We stopped pretty late at night, but there was no hold on the food. The place seemed pretty clean and the service was friendly. One thing I noticed is that upon both entering and leaving the diner, the manager greeted us. He seemed friendly and genuine and it was nice to see a diner where everything was running smoothly. The Nevada Diner has the best French Toast in the world. Order it with strawberries and it will melt in your mouth. The chicken pot pie is great and needs just a little more seasoning. The soups are always salty, the meat is always burned, nothing tastes fresh (think microwavable or frozen food). There are many choices on the menu but no "go-to" decent food. Finally found our way here for Sunday dinner. Let's start with the good. Parking easy and no wait for table. Water, Saltines, coffee, Caesar Salad and asparagus were fine. Appetizers of calamari, rubbery, zucchini sticks over done. Cream of turkey soup was far too thick and tasted of raw flour and barely lukewarm. OK fine, I'm going to upgrade my review. Yes, some of the servers here are not so great and/or a bit crazy. However, overall the quality of the food is definitely above par for diners and pretty reliably good. The desserts are also quite excellent. All I have to say is that the food is always fresh and made with quality ingredients. And the menu just goes on and on! You can pretty much get anything you want and they have some creative options that goes beyond your standard burger, fries or chicken fingers. Had dinner with my brothers Saturday night and the food was alright, nothing extraordinary. I personally had the spinach lasagna difficult to eat because the whole plate was smothered in cheese, and parts of the lasagna were hard, I think they microwaved my dish.
