Warning: These people are crooks. Do Not Buy a Car from this Dealership: I don't even know where to begin. Let me just give a quick backstory: I'll start by saying that I was in a horrific car accident this past May. I nearly died. I broke my back in 6 places, broke 3 ribs. I was in the hospital and rehab for 3 months. Unfortunately, it was my wife's car that was totaled. I haven't wasn't able to drive (or walk) until just recently. So my wife has been driving my car in the meantime. Now that I'm ready to go back to work my wife needed a new car. She wanted a Jeep Renegade. We found the one she wanted at Babylon Honda. The salesperson, Jules, assured us that the car had been thoroughly looked over and that everything worked perfectly. They said that only the highest standard of vehicles are sold there. We took it for a test drive, and tested out most of the features. Unfortunately, the one thing we didn't test out was the sunroof. It's a double sunroof. We did ask Jules about it and he assured us that it had been tested and worked perfectly. Big mistake taking his word. We bought the car and on the way home we tested the sunroof and it didn't work. So we called them back immediately. They said to bring the car in. It was sent to their service station and it sat there for days. We kept calling to ask what was happening, and each time they said the manager was busy and that they would call us back. They never did, but they assured us that the problem was being looked at. After 10 days they told us that they couldn't fix it because it was a Honda dealership and the workers weren't sure how to fix it, so they contacted Jeep professionals to come look at it. They said that they were discussing with Jeep, whom they purchased the car from, of which one of them was responsible for the cost of fixing it. We get a call back telling us that unfortunately they were not responsible and they would not be fixing the car for us, and for us to come down and pick the car up, as is. We then said that we would like to return the car, and they said that they will not take it back, and that if we refused to come get it they will claim that the car was abandoned and that the town will come to tow it and it'll destroy our credit if we don't pay. So now I'm stuck with a car that the main feature doesn't work - it also makes a whistling sound, which I didn't hear on the test drive, coming from the broken sunroof. And the cost of fixing this out of pocket will be thousands of dollars. The sick part is that they knew about my accident, and pretended to care while we were there. All they had to do was take the car back, but I guess they don't want to be stuck with it, so they screwed us with the burden. On top of all this the experience there, while buying the car, was excruciating. We were there for 6 hours, mostly just sitting at the desk waiting to finalize the deal with the sales manager. We nearly walked out, and obviously now, I wish we had. So please, don't make the same mistake that we made. Find another dealership where the people are more honest. I had the worst humiliating experience at "The New Babylon Honda". I was going on my third lease total of 6years. After the back-and-fourth for a week, incomplete paperwork I kept receiving, I ended up back at the dealership with my 8 year old son till 11:00pm on a school night!! Even after seeing the signs of disinterest on their behalf, I was still providing everything they kept requesting. On the last day; I signed all paperwork once again and charged the down payment to my debit card.... They gave me another roadblock which I couldn't understand the issues they were creating for me and themselves. This was beyond outrageous!!! I left out of there in tears! The sales person was great, helpful and respectful trying to help me out. But I noticed there was a personal issue between the manager and the sales person. Therefore, it was obvious the manager wasn't going to allow the sale to move forward. I did not get treated like a loyal customer. I felt racially profiled by the manager on duty! However, GREAT NEWS I went to Honda of Valley Stream. They were able to complete what Babylon Honda was incompetent of doing! This review is of the service center. I would give 0 stars of I could. I recently moved locally and was so excited that there was a Honda service c verve with in walking distance. No matter how convenient, I will never bring my car back there. My car was brought in mid June after I hit a hidden pot hole and destroyed the engine cover. I explained to them that I have a long commute on rough road and needed this fixed asap to prevent more damage. They did not have the part in stock. Ok. However, they would not order the part until it was anyway paid for. This makes me nervous right away, but they assured us the part would be in that week. Ok,I didn't see much other choice. Now it is almost 4 weeks later and the part still is not in. Nobody has any info when it will be in. The service agent is not returning calls, so i called Honda of America customer service. ApparentlyBabylon Honda rated this order a priority #4 which is the lowest priority rating and therefore there is no eta for this part I already paid for. Meanwhile, my commute is 3+ hours on rough road that's pot home ridden and constantly under construction and I know it's only a matter of time until the now unprotected engine underbelly itself is damaged. TLDR: STAY AWAY! Find a better dealership! Long version: Few months back I was looking for a new car, I did my homework, knew the deal/price that I was willing to pay, called up and visited several different dealerships to get the best price. At the end of my search, I reached out to New Babylon Honda and spoke with Dana who agreed to beat the offer I had gotten previously by $100. Fair enough. I told her I'd come in to close the deal. Long story short, I spoke with the sales person when I got to the dealership, they assured me I'd be getting the price we agreed upon over the phone and was told to wait for the finance guy. Fast forward a few hours after I'd been waiting aimlessly, without being shown any documents, finance guy, Phil was ready for me. He proceeds to try and have me sign off on a deal where the price was not only NOT what we had agreed upon, but SEVERAL THOUSAND over MSRP... and kept telling me "no no, the math is complicated, but you are getting the car for the exact price you agreed to!" When it was written clear as day "Sale price: $XXXXX." He proceeded to try and tell me this story for an hour even after I literally told him to cancel the deal and refund my money (they charged me for the initial payment and tax/title/license) before the deal was signed, again BIG MISTAKE on my part. I leave the dealership 3 hours after it closed with no car. I called every level of management at New Babylon Honda to see if anyone had the INTEGRITY to answer to their own faults, turns out they do not. The managers - Phil, general manager - Ron McDougald, finance - Phil. Not a single one has a grain of integrity in their body. Managers all avoided calls, made promises of sending out refund checks, etc. Never received a refund or a call back. By now you get the point, everyone in this dealership is a fraud. Would never suggest To use Service Department horrible . Recently took my 2019 Ridgeline for Emissions light . They kept car for 2 days could not diagnose problem . I had to call on second day to find out the Service Advisor never came in and no one new about the car and could not repair. Met with a second advisor to pick vehicle up and he stated I could have a loaner car on October 12,2022 I called today and no one got back to me for confirmation. I then called this afternoon and the receptionist states " we don't know when a loaner is coming back " I don't know that a dealership does not know when there cars are coming back so they just kept me on hold. Brought the car in last month. All of my error lights were coming on. They said it was the battery so they changed it. It did not fix the issue. Brought the car back today. They want to charge $175to run a diagnostic they never saw the issue. It's on YouTube if they need to learn. The worst part was that the service advisor said that I needed an oil change and tire rotation. When I took the car back because I wasn't paying, I looked at the oils lights.
