Dr lee is very nice, but the staff keeps you waiting for no apparent reason. I had an appointment to schedule surgery at 145. I could see there was no one on the office with her. I still waited 20min. It's things like this that make you want some one else. The staff is lazy. read more

I should have read the reviews before going to this clinic. I'm scheduled for an eye surgery on Monday and here it is the Friday before and nobody has called me for the time of the surgery. My son is driving me to the surgery center and he has to take off from work. I've called them twice and it's almost midday and still no calls from them. So irritating to say the least. read more

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance and when I arrived I had to wait an hour and still was not seen by the eye doctor. I asked the receptionist upon arriving if there was a long wait and was told there were 2 people in front of me. I waited and the 2 people already went in to see the doctor for their eye exam. The waiting room was empty and about 15 minutes later two more people came in after me and were seen before me. I was still waiting at this point. I was originally told that only 2 patients were in front of me! I guess the receptionist moved me to the bottom of the wait list for whatever reason. I went there yesterday to get my eyes checked. Dr. Lee and that guy who put those weird drops in my eyes are very nice people and all, and, yes, the office is clean and the women working there have very good intentions and, therefore, mean well. However, one of those well-meaning women informed us that my Medicaid doesn't covery everything about my would-be new glasses and the only problem is my narcissistic, horrible psycho "mother", who took it the wrong way. First, she threw a loud temper tantrum in front of the whole place and forced me to watch helplessly, even verbally abusing those poor women who didn't even get paid to listen to her bullshit, all the while deliberately misgendering me as a "she" (I'm actually a nonbinary folk who prefers going by the "they/them" pronouns instead (pffft, fucking baby boomers)), and then as soon as we left the place, she started taking her unbridled anger out on me, even screaming in my face, calling me names that I'd rather not repeat, cussing me out, telling me to die, roaring like a bear and driving down the streets like a maniac, even when I had to scream at her to stop the yelling, the noise, falsely accused me of stealing her money and having several boyfriends, blamed me for everything, even things that just made no sense (including the fact that, according to my good old grandma, my Medicaid doesn't have enough money to pay for my eye exam over there) and even tried to take away my rights to choose as well as my right to bodily autonomy (off-topic, I know). Then she decided that she plans to sue you people for nothing besides money and trying to make you miserable because unlike you, all she cares about is money. From now on, starting from next time, I will only come back there again alone and not with her. As for you wonderful ladies working in that place, I'm so sorry about her psychotic behavior. read more

If I could give a negative score I would. My mother likely needed cataract surgery. Her former Eye Doctor went into private practice and she needed a Doctor. I spent a few weeks looking for eye physicians and decided we would see Dr. Darrick Neibaur. He seemed to have a good reputation and I read that he saw Sen Harry Reid when he hurt his eye. Made an appointment easily. Went to the Southwest Ft. Apache Office. Right away, there was a negative vibe. We were not going to an optometrist for eye glasses - we were seeing a board certified ophthalmologist and I expected a certain level of professionalism. While waiting, we were seated right outside a small office. Behind the desk was a woman who was not a nurse or a doctor. She was speaking with an elderly woman. I could hear the entire conversation and it was nothing more than a very high-pressure sales pitch. She was telling the woman that the $3,000 additional in cash that her insurance did not cover was for laser surgery which is "better"and then giving her a multitude of choices for her cataract lens and each choice she gave increased in price and was also not covered by insurance. The poor woman was so confused that I wanted to go in there to help but restrained myself. The saleswoman was likely paid on a commission basis and if she wasn't, then she was actually trained to behave like that which is just awful. It was so unprofessional. I thought I was sitting through a time share presentation rather than a patient in the waiting room of a specialty physician's office. I thought about all the elderly people that do not have an advocate and really felt sorry for that woman since she was being intimidated and likely buying services that she did not need or could afford. At this point, I knew I was in the wrong place and went up to the front desk to tell the receptionist that I did not want to stay. Another woman overheard and said that Dr. Neibaur was her Doctor and he really was great. (I happened to see her afterward and wondered if she was a plant) Against my better judgment, I decided to let my mother see him. She was taken for tests by technicians and they were nice and seemed competent. Dr. Neibaur came in and the two nicest words I could use to describe his demeanor are arrogant and condescending. He said that she likely had glaucoma - and he was right on that. He said that she needed cataract surgery and he was right on that -- but I already knew that. He talked about laser surgery. I inquired a bit about cost, especially after what I heard outside, and let him know she was a senior on a budget and you could just feel that he felt the whole conversation was beneath him. He said that he could do "regular" surgery. Almost like he was doing us a favor. He wrote her a prescription for pressure drops that she would need to take and we made an appointment for a lens fitting. I wasn't thrilled and was going to research more. When I went to the pharmacy the Pharmacist wanted to know if I was sure I wanted this medication. I hadn't had time to research the meds yet so I asked, "Why - does it have bad effects?" She said no but that the cost was $167 month and that there was another medication available made by Bausch and Lomb that most doctors used and it was covered by her plan and the cost would be $8.00 per month or $0 if she used mail order. I had a Pharmacist giving me all this terrific information and even telling me about mail order while a Board Certified Specialist who is a provider on my mother's health plan and who has full access to her computerized health records did not seem to care about what she pays even though I had mentioned she was a senior on a budget. That was when I knew for sure that he was not the Doctor for me. Dr. Neibaur was arrogant and I think my unspoken opinion of him being money hungry was right on target. I even wondered if maybe he received a bonus from the pharmaceutical company for prescribing the way more expensive medication. And if he doesn't receive a kickback or a bonus, then to me it just shows that he does not give a hoot about his patient's circumstances and is certainly not the type of Doctor I would employ for my mother. I emailed my mother's previous Doctor for help and he recommended a physician to me for my Mom and that is the Doctor that performed the surgery. Interestingly, when I asked that Doctor, Dr. Brian Alder, if Laser surgery would be better for my Mom, he said that my mother was not a candidate for Laser surgery because she has a posterior subcapsular cataract. Wow Obviously, I would not recommend Dr. Darrick Neibaur or Nevada Eye and Ear, which has changed their name to Nevada Eye Physicians. If you have no choice but to go there, I would strongly recommend that you bring someone with you. Do not go alone. If they are going to employ heavy-handed sales tactics, then you need to counteract that by having someone with you to assist and keep the sharks at bay. read more

It's horrible and weird. I had an appointment at this clinic at 3:30pm 2/8/18. The front desk did all my paper work prior and thinking I was ready and set to get my eye consultation . I even had a referral to see Dr.Lee. Believing at the time my insurance was all set to go. The eye technician call me in and did my eye exam then later I was to proceed to see Dr. LEE. And in less than 5 minutes I was told by Dr.Lee that he can't do the surgery for my cataract due to complicated issues from my insurance. I wish they would have told me from the beginning so I wouldn't have wasted all that time. I hope they will read this and change the way they run their practice. read more

Waited an hour and 15 minutes to be seen even though I came on time for my appointment. Staff just hangs out in the middle of the hall way on there phones while they have patients waiting in the waiting room. Came in to get an eye and ear exam just like the name says thanks to my doctors referral for an eye and EAR exam but now once I got in after an hour of waiting, once I finished my eye exam I asked so when am I going to get my EAR exam and they responded with oh were sorry were not doing business with the ear doctor anymore. Seriously, I waited an hour just to get an eye exam and not a full examination. If your going to do just eye exams then at least change your company name or notify patients . Such a waste of time never going to them ever again. read more
