The second time I stopped by I got a gel manicure, but I was left unimpressed. I will admit I was in dire need of one, but the nail tech left more of a border around the nail than I would have liked. I know I could have spoken up, but he wasnt as friendly and more reserved. He also mentioned that because of my short natural nails sometimes the color would puddle at the tips. It was a little odd since the customer next to me also has natural nails (but she did regular polish) that werent significantly longer than mine. I will say I do appreciate the cleanliness of the space, and also their massage chairs for pedicures. They warm up and also do massage on legs and back. I asked to do square white dip powder and my nail tech wasn't willing to do what I wanted. I got a mani and pedi and my pedi turned out great. The lady was super sweet and provided great service. My manicure tech first told me she wouldn't cut down my nails shorter after I had asked her to which she responded "it'll look ugly". I understand for specific nail shapes like almond a specific length is required to achieve that look but not for square. I then told her about how my family owns nail shops and she proceeded to make a comment about how it's a chop shop based on its location. In any circumstance when is it ever appropriate to make that comment?? This salon is nice and it is on the pricier side but the service does not meet the price point. I had multiple witnesses as well who can attest to these comments since I went with my friends. My square shape also came out wide, bulky, and ugly. I had to refile and reshape themselves. I usually show some inspo pics and Mandy does a great job to make my nails come out the way I would like. She has explained how different pictures use different techniques, how colors blend to get the look you might like and also that each hand and nail is unique so you can own your own!
