore or go from point A to point be, even to Virginia City, roads or trails or combo. On this trip I was in Reno for gambling and air races, next trip probably specifically for an adventure on one of NARs bikes. read more

Above and beyond what I expected. Barry and Glenn did an amazing job getting me set up with a Honda Africa Twin and the associated riding gear. They even showed me the best routes to take on a tour of Lake Tahoe and gave me the insider info on a couple of cool, off-the-beaten path spots. It made for an incredible experience because 1) the gear performed and I did not have to worry about mechanical issues 2) the routes they recommended had some of the best curves and scenery. These guys are passionate about outdoor activities and will go out of their way to ensure that each customer gets exactly what they're looking for. read more

Wow, Berry far exceeded my expectations. His bikes were in spectacular condition and he even prepped the bikes with soft luggage at our request. You could tell from the first conversation he was a detail oriented guy and he would have the bikes completely ready for an extended trip in the back country. The tool kits and spare parts he had ready for us were exactly what I would have packed from home. He even run compatible power for us to the tank bags. Very friendly staff. NAR offers something very difficult to find, dirt bike rentals and equipment for children under 18. We rented 2 dirt bikes one day (me and one of my boys), then came back the very next day and rented 3 dirt bikes (me and both my boys). We hauled the dirt bikes to Moon Rock park each day for trail riding. All the dirt bikes were in good shape and operated without any issues. For those that enjoy dirt biking, this place offers great rental bikes and equipment. We'll definitely rent again. Bonus: Free t-shirts the first day. read more

We planned a ride to Reno/Tahoe for our 33rd anniversary with riders from Las Vegas and Idaho. Upon arriving my drive belt broke the morning or our first planned ride. After calling the bike shops in the Carson city/Reno area to repair my bike or rent one, with no success. I tried Nevada adventure rentals. Barry was very accommodating that morning. I drove down from Oregon recently and rented a perfect Tiger 800XC from Barry at NAR. Did a fabulous solo ride through Tahoe and the Gold Country. Barry's equipment is outstanding and he really went out of his way to help me plan a great route for my 3-day adventure. I plan to make a regular habit of renting bikes from Barry and riding the incredible terrain he has to offer just outside his homebase in Reno. Best motorcycle rental experience I've ever had! Barry is the man! hooked me up with a brand new dirt bike for a very reasonable price - I showed up somewhat unprepared and he had everything to rent from a backpack to multiple types of boots. I had an absolute BLAST in the moon rocks area in reno. I spent hours enjoying every minute of it! I can't imagine what this guy could setup for a multi-day trip... This was definitely one of the coolest things I've ever done on a bike - there's no question you should do it! P.S. - front brakes dont work in sand all that well... read more

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! My husband and I rented a side by side for a day. We returned it clean and full of fuel. Two days later, we were informed an under arm was damaged. Because the owner was agitated we called and asked questions, he not only kept our 3500.00 deposit for the1200.00 repair, BUT he charged us an additional 2000.00 for the days the ATV was supposedly unable to be rented. The guy in his shop said he never did that before. The owner was too spineless to call us, instead he avoided us. 6000.00 DOLLARS!!!! read more

Awesome trip this past Sept 2017 with my good buddy Myron.. we rented KTM 690's 2017's in perfect shape with side Bags, tools, Tire repair kits and GPS and many many extras - things I would never think of.. We hit the Sierra Mountains with another buddy Randy Brazie with Dixie Duel Sport Club and what an adventure we had! Great service from Barry and his wife! Airport pick up and I rented everything, riding Suit, helmet and boots and gloves... all top line equipment ... I would highly recommend !!! read more

SIX STARS GIVEN, BUT YELP IS TOO CHEAP;these guys are the best,friendly , helpful, took us out to beautiful desert country with the ATVS and told us to go have fun, which we did. Great adventure to have in your life. This place is awesome, will come back again. Barry and Glen took very good care of us, planned out scenic routes, adjusted the routes during our ride due to forest fires, and was always in communication with us before and during the ride. I won't come to Reno without a visit to NAR. Barry and staff catered the perfect ATV experience. I didn't have anything I needed to ride.
