I recently took a hit to the rear of my Toyota, and Liberty Mutual directed me to this shop for an estimate and, if I chose to use them, the repair job as well. Anyway, as long as I was already there, I gave them the job, which turned out pretty damn good. In our other car, we had a couple of body-related issues that my regular repair shop felt were beyond the scope of his ability, so I called G & B, explained the problems, and dropped it off. They not only fixed the problems, they charged my NOTHING for their time and labor. It makes you think that there are still some real human beings still out there. I was rear ended by an electrician's moving van. This experience was terrible, but after lots of negotiation, they agreed to pay for my damages and a rental car while my car was being fixed. They suggested that I go to G & B Collision as it is where they get all of their vehicles serviced. I did as they suggested to get an estimate. The service at G & B was fantastic. Throughout the entire terrible process of trying to get my car fixed, G & B did everything they could to make sure that my car was taken care of to the best standards and that I was not taken advantage of bu the company who rear ended me. Well they did it again! Cam in with the Mother-in-Laws car. A 10 year old high mileage compact car that shows the wear signs of someone who is well traveled. The car had unplanned meeting with the cement base of a light pole and needed some bumper work. Once we told them that we just wanted to keep it on the road, so the bumper wasn't sagging anymore and interfering with the wheel well. Andy and crew did a masterful job of mating the fender and bumper together along with the wheel well liner so the car looks whole again. all that's left are the scratches in the bumper cover. She's ready for another 100,000+ miles. read more

Came here for a back bumper dent repair because of good references from my friends. The guy who runs the shop is a very nice man. Gave me several options and the exact price up front, no hassle and no nonsense. I picked the cheapest option (just pull out the dent and polish), and it came back great, barely noticeable unless you really look for it! Probably as good as I can ask for for the price paid. Would definitely come back here if something else happens (hopefully not). Highly recommended. For the first time I don't feel like i'm being conned for my money getting a car-related service. G & B totally screwed me over. I needed to have my bumper replaced after an accident that left one side of it out of place. I searched high and low to find a reputable shop that would do good, honest work and not rip me off. G&B seemed like a great choice based on glowing Yelp reviews. After meeting with Andy, I felt confident I wouldn't be taken advantage of and went ahead with the repair. The bumper was replaced in 3 days and I left satisfied. Fast forward a couple months later and the same side of my bumper just POPS out of place. I peered into the disjointed bumper and to my horror, discovered a huge wad of hot glue staring back at me, confessing that it was the only thing holding my sad bumper in place. I mean, I don't know a lot about cars but I sure as hell know that my car was not manufactured with hot glue and a prayer. It is infuriating to think that this place could take the cheapest, lameass shortcut and continue business. I doubt they even replaced my bumper. They charged me well over $1000 for a 1/2 stick of hot glue + a good ol' heave ho. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT!!!!!! read more

My wife went to see Andy for a quote on the vehicle. The front side bumper had come off. Andy said that this bumper did not need to be replaced. He also said that this front bumper already had previous damage to it, because of the marking behind it. He said all he needed was a bracket to put it back in place. It ended up costing us $25. Andy also said that if we wanted a new bumper he would replace it. He checked with Nissan for the bumper and it was somewhere in the mid 200 for the parts and with labor it would cost us around 500. Another collision place wanted 750 and said the parts cost 450. I am very happy to see that Andy is a very honest person. I will come back to him because it is hard to find honest car people. I hope this helps out others in this local area to find a honest auto collision specialist. read more

I've brought a number of cars to G & B over the last 5 years or so. Andy, the owner and shop manager, has always been honest. The prices he quotes are fair, the work is excellent, and if he tells you it will be 3 days, your car will be in immaculate condition after 3 days. This is the right kind of body shop - not so big where you will be lost in the shuffle and not too small where you could be out of luck if the one body guy gets a cold and doesn't come in for a week. It's a definite plus that this shop is less than 100 feet from the Port Jeff railroad station so it's very easy to drop your car after hours and then hop a train home, if necessary. I would strongly reccomend that if you ever need work done to at least let Andy give you an estimate. read more
