There are a lot of things to like here, but it can be better. We had to go up to the counter and ask for our wine twice, it was completely forgotten. When the food arrived, everything was slightly off: The sandwich had tomato when we asked to have it left off. The salad had chicken added even though I ordered it with no chicken. Another meal came with macaroni salad instead of the coleslaw we ordered. Also, while some things were very delicious: the homemade balsamic vinaigrette and the wedge salad, many things lacked flavour: The cucumber salad had virtually no seasoning and tasted like plain sliced cucumbers with something liquid added - tasteless oil? This was my second visit. The first visit was far superior. I want to love this place because we need something like it in downtown Alpharetta. I ordered the same meal both times. Caesar salad with grilled salmon. The first time the salad was delicious the salmon was cooked perfectly. Today - I waited 15 Longer than the rest of my table. When I inquired, I was told that the salmon takes a little longer.That's crazy because Salmon doesn't take long to cook and the Group behind me who also had salmon Already had their food. Mistakes happen - nobody's perfect. However, the way they handled it was surprising. It was like I was putting them out by asking for my food! I asked for a refund right as the salad finally came up in the window -(now it's been 20 minutes). They did refund me and was about to the salad back to the kitchen when I realized I should still get to eat- so they went ahead and delivered it me. When I finally got the salad - the salmon was so dry!! The lettuce was the yucky green leafy part I usually throw away I am usually a very positive person and I love to complement good service. The first visit was a pleasure. We met the owner and were raving about it to neighbors. Now I don't know if I would go back. Too many other amazing places in the area than to spend $16 on an eh meal. Service was excellent even though they were very busy. I was more than disappointed with my lunch. I ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes, the meatloaf was dried out and had thick gravy plus the potatoes didn't appear fresh. It almost seemed like they had served me yesterdays leftovers. They quickly replaced with another dish which I usually love fish and chips. Chips were fine but fish was over cooked, batter too brown. My lunch was $16. plus tax and tip. Right across from Smoke Jacks. I am not sure if the business I spelled right. Time or thyme? Either way . . .Really good. You order, grab a table, they bring the order out when ready. The line was out the door but we still got a seat and our food relatively quickly. I got the Chicken ranch bacon wrap. SO GOOD. Bacon was crispy crumbled not strips which is the way I love it. The chicken is grilled and delicious. The others with me ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich which was huge and delicious and a chicken salad topped salad which I think I'll get next time. Our power is out so we decided to try out the sandwich shop. They have strong wifi , fast service for those that need a quick lunch and excellent sandwiches and sides. Brussels sprouts are very, very good. Balanced with bacon and cranberries and not too sweet. Chicken tortilla soup is not spicy which is great for me but maybe not others. Chicken salad is also good. The short version: disappointing. The long version: I came here with my parents, wanting to try something new. We each got a sandwich, a side, and a fountain drink. It cost 54 dollars. Nothing was bad, but nothing was exceptionally good either. The Corned Beef Reuben and Pastrami were basic sandwiches, nothing special. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes didn't taste at all like garlic - just simple mashed potatoes seasoned with salt. The mac and cheese was pasta shells in a watery, vaguely-creamy sauce with what tasted like crumbled Ritz crackers on top. Some of the Brussels sprouts were burnt. The restaurant itself was nice; it was clean and spacious but felt cozy. The service was good, and the employees were friendly. Again, nothing was necessarily bad. Everything was mediocre, the kind of food you could get at deli, pub, or sandwich shops, but extraordinarily expensive. A return is unlikely. read more

I have never reviewed Never Enough Thyme. Full disclosure I have known the owners for almost 30 years and have ties to them that run much deeper than just this restaurant. I can't really offer an explanation as to why I have not written a review up to now and you the reader probably don't even care. I guess I'm just psychoanalyzing this as I find now, in these stressful thymes, to be the right thyme to offer my thoughts on this Alpharetta institution. In a word, this place is GREAT! It's a combination of well prepared comfort food served with a warm smile, a whimsical giggle and a compassionate heart. It's the kind of place where you want to sit and stay awhile if you can ignore the stare from that hungry person eyeing your table. What's good? Well there are hits all over the menu but two things would cause me to drive to this place wherever it ever moved and that would be the chicken salad and the poppy seed chicken casserole. There is no better chicken salad on the planet than here. It really is "poultry perfection"; it's one of those gotta get your fix foods that needs to be in your refrigerator at all times just in case. The poppy seed chicken is the same sort of addictive dish. It has been a staple on this CIA trained chef's menu since before NET was a brick and mortar store. My son who lives ITP drives to Alpharetta for this childhood fav of his; it is the perfect, ooey, gooey, buttery warm casserole that you crave on a cool night with a crisp salad and a glass or two of wine, and they have all of that as well. I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention the sirloin chili that a mutual friend would fly from his home in Italy to enjoy (and has done so) and the Italian sausage eggrolls that are crispy and filled with Italian goodness and a side of Marinara. Visited family in town this weekend and decided to give NET a try. Always passed it and thought it looked nice. The patio space is great however lets get to the food. BOTTOM LINE...don't waste your money here. The quality of the food and ingredients used are horrible. Ordered an avocado toast and it tasted like their chef walked over to publix and got a pre made spread and just put it on a piece of toast. NOTHING tasted fresh. Also their gluten free bread is horrendous. It was served untoasted and soggy. Eggs on top of toast were cold as well. Barely eatable. Not worth the time or money for something you can make at home and taste 10x more fresh. read more

What a fantastic experience! We arrived at 11 for lunch on Saturday which was a good move because the place started getting packed about 15 mins later. The ambiance was fantastic. Perfect for a girls lunch. The young man who took our order was extremely nice and helpful. I had balsamic chicken wrap, my mom had chicken salad on a salad and my sister had the Robs pantry salad with chicken. We were ooooing and ahhhing over every bite. I don't think I've ever inhaled a wrap faster. It was a perfect portion size, the tomatoes were fresh and the chicken was perfect. My mom and sister both said "this is the best salad I've ever had". They both agreed the balsamic was the best they've ever tasted. I went back to the counter to order a coffee and the girl who took my order could not have been nicer. Tonight was our first experience with Never Enough Thyme, and it was a comedy of errors to say the least. Our teen has been there multiple times and likes their chicken. So, in we go. The very friendly server was reminded by another employee that they were out of fries. Without asking if it was acceptable she said "have them do home fries instead". I heard the exchange and opted for grouper sandwich with mac and cheese instead. While ordering we asked for two teas and were given cups. When I went to get tea I found all three tea options empty. When I asked a staff member I was told there "was a big leak and we don't have any tea". That would have been nice to know when I paid for two teas. We sat for about 10 minutes and saw the fish and chips and the grouper sandwich be placed at the window by a kitchen staffer who was unmasked (well, it was hanging from his ear). For twenty minutes we watched two the very busy two members of the waitstaff pick up our plates and put them back down no less than four times. Finally after 20 minutes they gave up on waiting for kids chicken fingers and just brought us out lukewarm fish. It was another 5-10 minutes before the kids meal showed up. I will say the mac and cheese was divine, even though I had to ask for it again to get it delivered. This cluster seemed to be repeating at tables all around us. They were likely understaffed and things were obviously chaotic. The staff was holding their own under pressure, even as it seemed to be falling apart. There are too many good options in view out the window of this restaurant for things to go this poorly. I'm sure the kid will be back for her chicken with friends, but my husband and I returning is less likely. During our stay we heard the staff tell one person to just come back later because they were backed up and heard four others be told that an item they ordered was out of stock or running low. read more

Had high hopes but was disappointed. It's counter service which is not my favorite but when done well is fine. I ordered a brunch scramble. It was super bland, zero seasoning, eggs were over cooked and for some reason the cheese was on the bottom of the bowl. I went back up to the counter to ask for a side of remoulade to try and jazz it up and had to stand there for several minutes waiting to be acknowledged even though there were several people up there working. It was much better once I added the remoulade but still mediocre considering the $13 price. The biscuit was hard, for a place like this I would've expected some house made jams or side of butter rather than a plain biscuit. My son wanted a coffee, I asked for a coffee menu but they couldn't find one. We did order the chicken noodle soup and that seemed homemade and fresh and was much better than my entree. We also got the flourless chocolate cake and that was very good. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, may give it another try but there are many other great restaurants in the area that are always on point. read more

We stopped in around 1:30 on a thurs afternoon to grab lunch. They were very busy. After each of us ordered a wrap sandwich we found an un-bussed table outdoors. We cleaned it ourselves after waiting for someone to clear it off. After waiting 20 minutes for our sandwiches I went inside to make sure they hadn't misplaced our orders. I was told " we are very busy" and they looked at my receipt. My husband went back inside ten minutes later to check. The lady he spoke with was rude and annoyed that we were complaining it had taken 30 minutes for our food to get to our table ( these were wraps people!). It finally arrived and they had the wrong wrap for my husband. We were so hungry at that point we just dealt with it. Food was good but they clearly have issues getting food out in a timely manner. Alpharetta has lots of restaurants. But not many of them are very good. Mostly all have poor seating, overpriced burgers or food fare and survive because people want to walk around downtown. NET is a GREAT alternative to all those places. Really good food, fair prices and great service/atmosphere. It is a lunch kinda place with a great buzzy atmosphere. Order at counter and the food is delivered to your table pretty quickly, plenty of seating. I have eaten here 3 times and absolutely love the food and staff. Today I asked for the manager to complement my experiences, Janet-Assistant manger came over and visited with my wife and I. She could not have been more delightful.
