Everything was OUTSTANDING! Food and service!!!!! Ambiance a great diner atmosphere!!!!

From the moment we pulled into the ample parking lot, we knew we were in for a treat. This was our first time visiting All Star Diner, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. We were greeted immediately upon entering and made to feel incredibly welcome in such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu is impressive, offering a beautiful selection of everything from breakfast to dinner. I personally loved the blueberry pancakes, and the scrambled eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. My loved one thoroughly enjoyed the chicken scampi; the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. Our only small note for next time would be to request a little extra spice to kick it up a notch, but the flavors were already spot on. A few other highlights: * Cream of Turkey Soup: Absolutely delicious and a must-try! * Reese's Pieces Cheesecake: We ended our Sunday evening with this, and it was the perfect finale. The plate was even decorated in such a festive way - it truly felt special. What really made the night, however, was our server, Alexandra. She was a total professional and an absolute gem. From sandwiches (chicken salad, BLT) to various breakfast options (omelettes, eggs benes, pancakes, breakfast quesadillas), not to mention their corn beef hash and generous salads, things are always good. The place has the typical diner decor, and was nicely strung with FIFA teams' country flags throughout the dining area. The place gets crowded, so service tends to be as good as it can be based on the number of customers. But their food is tasty, nicely portioned and reasonably priced. read more

This Diner is a must in your rotation. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Average crowded but nothing crazy. They have a full parking lot and an adequate sitting area while you wait. Our waitress was excellent. Very attentive and personable. I got The Mustang omelet which consisted of chicken, avocado, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Not only was it very tasty, the portion was huge and the price wasn't ridiculous. Omelet came with a side of home fries and toast as well. As usual, I also got a side of corned beef hash, which is always a must for me. The Corned Beef hash was average but the Omelet stole the show. 10/8/24: Definitely recommend The Allwood DIner. It's one of NJ's better diners. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. When you enter the restaurant, there's a enclosed case filled with good looking desserts. Customer service is good here. We ordered wraps- one Caesar and one Bacon and Cheddar Chicken. When I received the Bacon and Cheddar Chicken, the bacon was nice and crispy- just how I requested it. The Waffle fries were very warm and perfectly seasoned. The wraps are very filling. I took half of mine home for dinner. The Allwood Diner does have takeout and delivery. The diner has a pretty decent parking area. However, it still could be much bigger. read more

Came here on Easter Sunday for a quick breakfast before the movies and was very happy with my choice. There's a parking lot attached to the facility, so that's always a plus. Was greeted by a human Easter Bunny at the doorway which I thought was very thoughtful. I was seated at the counter as I was dining solo. I ordered cappuccino, French toast with eggs and bacon. Jack of all trades, master of none. Allwood Diner remains one of the better diner options in the area, especially since the renovation (a while ago). So many options ranging from soup, all-day breakfast, pasta, salmon or roast beef dinner, sandwiches and burgers, to name a few. Nothing really blows me away as the best dish I've ever had but great dining option for an indecisive group. We were fortunate enough to be accommodated with our large group of 8 during a weeknight dinner service. The place was busy with families enjoying their dinners and desserts. The waitstaff was patient and helpful as we organized our large and diverse group order. Everything came out hot and at the same time, with no order missed. I ordered the caesar wrap with a side of disco fries. The wrap comes grilled and so the salad was a warm and weird wilted texture, which I did not particularly enjoy. My wife and I went for dinner today at 4pm. We were seated promptly. After 15 minutes we asked the two young women bullshiting at the receptionist desk for help. The snippy response was someone caame before you give him a second. In other words wait your turn. Normally I would care but her response was nasty and uncalled for. Stopped by the Allwood diner for breakfast and it was amazing. The place was packed, but the waitress was still super quick with our food, very attentive, and friendly. I got the western omelette with a side of bacon and it was terrific. The bacon was crispy and the omelette was cooked to perfection. Can't go wrong with the home fries either. I really love this diner! It's always packed so expect to wait 20 minutes or so. I went today for breakfast and sat at the coffee bar. It was almost if not more comfortable than a regular table. I had a healthy breakfast- it was egg white scrambled, grilled chicken & a fruit cup for $15.00. Nice portion and tasty. If I have to make a complaint, I do not love cantaloup fruit- I would prefer strawberries, blueberries, & pineapple but it wasn't to be. I got some grapes but mostly the latter. We walked in and instantly started drooling at the dessert case. It wasn't very busy at 2pm on a Saturday. We were seated right away (5 people) and the waitress was very friendly and patient with us. The turkey BLT was huge and the turkey was thickly cut and delicious, so fresh. The fries were great too. I saw people eating them and had to get the fries. The chocolate milkshake wasn't too sweet (which was good) and also not very thick, you can definitely use a straw. Some people like milkshakes thick some people like them thin. Very capable diner, big portions, tasty and welcoming. Every time we go, we have to bring home leftovers. Surprisingly their house salad which comes with meals were very fresh and tasty. Came to eat with a friend and we were seated right away, but ended up waiting over 10 minutes while three other tables--seated after us and literally a foot away--had their orders taken. On this trip to see my son and young grandchildren, I've been coming here to relax and get away. That being said, I've found this little rehab's jewel. The menu is a plenty. Only because my regular diner wasn't taking delivery orders at the time. I ordered through Uber Eats and it was delivered in a fairly decent amount of time. I sat down put everything out and was getting ready to eat when I realized there was a long piece of hair grilled into my chicken. I about threw up at the side of it. I am so disgusted, I threw everything away. When I called the restaurant the girl apologized and said I would have to go through Uber Eats to get my refund. I don't know what else I was expecting but I don't know, I just thought a simple apology was odd and no offer to replace the food, not that I would have taken it.
